Again, beautifully explained in the most simple manner. I regret that I didn't have professors during my UG & PG.Anyways, sooner or later I am thankful, sir. Now Regarding phases of liberalism, I think UGC was correct. 22:40 1. Negative liberalism: 17th & 18th century, around the times of the Industrial Revolution, French Revolution, and American Revolution. Laissez-faire, absence of constraints, minimal state were trending. Locke, Hobbes, Thomas Paine, even later J.S. Mill & Berlin, etc. 2 Positive liberalism: 18th & 19th century when liberalism reformed itself by accepting the state's role in individual affairs and self-mastery advocated by theorists like Rousseau, Kant, Green, Laski, etc. 3.Egalitarian liberalism: 20th century, particularly Rawls' theory of justice (1971) which we can categorize as egalitarian philosophy along with Ronald Dworkin. 4.Libertarianism: Mostly believed to have started with Robert Nozick's theory of justice, (1974) which came after Rawls. Therefore, I believe, based on the above explanation, this is correct. This is my own understanding & i am still confused whether i am correct or not. I may not be correct, sir. Please respond to my comment. 🙏
