HOW TO USE DAWN POWER WASH DISH SPRAY | CLEAN WITH ME 2021 | CLEANING TIPS | CLEANING HACKS 2021 | CLEANING MOTIVATION - Хобби
I use this for cleaning my Bella Pro Series Air Fryer Oven, works wonder on the grease
When using the dawn power wash I think one of the keys is to let it sit a bit. Not just a Minuit or two, Like 10 - 20 min leet the goods do the work.
I might have to try that!
@@BrianneWalter be careful of the surfaces you leave it on for!! I suggest 3-4 minutes, and never on wood or sealed wood that’s for sure lol. I’m a professional house cleaner and when I was very new, my first ever mistake was using something very similar on a laminate wood table with a yucky stuck food stain, and it pealed off the laminate 😭
Great video. Thank you! I’m late to the game. Just bought it today 😇
I never thought to use it in my bathroom especially the tub! What a great idea!!!
So many places to use this stuff! lol
Agh I saw this and it made me smile cause i just bought one and I'm so excited to try it! Thank you!!!!
Ahh! Let me know how you like it! Thanks for watching!
I love Dawn Platinum Powerwash. It's worth the extra money, but I don't use it for dishes because regular Dawn works well for those. I just did a deep clean of the bathtub and surround and found that the best product was Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach. When you spray it, it foams. I let it sit about 20 minutes and the grout was restored to white. I was so sure I'd have to regrout the tile, but this product saved me time and money.
Hi Sherry,
Thank you for your feedback!
I would be careful mixing bleach with other cleaning products / chemicals.
I’ve also now since switched to cleaning with more natural and non toxic cleaning products and they work BETTER then cleaning with chemicals ☺️
@@BrianneWalterwhat do you use bleach is too much for me
I just bought some this weekend! Can't wait to use!
Ahhh!! Enjoy it, Stacy! 😍
Here watching! I love this dawn powerwash!
Thanks for watching!! What's your favourite scent?
Here watching, such an amazing video! I can't believe it worked on that jar. Tfs
Hello Kate!! I wash shocked at what worked and what didn't! lol Thanks for being here :)
Also for ovens, use a stainless steel scrub pad (grade 0000) they are perfect for scrubbing off that grime especially on glass!
We also use it on shower glass doors with hard water stains (helps to spray a product to sit for a couple mins) stainless steel sinks, faucets, and window glass as long as it’s not tinted!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tips. I bought it for the first time over the weekend and will try it out. I got the apple scented one which I have always loved even with just the regular Dawn dish soap.
I haven’t been able to find the Apple scent!! How is it?
Be sure to rinse really really well. The detergent aspect outlives the suds!
This is such a good video idea. I've never tried the dawn power wash but now I want to try it haha
Thank you, Anna!! I thought it would be too! Thanks for watching!
I viewed this video it was very interesting. I have a tip for you when it comes to cleaning the stove and your oven with the dawn power wash cleaner. I sprayed my oven. I let it set for about 10mins. I used a sos pad with the dawn power wash to clean it and all the stains came off my oven. Try it to see if it works for you. Magic eraser are also great for cleaning they are a must have. I just started using this product and I love it I am cleaning with it every chance I get lol!😁 Happy cleaning to you!
Hi Crystal!
Thanks so much for watching! I might have to try a SOS pad! I was just worried about scratching the oven, as it's not ours! I will have to try that though - thanks for the tip!
Need to try this!
Hey Delaine!! It's amazing stuff!! :) Let me know which scent you end up going with!
I tried Dawn on my hair and it worked well.
Love it on the microwave and my Indoor grill
Thanks for watching!
Just got one from Costco today. They’re on sale for $7.99 and come with a starter kit and 2 extra refills! Can’t wait to try it!
Ahh!! What did you think?
@@BrianneWalter I LOVE it lol…finally got a crystal clear shower door
Very good price 👌
When you use any cleaner, let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, then wipe. Nothing works that fast. I would not use something like this inside a microwave. I wouldn't want odors or chemicals cooked into food. Better off with white vinegar or rinse, rinse, rinse. The product is decent but it smells awful. I still like my own dawn, peroxide and water cleaner mix. Easy, no harsh odors and disinfects. I can see you worked really hard on this. Nice of you. Thanks.
Hey hey girl!! 💜Here watching!! I actually haven’t tried this dish soap yet!!
Hello, my friend!! Thanks for being here!
I just use dawn platinum and it's incredible...
Yup me too, I use it in the power wash bottle and just add water and vinegar, works great for cleaning the bathroom
Try Barkeepers Friend instead of Comet! Also, I think the stains on your stove top are of burnt sugar, rather than oil. I use a little paring knife carefully to get any remaining stains on your stove.
I need to go pick me up some now !! 🤗
Yes!! So many amazing uses!
If you’re using it for non-dish cleaning, you definitely should be rinsing it off with a clean cloth afterwards : when the over/microwave heat up from use, or you’re going to get a chemical smell and taste in your food. Also, you’re not leaving it on nearly long enough for heavier cleaning (like the oven, etc.). If you don’t rush through those heavier cleaning jobs, Dawn PowerWash will work. I know. I’ve tried it on all sorts of non-dish cleaning.
How long you leave it on
In oven**
L I leave anything I'm using to clean the oven on about an hour.
@@adirafearsjesus7778
Great video thanks for the advice just bought this to anti fog my glass don't know of you know that guys supposed to do that also.
Hi Bryan!!
That's fantastic!! I love this product and it's multi-functional abilities!! :)
I tried extra fine steel wool and Fantastick spray...works way better!
I've been using the Dawn Powerwash for about a year now on clothes, walls, dishes, everything. One thing I found out, is that if you let it sit for a bit (at least longer than a few minutes, depending on the saturation of the stain), the stains are more than likely to come out (especially arm pit stains, c/o the hubby lol).
LOL love this!
Thanks for the video. Regarding adhesives (glue on your jars) - there are as many formulations of adhesives as they are jars out there. Some are designed to be really tough to remove. Some may require the Powerwash to sit and get under the glue - and you can probably then use a plastic knife to easily scrape off any residue that remains.
Oh, thanks for the tip! :)
And you might want to soak them in hot water with some baking soda before using power spray.
Goo gone ❤😊
Good gone works well to remove all kinds of labels.
I love this stuff and it’s great in the shower to
If I have the regular power wash can I still use the apple scent inside the other bottle?
It really works on grease, but not built in dirty Grease
I just discovered that cockroaches also hate this stuff. It kills pretty much on contact, and when it doesn't the roaches are trapped in foam, they can't escape, and they die in it.
They also apparently don't like the scent of it, because I sprayed my kitchen with it, and for the most part they aren't coming out to play.
Amazing!
@@BrianneWalter Apparently it gets in the holes in a cockroach's body that it uses to breathe and clogs them up suffocating them. Roaches can adapt to poisons and all, but they can't adapt to being choked.
@@BrianneWalter Also, I tried it on these poison ivy rashes I got a week ago since poison ivy is oil in the skin trying to get out.
It worked! I just sprayed the rashes when oil was oozing out of them everyday for a week with the Dawn Powerwash spray, let it sit for a minute, then wiped away!
Maybe try cleaning the blinds with baking soda with the dawn
Some microwave manufacturers tell you not to use harsh chemicals inside of the microwave. I have not use Dawn power wash or read the instructions. So I only use vinegar, baby soda and a small amount of Gain dishwashing liquid lemon scent inside of my microwave.
I think mixing water, vinegar and dawn 4x would work just as well.
So I actually bought some and used it on my kitchen cabinets and in my bath tub. I let it sit for a couple minutes then used a scrub brush and then rinsed. It came out amazingly. U definitely need to try the grout again but instead of a cloth use a brush.
Hello Stephanie!
Thanks so much for the tip! I will definitely try this out in one of my cleaning videos, as if it DOES work, the transformation would be INCREDIBLE! I’m so happy it worked well for you😍😍
I've heard letting it sit helps, didn't look like you let it sit at all but it still worked a little
Hi Samantha! On the bottle it doesn't recommend it to sit, so I followed the instructions, as per the bottle. However, I did let it sit on the oven :)
It's not for heavy duty built in greasy jobs
Just found your channel. Even though I’ve been using the Dawn a lot on some laundry, I was actually wondering if you can use in wood cabinets. I’m assuming you used it diluted on yours? TIA
Hi Laura!
Thanks for watching!
Always read the labels of your products and test it on a non conspicuous area, if you’re concerned. I did not use the dawn powerwash undiluted in this video 🤍
Love combining this product with the Magic Eraser. It cut down the elbow grease effort significantly. Do be careful about cleaning certain surfaces - this product has alcohol in it. I chose the free and clear Power Wash with a slight pear scent. I currently have baked on sap on my car windows. Was going to give this a try and see if it works better than the glass cleaner and cleaning vinegar.
Ohhh!! I went out looking for magic erasers the other day and couldn't find any! I will have to try using it with a magic eraser!! Did you end up getting the sap off?
@Brianne Walter. Yes, it worked well on the sap. Should be properly rinsed off though. And 2 days later, it rained pretty hard so 95% of the sap was gone. I saw some sap still in areas around the grill that I had not reached with the Dawn Powerwash. You can find Magic Eraser in Costco, Target, Walmart, probably your local grocery store. Dollar Tree now carries their own brand called Buddies. Not sure how well that works.
Add a Brillo pad or some kind of scrubber and it would get a lot more out of your oven.
Thanks for the tip!
for the top you have to leave it on to work for a few minutes
I don't understand all of the enthusiasm over this product. It couldn't get everything off of your oven door, couldn't get everything off of the oven rack, couldn't completely clean your bathroom tile grout, and didn't do well on your window blinds. It did the best job on your microwave. I get the same results from a spray bottle with Dawn and water in it. What I like best is the bottle that Powerwash comes in. It seems like it creates the foaming soap, but it sprays it with force, as opposed to the way normal foaming soap comes out of a bottle.
I never said it was going to work! I was trying 10 different ways I've seen other RUclipsrs use it! I wanted to share in my personal experience how well / not well it worked on the 10 selected surfaces! It's an amazing product, in my opinion, for cleaning up "every day" messes. The places it did not come off was in the areas that have built up for who knows how long! (We just moved into this house about 2 years ago). Lastly, I think the whole point it works so well is due to the foaming action you get from the sprayer. Therefore normal dawn dish soap and water wouldn't work as well, or easy! But, thanks for watching!
It’s essentially just a degreaser spray, which there are tons of versions of. At our company we use a degreaser called Hi-Power, and it comes with the option of a foam sprayer, or regular.
It’s the foam sprayer. That’s what makes it awesome.
CLEAN your House's 1x per week to reduce dust accumulation and folks actually wash the walls cause they carry the most bacteria collection from the bathroom to bedroom. Don't overuse DAWN only a drizzle with household cleaner in a bucket of water is required.
When using dawn power wash in your oven. Turn on your oven. Let it get nice and hot. Then turn off the oven. While the oven is hot spray on dawn power wash and let it sit in there till the oven cools off. Then wipe it out and bam that bad boy is cleaned.
Thanks for the tip! :)
Works like a charm
Would it work to get spots out of carpet?
You would want to try a small area first to make sure it doesn't ruin your carpet.
A steam cleaner (bissell powershot) blasts old grease off of oven rack like melted butter.
Ohhh!! I might need to invest in the bissell powershot! Thanks for the tip!
@@BrianneWalter yes! Look on here for a video. I got mine off of HSN a long time ago. You can use one to make a one of those 'oddly satisfying' videos. lol you can use it to clean so much and it's almost like using a power washer on concrete but for dirt and stains in Greece. They have a demo where someone's using it on BBQ grill outside. The stuff just melts off and I'm talking old grease stains. If you get one you should make a video! They're not expensive at all. Now I want to go use mine to clean my grout
@@BrianneWalter I'm so sorry it's called the Bissell Steam shot
@@eileenfuentes6975 yes! I know exactly what you’re talking about, I’ve seen them before and I have considered getting one.. to be honest, I’m not sure why I haven’t yet! LOL!
Stay tuned… 🤩🤩🤩
Its all about the glue used and the type of glass
Thank you so much for being here today & watching this video! I’d love to know: which scent is your fav of the dawn powerwash? And what’s your favourite way to use it? Let me know!
Hi My favorite is the fresh scent power wash spray. I use it to clean everything. I also love using it with magic erasers it cuts your cleaning time in half. This is a awesome product.😁
Eu gostaria de comprar este produto ckmo faço?
@@mariaregina682 I ordered mine on Amazon for a good price. I got the bottle and a refill for $8 if you can't find it locally. 😊
@@tiffany8222 entendi tudo, sou brasileira e sem tradução fica difícil
I use it for dishes, lol
You need to use a scraper on the oven door...that stuff is baked on and needs a little extra help.
I'm trying it soon hard water in tub
Ohh!! Let me know how it works!
Razor blades for the cook top 😊
Hi Erika! Thanks for the tip! I'm a little worried about scratching it with a razor blade, and it's not my stove. Have you tried this yourself?
@@BrianneWalter
Yes! Finally enough professional appliance people said go for it, that I started right out maintaining my new stove that way (cuz just couldn’t tell on my old ratty one if it was harming it at all)........ I’ve had my new one for 2 years now, and done weekly to twice weekly razor cleanings to keep the surface totally smooth, and then vinegar, dish soap, and/or once in a while baking soda to actually clean it, and it literally still looks brand new.... I cook all the time, all the time, so I also clean it all the time.
Assuming it you do it right: Brand new razor every time (can get a pack of over 50 for $6 on Amazon), and keep the razor flat at all times (don’t gouge the corner of it down your glass), you will never ever see any signs of damage from it.... people who work with them all the time, and clean houses for a living, all recommend it too, which gives some peace about it 😂😊
Amazing!! Thanks so much for this tip!! I might have to try it out!
I just use soapy water on my glass cook top. Let is sit while cleaning up the kitchen and then use a Magic Eraser and buff dry with towel. Perfect!!
Yes on the glass tops
Oil breaks down stubborn adhesive.
Is septic tank safe??
You'd want to try a small area if you're worried about damaging it.
BTY, if you would let it sit on the objects you were testing a bit longer, it would have actually had time to do its job. Takes tike, my dear. Try that to see if it works better! I think you will like the results.
Hi Sharon,
Thanks so much for watching! I followed the instructions, per the directions on the bottle. But I appreciate your input.
Dawn Powerwash is awesome - especially for vertical surfaces like shower walls. The key with any and all cleaners is patience to allow it sit on the surface long enough for the cleaning agents to do their job. The dirtier the surface the longer it must sit. Despite what any instructions that any product states - if you simply spray and wipe you are immediately removing the cleaning agents. Counterproductive =(
You said "gonna go ahead" a whole lot more than Dawn Powerwash 🤣
LOL should have named the video “gonna go ahead” 💀💀 oops
@@BrianneWalter 🤣
nice job
Burner pans on stove
Works on bees also, they will not come back
No disrespect to your video but you can get the same results with a soap water solution in a spray bottle or foam soap dispenser. And it's a good idea! Its just not worth buying pre mixed at almost triple the price. You also can use it most any surface just make sure if you need it really strong make sure to check if it needs rinsing.
What i would do actually is get 3 trigger bottles and a foam soap bottle. Make the foam soap really strong (requires rinsing) and keep it at the sink for handwashing dishes and also can wash hands with it. Then use your trigger bottles for 1 a weaker solution for light duty surface no rinse cleaning. 2 a weaker soap solution with rubbing alcohol added for disinfecting. And 3 the old dish soap and vinegar mix ...super strong!! for soap scum and grease.
For stains use any of these paired with a magic eraser or baking soda to scour, make a paste. For floors and mop water mix plain water with a tiny bit of your soap and vinegar solution.
None taken!
I thought the whole point was not having to scrub! The product is advertised as spray and rinse.
Thanks for watching!
Microwaves are not supposed to be cleaned with any soap products. Manufacturers suggest steam cleaning your microwave.
Try it on your tile floor in your kitchen as we see it in the first part of this video...the tiles needs serious help ! Grout grout grout
Is it safe for microwave?i mean you didn’t use water to wash it after all.im concerned about it😳
Not everything is shown on camera! ;)
I Believe you need to let it sit for a couple minutes
Right
You need to put some elbow grease and muscles into cleaning your over and top of your stove
I feel like you didn't let it rest for a while...15mins to 30 mins.
Hi I'm new my name is Danna
U hv to let it sit longer than u r and it will wk better.
Let it sit about 10 minutes & it will work better.
Damn 10 different uses lol
There's lots more that claim to work as well!!
Let it sit for more than a few minutes!
Let it sit for 10
