Lahore area is 1770 sq km where bangaluru are is 772 sp km where as the population of lahore is only 1.1 crore and bangaluru population is 1.36 crore. This means the bangalore is less than half in area as compared to lahore and banglore population is more than lahore so density of population is more in bangalore. Thats why bangalore is growing vertically and not bcoz people in bangalore is not having money or they are poor. They have enough money to buy any lahori.

I know - I have Been and stayed there many a times - Thats why I said New town area of Kolkata . Though its a satellite city but it was awarded as top 10 cleanest city of India - and it's expanding like I have seen hell lot of constructions still going on. New hotels, Colleges , Shopping Malls , Apartment building are being built and area is expanding in the nearby villages and in farmers lands too. People always say that Kolkata is old and dirty which is not the case in every part of Kolkata like if you will visit to Victoria side, salt lake side, New town area etc etc they are quite modern well maintained and clean.
