He answered me: "No, I was not a smoker, I have never had drugs, and I just drink socially, so what the doctors told me is the main reason people who are not smokers get this kind of cancer (because it was indeed a benign cancer tumor what he got) and the reason why I probably got it: Oral sex. I leave it to anyone reading this to do a further research, but in fact he was not lying, you can find online about throat cancer related to oral sex. So, James, Alex, save that for later, you might need it some years from now.
Throat cancer from oral sex isn't that common and when it is caused it's most likely because you performed oral on someone with HPV. So, make sure there aren't any warts on your partner's privates before giving oral and you won't really be at any risk. However, this is only information I got from various (possibly trustworthy) sources on the internet by searching "Throat Cancer by Oral Sex"
