No one should desire to be pastors unless God literally calls you. This is a problem within the churches, people always wanting to be in some position for self elevation and praise. And the brother should have done this in private. Kim Burrell was tripping. This type of egotistical crap needs to stop.
..Just because the Pastor has authority in the Church doesn't mean he has made it through himself. We all are trying to get through this thing called Life. Be sure the rebuke is done in Humility & Love, & not Pride & Shamefulness, otherwise two cannot agree, nor walk together..

This should have been done in private. When he said "...I'm going to stand you up before the people..." which indicates he should have done this in private. I have no comments about Kim Burell.
Well, for me, this blessed my life. The Holy Spirit told me to push in my deepest trials, and when this pastor said to the man, he need to push as there is a calling on his life. Maybe this pastor has rebuked this man in private, but now he needs an open rebuke. We are supposed to rebuke when it is warranted. Luke 17:3; James 5:20; Proverbs 12:1; and Psalm 141:5 are great scriptures to read.
For him to go on and on, is questionable! To rebuke others is ignorant! Perhaps this Pastor is hiding, speaking about himself seems very logical to me! GOD BLESS!
That’s a grown man with a grey beard over there, ain’t no way I would let another man talk to me like that in the name of “I’m your leader” calling me his son. If that was my husband I would think something is wrong with him letting another man talk to him like that with a full grey beard!
Some people grey early so wisdom doesn't come with age. Better the counsel of a friend than kisses of an enemy. Funny we will take constructive from an evil manager on a job. But will be offended when a leader corrects us.

That is a man in his 40s maybe even 50s with a wife and children. The word says to call no man your father except your biological father and your Father in heaven. It’s foolishness grown men and women running around calling other grown women mama mama …..daddy father it’s absolutely crazy and nowhere else do you find this kind of behavior but in cults.

The is what a true prophet and shepherd does. Speak the truth in love. as a matter of fact, that whole church needs to do what the Pastor said. man is not the only one. This is a word for the whole body of Christ in America. too much entertainment and not enough work and service to The Lord's people. He is telling him right... he loves him to correct him. This is true godly maturity. And she is telling it right, we as a church needs to be corrected and operate in godly excellence. We as God's people must give God our best, not mess. The Pastor was right to evaluate and correct the junior leader...but...his approach was wrong...
He should have summoned the young man to the church administration office...on a non-church business day...and...in private...to express his concerns and steps of correction and growth to the young man...
Even in righteous correction...you still want to protect the subordinate's dignity and self-esteem...💯
That ain’t no young man that is a grown man with a big ol grey beard with a wife and a family. This religious stuff is just and excuse for people to have false sense of control and talk down to people, calling another grown man his son. It’s crazy, I doubt God is pleased with any of this made up stuff.

His approach was out of order as far as I’m concerned. All of what the Pastor said should have and could have been done in his office or pulled him to the side away from everyone.
This is just wrong, but some black folk are used to and accustomed to punitive and abusive leadership. And this so-called rebuke come with music in the background, then again I'm not surprised, but disappointed. He went too far in his public correction, and allowing the correction to rebuke others who don't agree in his presence. Definitely unhealthy fear resides in that assembly.
This pastor was dead in how he handled this rebuke. We serve a God of integrity and do things in order. It should have never been recorded. I am a PK and my father never openly rebuked anyone in that manner. I pray this man was able to recover and stayed with God.
Maybe why Christendom is in the mess its in😢 Not enough rebuking and people being called to maturity 😢

Matthew 18: 15- 17 tells everyone, including pastors, to go one on one 1st and then a second person, then the church lasts for rebuke. I hope this is the way this pastor did because it looked and sounded very bad. God is love. I'm just saying peace and love ❤️
The Pastor can rebuke me to whatever hell he thinks he has control over. That "rebuke" was wayyy over the top. That brother looked like he was the same age as him if not older. I thought he was talking to a teenager before they showed his face. (He know he was frontin about that 20k to lol)

@@sreamingonline6160exactly. First of all, if that's rebuke, that was too long. It sounded like he kept repeating himself. He could have just said what was needed and moved on. Second, why would he put him out the church, if he hasn't done anything?
You do thing in desently and in order with God, its ok to correct, if you are in the right order pastor, dont offend,dont tare down,and dont get affensive, tell them with the love of God, a not in front of the whole church, some things need to be said privately conversation

When I was watching this video, at first, my thoughts were this pastor humiliated this man in front of the congregation. However, the Holy Spirit brought this scripture back to me, which I read a couple of weeks ago, which states, "Open rebuke is better than secret love" Proverbs 27:5-6.
Sounds like he doesn’t want this man to leave his church and wants him to continue being a servant to him. He’s insecure and trying to admonish this man from not moving forward because it will hinder his ministry. That man needs to go on and leave and have faith and believe God, not man. Clearly the preacher is a narcissistic bully, and doesn’t want to lose him as a member. Leave!

pastors who are truely called and sent by god, do have the authority to rebuke their sheep,,, BUT not cuss while they do it. sheppards need to watch what they say also in front of god , and the church.
This is what the Pastor job is. We want to be Openly Rewarded and Privately rebuked... conviction produces Conversion.

I'm so excited....I finally get a chance to tell someone. We all see it, but we can't do anything about it. FTR Jesus saw it too, and changed it, but if you don't study the Bible, you don't know. But really no one teaches it....I think they don't teach it because it requires deep study.... and most churches just repeat what they've heard other pastors say, instead of study. But people it's in there! FIRST let me ask you a couple of questions. 1. Do you feel like church leadership is a "family business"? 2. Like you have to be related to the pastor to get a position?" ANSWER: Yes, but we can't do anything about it. SIDENOTE: I've noticed the preachers kids "act up" the hardest because they don't want the attention nor the job. But they get picked anyway, just because it's the pastor's child. " I've noticed there is a lot of money in even small churches, and the pastor can't part with it. The pastor feels it belongs to him because he worked for it. This is also the reason a pastor won't retire. Read Numbers 8:25." Now for your lesson: 1. NONE OF THIS IS OF GOD... and this pastor knows it, that's why gets a little threatening toward his audience. . 2. THIS IS CLEARLY A FAMILY BUSINESS..... and he's telling his son he's about to blow the family business. 3. So THIS IS POINTED OUT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT if you would study the "most Holy" verses in the Bible. You'll hear how the priest were asking for "the tithe" and how when you "gave to the priest, it was for him and his sons".... when you gave to "him and his sons, it was most Holy". 4. THIS IS WHY JESUS HAD TO COME.... Jesus came and straightened this out... Jesus made his believers followers part of the royal priesthood.... meaning you do the duties of the priest. You distribute the tithe. Why? Because those priests in the Old Testament turned it into a family business. (For the priest and his sons). 5. THIS IS ONE OF THE MAJOR THINGS THAT JESUS CHANGED, FULFILLED BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS... you need to do a comparison study between the old and new Testaments. Study faith that's a new Testament concept... my favorite! 6. Anyway THIS IS WHY WE HAVE THE HOLY GHOST. Read Jude, the Holy Ghost replaced the "most Holy" most Holy is only in the New Testament once, to show that it was replaced. 7. I discovered "most Holy".... when i studied all the holy verses. People teach Holy like it's a burden, when i know that God is not a burden. FYI it turns out "holy" simply means "healthy". Do the healthy thing. Don't do the unhealthy thing. For instance. "Remember the Sabbath day, it is holy" could read "Remember to rest one day in seven, it is healthy". 8. Then i pulled out the 89- Holy Ghost verses, which are found only in the New Testament. FYI they've taken Ghost out of all Bible versions except King James. They say Ghost scares people. 9. At some point in my study i noticed "most Holy" and read them...I was oh wow, it was like a family business. They are still doing that today. 10. So bottom line: In the Old Testament they taught the tithe where you bring 10% to the priest to distribute... and the priest looked out for his sons. However in the New Testament, Jesus changed it, he made us the priest were to distribute the tithe...11. Now you need to know where to distribute the tithe. FYI it's 6 areas

Nobody will ever listen at him preach anymore. Jesus is his foundation. Thats why a pastor watches with you.
Some stuff need to be said in private no blast people in public . But If We Are Christians and to Do Stuff In Order Then You Will Know What To Do But U Don’t Tell Nobody They Will Fail Because U Expecting Them To Do It 💯

I am surprised that I am in agreement with this Pastor's rebuke and the setting. The reason why I think that it was okay to do it in front of everyone is because it was a learning moment for all. Also, the Pastor mentioned that he had spoken to him many times before about rendering service in the house of God. So, even based on Matthew 18, the Pastor is now bringing him before the congregation. I pray that "Bree" humbles himself and become a true servant of God. This pastor is sending up the warning flags to keep him from becoming the type of "pastor" that we see so often these days. I commend the pastor for truly caring for this man's soul and not just the gifts that he possess. We need more of this in the Body of Christ.

After hearing the entire message, he's correct. If he had to serve, then the young man needed to serve and he dropped the ball three times. He corrected him in private several times; therefore, if the son dropped the ball again that warrants an open rebuke. I didn't understand his fussing at the congregation. Did somebody say something against what he said? He rebuked the son to grow him. He even used himself as an example.

Open rebuke is better than secret love. Proverbs 27:5. I got corrected in church in this manner, and it was quite embrassing, but I took it and changed. God corrects those of his children and whom he loves. Bottom line, if you can not take correction, then the bible says you are not God's child. At times, God corrects us to get us to change our behavior. So, this pastor was on point, although I do not agree with the cussing.
I was agreeing with you, then i realized, with the rebuke, but not with doing it publicly... instead, privately.
I know people who do this with their children in their home and just shame their children, to use them as an example for the other children, but often, the disobedient ones are only needing more attention and Fatherly Love and Correction, unless they are openly rebellious.

I feel because the pastor cares, his public rebuke was perhaps necessary for others to hear it also. 💯 agree service is necessary for all the reasons he said.... HOWEVER, I didn't agree with him telling him his God given calling would be void😮

Why does social media think we had the right to Shepherd people that's under someone else's leadership he knows this person he leaves this person in worship he knows I'm better than anybody else and everybody else in there should know what he's saying is true or false probably got issues themselves I think pastors should be shepherds over their own church and social media should stay out of it if he has a bishop over him let him deal with him that's the only thing I hate about social media we too personal over stuff ain't none of our business
