This is a very impressive lego collection! My 11 yo daughter has recently gotten into Legos, and we've built about 10 sets together. It's a really nice bonding experience for us. I have one that i have yet to open (it's actually mine), but I'll definitely be asking her to help me build it.

🎸🎸🎸 PARKER THE ALBUM IS SO GOOD!!! If people are looking for new music, they should totally check it out. I have to RUN and get my driver's license (wish me luck), so I don't have time to watch Legos rn, but I wanted to congratulate you on the album, in the best way I know how: making lists. So instead of a normal ranking, I made a list of my favorite part of each song on Matter of Time this morning: Sentences: What a way to start. Immediately being blasted in the face with a bright synth, and then another one slowly bending up to meet it before a cool synth composition. The synth hook is my favorite part of this song, if I’m picking one. I also quite like “It was a slip of the tongue, it was a first-time draft.” Matter of Time: The bridge. Certainly. The rhythm of your vocals is such good contrast to the rest of the song, and I also love how you switch to the largely falsetto arrangement but then your lead vocals transition out of that back into a more compressed coordination in an uninterrupted line (i.e. it feels like the same take, even if it’s comped, and you really feel the transition.) Modern Couple: If I’m picking a single thing, I’m going to pick the cool break at around 1:44. The vocal stacks remind me of ELO, which always earns points in my book. Bound to be a Phase: I think this one will either go to the sick drum parts, which I found myself focusing on maybe too much. You write awesome drum parts. Either that, or the quiet xylophone (??? not sure.) Also I THINK I’m hearing scratching in parts of the chorus? Those are sick. Red: Is it lame if I pick the effects? In this game I made up for myself? I just really like the little touches like the delays on the vocals in the bridge, what SOUNDS like a flanger to me on SOMETHING in the choruse, the guitar tone for the solo. It’s just really really well done, I’m super impressed you did the whole thing yourself. Salt Water Taffy: This is gonna have to go to the solo in the bridge, played on what sounds to me either like a very heavily processed vocal sample or a cool synth patch. Either way the sound is sick and the solo is sick. But a quick shoutout to the pitch-bend, underwater-EQ’d sound (guitar?) at the beginning. Such a smart and fun way to play to the title and grab the listener’s attention with something distinctive immediately. Speed Dial: This is one of my favorites of your hooks; it is SO good I've had it on my phone since I first heard it months ago. But if I’m picking one thing: what a creative [I want to swear here, but want to be sensitive to this being an ASMR video] beat!! SO cool. I haven’t heard anything like it in a while. It’s super well arranged and it inspires me. Dreamer: My favorite part of Dreamer is either the funk guitar, the processing on the BGV, or the post-chorus in general. It gives it like a sort of trippy not-quite-spooky-but-getting-there vibe that I think fits the title/vibe super well. Also one of my favorites of your vocal performances. Also also one of your best choruses. So good. Hopes Up: This is one detail in a sea of details, but it’s my favorite. When I saw the title of the song, I like crossed my fingers that the hook would nod to the title, so when you slide up with the BGV on “hoOPES UP” in the second half of the hook it made me very happy. Some other shoutouts for this song include the sick riser sound on this one that I think evokes science fiction and fits super well with your artist project name. Also some sick synth sound design on this one: the lead one in the intro, the telephonesque (???) one in the second verse, etc. I realize I’m cheating with the number of times I list multiple things. If you read this far, you’re just gonna have to make peace with that. I Forgot (Blue pt. II): This is one where I think you can really feel your musicianship and talent as a multi-instrumentalist, in the sense that the various parts of the arrangements fit together super well. Listening to the way the lead synth and the drums interact with each other in the verse, it’s really smart and well done. So my one thing for this song is the arrangement. But I’ll also mention that I love the vocal stack that starts around 0:53. Super cool effects. The Climb: We all love a bombastic piano ballad with that beautiful piano tone on the lower end of the instrument. Ok bear with me here. The song is beautiful, and is maybe the one that’s grown on me most on 2nd and 3rd listens through. Some details I love (please bear with my references, I’m sorry): 1. In the second line of the chorus “longing for your love” the switch into falsetto reminds me so much of the song the Oompa Loompas sing in the 2005 movie when Veruca Salt goes down the garbage chute. It’s like a very specific vocal tone, and I think it’s so cool. I promise this is a compliment. 2. The last part on “Up” with all the vocals (and that cute synth part at the very end) - all the moving choral vocals remind me of the scene from The Grinch where all the Who’s sing, It’s maybe the most beautiful part on the album for me. It feels warm and kind and safe and beautiful. It’s awesome. I also promise I have references that aren’t children’s IP. I also recognize the vocal synth patch, but I’m blanking on what it’s from. Either way I love that too. 3. I love the almost buzzy vocals you can hear at the very quietest parts of the song (at the beginning, right after the chorus around 1:32) - they’re cool details This is gonna be the one I try to learn to play. How this Ends: Objectively one of the coolest beats on the album. I’d love to pick out individual sounds for you, but I’m kind of horrible at drums and won’t be able to tell you which sound is which. I also love the outro with the vocals further back in the mix. Great way to end the album. OK! I am excited to watch this video later. Congratulations again on the album Parker. It's so good. It's crazy impressive how talented you are as a writer, producer, arranger - everything. Everyone should check Matter of Time out if they have... time!

You're very talented, and most of my friends are also songwriters, so I know the struggle of being really really talented but also having to work SO hard just for anyone to hear the work you put years and years of time into. With that said, I've also heard a lot of music and yours is really good! You deserve to be celebrated and your work deserves to be listened to and thought about! Plus I'm SUPER nerdy about songwriting - I spent all of yesterday analyzing hooks and compiling a document about all the clever patterns and tricks in the hooks from an album I've been listening to. Listening to your album and writing about it was truly a pleasure. And I am not a great singer (I'm working on it) or a great pianist (see list item 1,) but when I get The Climb into a state where I'm not horribly embarrassed for another person to see it I'll DM it to you on instagram. Similarly, it's crazy you managed to build the Hoth speeder like that, that must've been a labor of patience and love. Respect. 3. Your Star Wars poster is so sick. Mad Max is underappreciated, and I'm so impressed you managed to make the without instructions. 5. The Hogwarts set is SO cool, and I love the way you've set it up. I love the original 3. My dad took me and my younger brother to see them at the cinema. The later 3 were good in the sense that they explained how Anakin ended up as Darth Vader, but that was it for me. I've not watched any more... that's just me. Anyway...love you guys x

Yes, the Duel of fates was an amazing cinematic experience along with the fight. I, too, say there are only six Star Wars movies. I could have given them seven if Harrison Ford hadn’t talked them into killing off Han before he saw Luke again. Such a waste of the original cast to never put them in a single scene all together again, like us oldsters had been waiting for for decades. Yes, episode two was very painful to watch. Honestly, the real problem was Lucas changing his mind and casting a child instead of a teenager as Anakin. No woman is going to become romantically attached to someone she knew as an eight year old boy, unless she was eight at the same time! I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it there. (Third Sheep here) Yeah I totally agree. Besides the Han not seeing Luke I actually like episode seven a lot! Even Hans death was great (except that he didn't see Luke) That made episode eight even worse cause with how bad episode 8 was it made me not want to watch 7 cause it just made me sad that they had set up 8 pretty well and they made probably my least favorite movie of all time! Yeah I agree about the teen thing! I was thinking about how they could have done it better and I thought they could have had him be a little older in episode one but then instead of them never seeing each other between 1 and 2 have them actually have chemistry/romantic tension at the beginning of 2 so it doesn't feel so random! Then they could have also had the angle that a romance could ruin their friendship as well. I think that alone would have made better and more interest dynamics and dialog. Ah I could talk about star wars all day!!
I agree that the prequels have a lot wrong with them, but they are still good in so many ways! I also agree that there are only 6 star wars movies, because they would never make sequels and rogue one and solo dont count (although rogue one is a masterpiece and a half)
ROTS was the best prequel movie, period. Closely follows by the empire strikes back. Phantom menace was meh, A new hope was meh and return of the Jedi was meh imo.

Bound to be a Phase: I think this one will either go to the sick drum parts, which I found myself focusing on maybe too much. You write awesome drum parts. Either that, or the quiet xylophone (??? not sure.) Also I THINK I’m hearing scratching in parts of the chorus? Those are sick.
Red: Is it lame if I pick the effects? In this game I made up for myself? I just really like the little touches like the delays on the vocals in the bridge, what SOUNDS like a flanger to me on SOMETHING in the choruse, the guitar tone for the solo. It’s just really really well done, I’m super impressed you did the whole thing yourself.
Salt Water Taffy: This is gonna have to go to the solo in the bridge, played on what sounds to me either like a very heavily processed vocal sample or a cool synth patch. Either way the sound is sick and the solo is sick. But a quick shoutout to the pitch-bend, underwater-EQ’d sound (guitar?) at the beginning. Such a smart and fun way to play to the title and grab the listener’s attention with something distinctive immediately.
Speed Dial: This is one of my favorites of your hooks; it is SO good I've had it on my phone since I first heard it months ago. But if I’m picking one thing: what a creative [I want to swear here, but want to be sensitive to this being an ASMR video] beat!! SO cool. I haven’t heard anything like it in a while. It’s super well arranged and it inspires me.
Dreamer: My favorite part of Dreamer is either the funk guitar, the processing on the BGV, or the post-chorus in general. It gives it like a sort of trippy not-quite-spooky-but-getting-there vibe that I think fits the title/vibe super well. Also one of my favorites of your vocal performances. Also also one of your best choruses. So good.
Hopes Up: This is one detail in a sea of details, but it’s my favorite. When I saw the title of the song, I like crossed my fingers that the hook would nod to the title, so when you slide up with the BGV on “hoOPES UP” in the second half of the hook it made me very happy. Some other shoutouts for this song include the sick riser sound on this one that I think evokes science fiction and fits super well with your artist project name. Also some sick synth sound design on this one: the lead one in the intro, the telephonesque (???) one in the second verse, etc. I realize I’m cheating with the number of times I list multiple things. If you read this far, you’re just gonna have to make peace with that.
I Forgot (Blue pt. II): This is one where I think you can really feel your musicianship and talent as a multi-instrumentalist, in the sense that the various parts of the arrangements fit together super well. Listening to the way the lead synth and the drums interact with each other in the verse, it’s really smart and well done. So my one thing for this song is the arrangement. But I’ll also mention that I love the vocal stack that starts around 0:53. Super cool effects.
The Climb: We all love a bombastic piano ballad with that beautiful piano tone on the lower end of the instrument. Ok bear with me here. The song is beautiful, and is maybe the one that’s grown on me most on 2nd and 3rd listens through. Some details I love (please bear with my references, I’m sorry):
1. In the second line of the chorus “longing for your love” the switch into falsetto reminds me so much of the song the Oompa Loompas sing in the 2005 movie when Veruca Salt goes down the garbage chute. It’s like a very specific vocal tone, and I think it’s so cool. I promise this is a compliment.
2. The last part on “Up” with all the vocals (and that cute synth part at the very end) - all the moving choral vocals remind me of the scene from The Grinch where all the Who’s sing, It’s maybe the most beautiful part on the album for me. It feels warm and kind and safe and beautiful. It’s awesome. I also promise I have references that aren’t children’s IP. I also recognize the vocal synth patch, but I’m blanking on what it’s from. Either way I love that too.
3. I love the almost buzzy vocals you can hear at the very quietest parts of the song (at the beginning, right after the chorus around 1:32) - they’re cool details
This is gonna be the one I try to learn to play.
How this Ends: Objectively one of the coolest beats on the album. I’d love to pick out individual sounds for you, but I’m kind of horrible at drums and won’t be able to tell you which sound is which. I also love the outro with the vocals further back in the mix. Great way to end the album.
OK! I am excited to watch this video later. Congratulations again on the album Parker. It's so good. It's crazy impressive how talented you are as a writer, producer, arranger - everything. Everyone should check Matter of Time out if they have... time!

You're very talented, and most of my friends are also songwriters, so I know the struggle of being really really talented but also having to work SO hard just for anyone to hear the work you put years and years of time into. With that said, I've also heard a lot of music and yours is really good! You deserve to be celebrated and your work deserves to be listened to and thought about! Plus I'm SUPER nerdy about songwriting - I spent all of yesterday analyzing hooks and compiling a document about all the clever patterns and tricks in the hooks from an album I've been listening to. Listening to your album and writing about it was truly a pleasure.

1. It's SO cool that you built your OWN Millenium Falcon. Like it fits so well thematically, and that sounds like so much fun. And it makes me want to buy legos immediately. IK you aren't sponsored, but they should've paid you for this video.
2. Similarly, it's crazy you managed to build the Hoth speeder like that, that must've been a labor of patience and love. Respect.
3. Your Star Wars poster is so sick. I'm in the process of decorating my room for the first time, and I won't steal your decor ideas, but I de finitely need like an episode V or VI poster now.
4. Mad Max is underappreciated, and I'm so impressed you managed to make the without instructions.
5. The Hogwarts set is SO cool, and I love the way you've set it up. I will just add to (I'm sure) the pile of people telling you that the books are great and worth the read. Personally, I think Goblet of Fire is one of the most interesting to read if you've already seen the movies, for reasons I don't wanna spoil, but they're all good!

I love the original 3. My dad took me and my younger brother to see them at the cinema. The later 3 were good in the sense that they explained how Anakin ended up as Darth Vader, but that was it for me. I've not watched any more... that's just me. Anyway...love you guys x

Yes, the Duel of fates was an amazing cinematic experience along with the fight. I, too, say there are only six Star Wars movies. I could have given them seven if Harrison Ford hadn’t talked them into killing off Han before he saw Luke again. Such a waste of the original cast to never put them in a single scene all together again, like us oldsters had been waiting for for decades. Yes, episode two was very painful to watch. Honestly, the real problem was Lucas changing his mind and casting a child instead of a teenager as Anakin. No woman is going to become romantically attached to someone she knew as an eight year old boy, unless she was eight at the same time! I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it there. Thanks for sharing! 😊
(Third Sheep here) Yeah I totally agree. Besides the Han not seeing Luke I actually like episode seven a lot! Even Hans death was great (except that he didn't see Luke) That made episode eight even worse cause with how bad episode 8 was it made me not want to watch 7 cause it just made me sad that they had set up 8 pretty well and they made probably my least favorite movie of all time! Yeah I agree about the teen thing! I was thinking about how they could have done it better and I thought they could have had him be a little older in episode one but then instead of them never seeing each other between 1 and 2 have them actually have chemistry/romantic tension at the beginning of 2 so it doesn't feel so random! Then they could have also had the angle that a romance could ruin their friendship as well. I think that alone would have made better and more interest dynamics and dialog. Ah I could talk about star wars all day!!
