love this! Would love to see the opposite on how to come back from a bad start/opener
This please!!!
this was superb! more of this educational content please Mr Soap.
Mr Soap 😆
Thanks so much for taking the time and doing this, super informative, love your content man keep grinding but don't get burnt out please :)
thanks for the content man. your thought processes actually gives me so much more clarity w "correct" decision making towards my own games
Awesome content, thank you for the detailed explanations!
very informative! love this content keep it up!
Awesome game! Learned a lot about not throwing leads/the ideology behind early game item slams.
During the 3-2 item component pick, was taking Chain Vest to make a sunfire cape not a choice because you were high HP and thought good Kai'sa Items would be taken early in the upcoming carousel or would you always make a Kai'sa item regardless of your pick order for the upcoming 3-5 carousel? (In this game, you ended up completing a tank item on carousel, but if you were earlier pick, would you still prioritize a belt/chain over a component for a third Kai'sa item? Assuming there was no glove to make a Guardbreaker)
WOW. ur so good at explaining your thought process! please make more videos :)
dont really have problems going top 4 when winstreaking due to everything you explained in this video, but im struggeling when lowrolling early game, could you make one vid from such a spot?
just salvaging a top 5/6 from an insanly bad spot
This was great. Thank you.
This was a great video. I definitely have a good amount to learn from the late game econ. So interesting the threshold for what is considered econ there (10 gold, instead of something higher). I'm usually a donkey roll into stabilize and greed econ kind of player, but in these higher tempo lobbies, the conservative and deliberate rolling is super useful for me to know. It's very clear you have an amazing sense of the tempo of these lobbies. Thanks!
Hey Soap, i really like your informative content like this. It really helps me learn. I'm currently a master's player and learn alot from this. I had a question. Say like your 7min mark where it dropped you Kaisa and you picked it up but it fit well with your team. Would you still pick it up if you say had a sorc opening with no ap items?
yeaa this is the way pay attention. even till set 10 these concepts still work, they're fundamentals
From twitch thanks for vids
How do you like to position Aatrox when you intend to use him as a carry? When I have left over AD items and a Gwen on board as well, I want him to do more damage but he tends to die too quickly but I noticed your Aatrox did a decent amount of damage in the last fight!
great content man, so many small things that you explain in detail
I guess You should also upload the last game of the tournament. When You was about to die and then comeback for top 3. It was perfect remake of ur board
Amazing content
That was really instructive! I would've liked if you could explain the thought process a little when losing a streak, because you keep trying to win after. Is that because you scout and judge you can get a new win streak?
Often in my own games I end up with win-loss-win-loss from that sort of setup early game.
I think considering econ and HP as resources to balance/trade-off in stages 2-3 is pretty important; once a streak's been lost it probably makes more sense to preserve HP w/ a stronger board through stage 2 and just try to make econ breakpoints. 2-3 streak give the same gold, and it's hard to ensure that you can carry that over to a 4-streak at the beginning of stage 3 because board strengths can change quickly during that transition
Three important thing that players often forget:
1. Winning gives you 1 gold per round, and 2 steak bonus = 3 streak bonus. So WWLWW is still 7 bonus gold by 3-1. So try not to get stuck too hard in streak mindset at the cost of win gold.
2. unit damage for the first 4 units per round is always 2. So you can think of your 100 HP as losing by ~50 units total. When you frame it like that, you'll want to play strongest board more often early because you realize you're trading what might be 2 or 3 more gold stage 2 for what can end up being an entire life.
3. When you play for strongest board, you have a smaller gap between your strongest board next fight and your current board.
Soap pls make tierlist comps bro
can you explain leveling on 4 a bit more. Is it more cause you hit a sett and have iona in that you feel it is a good board to win without some 1 cost upgrades?
thanks for the content! I have a question: in round 3-1, you explain that you're not putting in samira, because 3 ionia is stronger than 4 challenger with your current board. you also could have leveled, which would have left you at 10 gold, but would've given you the 4 challenger and the 3 ionia.
As a lowly plat player, 1 week ago, I would have said, never level in this case, because I don't wanna grief my econ. today, I'd say always level (provided you have a unit you can put in), because I get a better board and have a higher chance of preserving streak (and, more importantly, conserving life).
I realise the top of the top players play a very different game than the rest of us, but I'm wondering if there is ever a situation where you level on round 3-1, even if you end up with less than 20 gold.
thanks again for the lessons!
Nice work, just a note here. This can be not that much effective in low elo lobbies, because the pressure are not that high and u usualy see perfect full meta comps more often.
So if you get jayce or ekko at 1-3 do you keep him or sell for interest?
Holy sheeesh this is such a genius vid that showcases 10 gold saving thru stage 8 that turned 3rd into 1st
is shroud good item to put it on tank class? or just put it on anyone to hit the enemy back line? :O
Hey btw, noticed in your videos the bottom of the game capture is missing. It's a bit jarring having part of it cut off
My goat
I just want to know if it was not better to sell the gwen you kept for like 4 rounds on the bench, it costed 4 econ golds in total, maybe a mistake ?
That was cool
How dis you hold the Sett and clicked on players board at same time? 17:30
hype match
7:05 bro 😂😂😂😂😂
isn't 2-star j4 better when you didn't have Yasuo? like Ionia doesn't do anything and you make Azir comp weaker, also bis j4 can't be bad, right?
If you could slow down some of the words it would help, some moments you speak so fast I don’t know what is being said
damn i feel like i can hit diamond after this vod
Awesome video
What is your thought process throughout the game? Is it, for example, "this is how I play stage 1,2,3 ect.", or "this is how I play early, mid and late game"?
On 5-2 at 18:03, would Ryze have been better than Gwen for a chance at items/gold + invoker trait
no gwen strong
On 6-1 minute number 21:40 you claim that no tank items are required. For me thats a not trivial statement because, would you explain to me why?
His main tank Shen, already has 3 items and putting a tank item on any of his other units doesn't do anything
this video is from before patch 13.14 or not otherwise nice game
if anyone minds giving me some updates on what’s good/changed now i’d appreciate it! i got into tft like about 2 years ago and just haven’t really been playing for the last like year, thank ya folks
I'm so new to TFT and feel like such a noob.
I thought I was good for hitting GM, but these challengers players plays a different game sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
Do you actually like the 13.14 meta?
Neat
zhonya is like straight up worst item for kaisa by stats wtf
"Lasagna diff"
soapi ,,,
6:40 those same ppl that say " Ohh u high rolled kaisa" also don't buy here there cause it's not a part of the comp they want to play 😂
How to always top 4: hit kaisa at krugs
Was this when challengers were actually good?
The luck was insane
Post the video when you’re actually rank 1
Why should I follow a guide of how to always top 4 from someone who sometimes doesn't top 4 PepoG
