Lena will represent Germany with the song "Taken by a stranger" at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf (Germany), taking place on the 10th, 12th and 14th of May.

You can see the difference from satellite. Even though it's been just one year, in satellite she was a kiddo, in this song she is such a lady.

Now I've listened to all the songs three times, and have come to the conclusion that "Taken by a stranger" is my favourite. Lena isn't necessarily the best voice, but still her voice has an interesting timbre, and after listening to the on stage performance performing this song, she sounds well good enough, the song itself being the best this year in the competition, to be No. 1 overall.

Das heißt genau genommen das Lena bei der Jury sehr gut abgeschnitten haben muss da deren wertung heute mit hineinfloss, rein an zuschauerstimmen lag sie mit Jedward exakt gleichauf.
Lena attracts men of all ages, no question, but her big favour is, that she collects votes from women too, She does not perform like a slutty pornstar. While those girls get no votes from the independent and modern girls and women of Europe, Lena behaves and articulates herself in interviews and TV appearances as kind of a role model for them.
Lena is sexy, but not slutty, she es rather intelligent, but not nerdy, she is just cool. She does not have to obey to men, men obey to her.
She always sings live, that's the difference.
Somehow I think about J.J.Cale if I listen to her.

Lena should've defended her title. This song is amazing. I liked Hungary's entry in 2011, but this beat Hungary's by miles!!! (Even though I love Kati!)

@Politeios1 I somewhat agree with you. Hearing / watching the song on a video clip and live on Eurovision stage can give totally different experiences. I'll keep an open mind when I watch her performance on Eurovision, that's for sure. It's just that the reason why I'm doubtful of this song in the first place is the fact that statistically, people usually vote for very energetic songs, very emotional songs, or quirky & 'different' / unexpected songs and I'm just basing my opinion on that.

This song is frustrating : every 30 seconds I am waiting for it to suddenly explode with a quicker beat and to her voice to follow, but it never happens... Nice song but disapointing in the end...

Hat was von Bondgirl. Ist es schon mal vorgekommen, das ein und der selbe Künstler zweimal hintereinander beim Eurovision Song Contest gewonnen hat? Das Lied finde ich persönlich sogar besser als das, mit dem sie damals gewonnen hat.

Like always, this is a subjective matter. This song might be special in a way, but it lacks the atmosphere when performed on stage. Additionally, Lena isn't the type to put on a great show. While Satellite is a song which is better suited for a live performance, this song clearly isn't. Because of Lena's accumulated fans from last year I think she will end up at an average rank.
Most underrated contestant this year: Iceland. Think they'll make a surprise.

You do know that this was made only one year after Satellite, right? This was Germany's contribution in Eurovision 2011 (Satellite won 2010).

From what I've seen at the Eurovision, I think Lena is by far one of the most talented artists to have performed on there (twice!). I was quite disappointed by the latest winner, Måns. Eurovision seems to have become all lights, show, and tone elevation or whatever that's called.
Lena really seems to create her own, unique music. Either that or her songwriters are f*cking rad. Cheers

It's a decent song! And definately among the top of the contest songs. Enjoyed it better when didn't watch the video.
I'd say there's good chances to the top 5, maybe even top 3.
