Thanks, Brian. Those re-issues are a great deal. I rarely have problems with sealed records. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times the records were damaged.
Coop is on quite a few June Christie albums. She’s one of my favorites. She has such a deeply silky rich voice. Those are some great OJC titles you picked up. What a fantastic score! Congrats! The Miles record looks like it has a slight whoopdeedoo in it. Great that it doesn’t interfere with playback. Charlie Brown even color coordinated his outfit with the Prestige label. 😂
I also like June's vocals. I'll have to pay more attention to Coop next time I play her albums. Miles was basically flat throughout. I think the light coming in from the shade may have made it seem warped. I've had good luck with OJC pressings, partly because most if not all, are on 120 to 150-gram vinyl. Chuck always goes the extra Mile(s) for the occasion.
Amazing how you find the deals Mark. You do know what you’re looking for which is half the battle. Steve has been talking a lot about ghosting and problems with sealed records so this was interesting to see how yours came out.
Thanks, Steve. I have been enjoying Steve’s series. Some of the comments have been really helpful. I've had a 95% success rate with sealed records, which I think you'd find interesting. Have a great weekend. I'm sure you're off to some beautiful setting.
I'm going solo, this way I won't forget something like the Skynyrd "Second Helping" that I left there.. It still might be in the stack of ten boxes that I dug through on my last vid
Hi Mark - Fabulous deal on these OJC records. The sealed record looks and sounds great!

very cool, OJC pressinngs are a good way to get some hard to find jazz albums,i got one OJC gifted to me!!
I agree! There are so many titles in that series. It can be overwhelming to try to get them all.
all I can think of is we need more Charlie Brown dancing videos
He can certainly cut a rug.

Nice overview of these OJC releases, Mark. Here's hoping for some price drops as you say. Miles looks and plays great! 😎🎶
Thanks, Ed. 🙂

I only have a couple of OJC titles.. By chance, is Don Elliott on your other Miles album from the early 50's ?
Hi Jt,
Don isn't listed on the album. The session dates are from '53 and '54. Keep your eyes open for OJC titles while you're out hunting. 🙂
I will ! I got a call from the warehouse guy
He has 2000 LP'S coming in. I m going over there this Sunday.
That’s amazing! I could spend hours and hours digging.
