Awesome review. Can the integrated graphics' VRAM buffer be increased inside the BIOS like how you do it with APUs like the 2400G? Have you tried that?
Thanks! I haven't tried changing buffer in BIOS. I might test it later though.
Guys read this reddit www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/7xijz3/how_do_i_give_more_than_2gb_of_ram_to_the_r5/ VRam is not limited to 512. It set to the that limit and after the buffer will be full it'll take memory from RAM.

I haven't noticed it personally, but I am using it for light tasks mostly. When I was testing games - I also haven't noticed anything abnormal.

Nice video! In this time period due to quarantine I always use laptop's webcam and so my friends. I think this is important, but it can be also bought. I was thinking about some cheaper webcam of about 20€ with 1080p resolution.
Thank You! Agree, if webcam is important - then its more convinient to have built in one, but if u stay at home anyways - you can easily buy cheaper 20-30$ camera, or if u prefer better quality - you can also invest more for better webcam (which will beat 99% of all laptop built-in webcams).
You can use external webcam like phone. Just download app & software Iruin Webcam . Can connect with wireless

Hello. Great vid,but I have one question. I've read a review of 4500u version on notebook heck and it's written,that Xiaomi limited the gpu shared main memory to 512 mb. Wanted to ask,if it's true,and if it is possible overcome it?

Never use my laptop Webcam 😅
kinda sad that there’s no camera but I think I’m ok if there’s no camera because I can use my tablet or phones for meetings 👍 I really love the design! and the bezels r amazing! I’m so happy that there’s more ports than the ones in macbooks. i really like the display! I’m saving my money to get this one because I need a windows laptop and this design really looks like a MacBook!

All the reviewers said you need to remove a screw behind one of the rubber feet in the bottom panel before opening the laptop, but you clearly didn't remove it and it still opened easily? :o
Hi. Thanks for watching and I hope you will get your laptop soon! Yes, you have remove the middle rubber feet and remove the screw. In video it's not seen due to editing. Its not posdible to remove cover unless you remove all the screws ;)

@@galirt9196 actually if you have official or licensed Xiaomi service in your country - you can simply go and all Xiaomi products should have 1 year warranty. Otherwise - you should contact seller for all inquires regarding warranty (Banggood delivers their own 1 years warranty).
@@galirt9196 but if you ask If I would still have warranty after opening and changing computer internals - most probably warranty will be void. Not sure, though.
Sorry, didn't get the moment with wifi-module for my english is poor. Can you tell me, you have upgraded it for some issues using it (it lost the signal, work badly in distance of wifi router) or it's because of problems with drivers?
Me also buy it at chinese shop (Ali) and is w8ing for its delivery. So i should decide whether i should order Intel ax200ngw now or wait for notebook. Original module in it is wcbn810l, did i get it right? Thanks for review. It was helpful.
Hi. Thanks for watching my review. I have tested original wifi module and signal strengh and download/upload speed was pretty bad. They have inserted pretty cheap wifi module, so I have decided to upgrade to AX200NGW. Now the speed is better.
You can wait and test how it works for you and if you feel like you need better speed - buy and upgrade to ax200.

The new wifi module works better even in terms of range? I have the redmibook 14" version and I decided not to upgrade since I don't have wifi 6 router in my house. Should I do it?
@@benficapedro2 if it works for you and you get normal wifi speed - no need to upgrade. I didn't test range, I have tested speed so from 150Mbps on stock wifi card it increased to 250Mbps on AX200.
Range should stay the same, as it's more about antennas located on laptop, rather than wifi module itself.

I think it's fixed right now that was just due to poor optimization for amd integrated gpu acceleration vs Intel integrated gpu and Adobe promised to fix the problem

@@Smeshling I can't find any reviewer to see how much improvement you can get from the new Adobe amd gpu encoding support so I can't promise anything to you there is another problem with his review I don't know if he didn't noticed that but I know you can allocate up to 4gb of ram to the igpu on ryzen 4000 apus (2gb is the sweet spot)

Thanks for the great and objective review!! However I don't understand why it doesn't perform as it should in the Adobe programs. As you said, that might be a software issue, but if it is a hardware one, nobody would buy a ryzen powered editing machines this year

To my knowledge, it's Adobe's fault. Premier Pro isn't optimized properly yet.

Because Adobe is Intel's bitch, and paid to work poorly on AMD chips...
It software adobe has problems with AMD it better for example to use davincia code

Which will provide better gaming performance? Amd 4700u + amd integrated or Intel i7 10th gen (upto 4.9Ghz) + mx350?
MX350 has dedicated video memory of 2GB, meanwhile AMD - only 512MB. So I am pretty sure, Intel i7 + MX250/350 should handle games better.

Vienas pastebėjimas. Geros temperatūros yra daugiau AMD nuopelnas, nei Xiaomi. Jei kompiuteris naudotų pavyzdžiui i7 9750h ar i7 10750h, temperatūros būtų pastebimai didesnės. Puikus video, lauksiu kitų apžvalgų.
Ačiū už komentarą! Visiškai teisingai pastebėta dėl temperatūrų. Bus įdomu pažiūrėt kaip tvarkysis RedmiBook 16 modelis su Intel i7-10510U, nes bet kuriuo atveju modelio su i7-10750H nebus (ne tas segmentas).
Does anyone else face problem with bluetooth... ?
To be more specific, when the bluetooth is enabled, for some strange reason, the speed of the WiFi decreases.... As if one interferes with the frequency of the other.
I have Redmibook 16 with R7-4700U, 16Gb Ram, 512 GB purchased from Banggood in September 2020.

I think there must be an option in GPU Settings or bios to increase shared video memory up to 2GB! (if bios or software is translated to English)

I have this laptop. Its fine. Except for a dead pixel in the screen. The chinese windows is SUPER HARD to deal with. And I wish for more USB ports

Does It have a good refrigerator system? I mean, does it get hot easily?
Hi. During my testing and usage period of 2-3 weeks - no overheating or whatsoever. Fans usually keep very silent, thermals are good.
So to give a short answer to your question - no, it doesn't get hot easily.

Bad part of this laptop is no driver support reformated my redmibook 16 but no drivers. Lost dts as well as I got a bad wifi driver. It works but now has many lacking after I formated it.
Thats why you backup drivers before installing fresh windows. But you can also download drivers from internet. I did that.

Hi. Most of the drivers will be updated directly through Windows updates, and for the missing ones - I have used application called "DRIVERFIX".

Just download and install fresh Windows 10 Home from Microsoft and you can change to any language you want :)

@@NiuxTech thank you, I actually did that, I had a problem with this laptop once with download it in the English version there was no wifi driver for some reason so I just installed window 10 pro and change the language from there
I believe it is better to download home edition to get an activated windows 10 as the activation process will be done automatically after installation from the device BIOS. For your issue, I usually recommend to backup all the device drivers using an application & to restore them with the new fresh windows 10. what you faced is normal due to lacking of wifi drivers that require your interference via using a USB flash with the required drivers to recognize all the device parts.

Well, that's pretty basic. You will need to remove screws from the cover, remove old wifi card and insert the new one. If you are afraid to do that or not sure how exactly to do it - maybe you could bring your laptops to specialists, that could do the job for you.
