Thank you so much for sharing! I grew up in El Paso and miss it so much. There is such beauty in the desert, I miss the mountains, I grew up in the area you were driving in. Once I left home, I lived in East El Paso, and loved that side of town! I truly enjoyed your video!

I was born in El Paso Texas but we moved to California when I was 7 years old. Last time I was there, I was 13. Who knows what happened to family. Now, this state is like a ghost town to me.

I was born and raised here decades ago. I dont belong there anymore and now live very far away. We have actual seasons with winter where i live now, which i love. But I walk those streets from time to time as the ghosts from my childhood haunt my thoughts before trailing off to sleep. Perhaps it is more about childhood and that one could be from (for example) God forsaken New Jersey😂 and still miss it. You might be impressed that my grandmother is still alive and lives there in that city. She was born before the Golden Gate Bridge in Frisco was built. As you may feel the same, I still cannot wrap my head around how fast time goes by and yet things of the past seem like they happened so long ago. May God truly bless you and your family. Haters will always hate, but oh well😂

Hi Blake. I missed your comment, just found it. I have a Blake too, grandson. (Love the name). I feel the same about my hometown. Couldn’t wait to get out of there but when I go back I am very nostalgic, which may be one of the reasons I left, not to “feel” so much. :). It would be nice to live in a place with actual seasons. I have lived all my life in TX except 2 months on OK which is so similar (as you may know) as to not be especially different so “seasons” does not mean much here and seems to be worsening. El Paso was great, can’t wait to get back there. I am in love with NM now as I bought a little piece of it. And as you know NM is right “there” to El Paso. Wonderful that your grandmother is still alive and living there. I agree with your thoughts that childhood / the past seems long ago and then also like yesterday. Despite my age my true self is still the 18 year old girl I used to be. Hope you get back to El Paso now and again, especially to see your Grandmother. My grandparents are long gone ❤. Vicki

Ciudad tan aburrido e insipidas. Y peor si no te alcanza ni para dar una vuelta. Que yo sepa a la mayoría no nos gusta. Estamos más por ciertos compromisos que por gusto. . Le faltan muchos parques. Y mucha acción. Mucho dinamismo.

@@eclecticvicki8376 I was rasied in El Paso its the most racist place on Earth u would think I grew up in Jim crow in the 60s. It's a place with very little opportunities. I moved to the DFW started my own business brought a house. I hate that place and never want to go back..even the people have suck a closed mind . Elpaso is cut off from the rest of the world. Of course when one visits you generally just get a feel for the sites and points of interest, not the hidden details. I love to travel so almost all of an area appeals to me visually. @@BUMPY_G_JAXON I don’t know about the racism part but what’s true is that there are very few worthwhile job opportunities in El Paso except if you work in healthcare, federal or local government. The gene pool is also isolated and explains why a lot of El Pasoans are related.
