DLS just doesn't have the hogs up front to hang with a team like Mater Dei. I don't care how well-conditioned or disciplined your team is, 250 pound guards and tackles don't cut it against teams that are as big and physical as MD. They won't be dominant again until they can get some more big dogs in the trenches. Their whole system is built on controlling the line of scrimmage and they get stuffed whenever they face a team that has a big and athletic front 7. Once those Mater Dei boys started clapping heads and imposing their physicality, DLS was shook. You could just tell DLS was playing scared and I don't blame them, they were boys going up against some grown ass men.
efrainthegreat that’s because De La Salle doesn’t recruit. If difficult to compete with home grown talent and hard work as as opposed to better player in all of California on one team
Mater Dei is legit but Im not calling them the best program until they travel cross county and win. Go to Texas & play & play Allen or go to Florida & play St Thomas, Miami Central, or CC . Go to DC & play Saint Johns. Go To Georgia & play Grayson. Traveling changes the playing field.
Darryl stop lying to yourself! Mater Dei has traveled to Bishop Gorman and beat em, welcomed #1 at the time IMG and beat em, and when then lost to #1 Bosco and guess what.. Mater Dei beat Bosco on the rematch and they became #1 in the country and beat this #7 nationally ranked De La Salle team so who you want them to exactly play???
@@sandiego1936 What im saying is if you every played on a major college level you would understand how much travel factors a game...But Lets start by saying Bishop Gorman is a team out of NV. About a hour & half maybe 2 from Socal. Bishop Gorman also has 0 Major D1 players in the class of 2019. Mater Dei has 9. So they should have beat them. Gorman also lost every game on their national schedule......Mater Dei lovers act like they put the paws on IMG. They won by 4. A close game & if they played again IMG will win & if they played again after Mater Dei will win. But when you take into account that IMG took a 6 hr flight the day before a game that had a 7:30 kickoff westcoast time meaning it was really 10:30pm when the game kicked off IMG time. That's hard to do and is the exact reason why College & NFL teams don't play too many cross county games. Meaning Georgia will never fly to Cali to play USC or USC will never go down to Florida and play Florida State unless its a goal game and teams travel 3 days prior..... Or the Dolphins only play the 49ers every 4 years. So we can start with that. Mater Dei will not travel to South Florida and play those teams because its hard to do. If you ever played college football you would know how hard it is to travel on the road then play a game. Those kids are 16-18 if College, NBA & NFL teams can't go on the road and win what makes you think kids can??....USC was asked to travel to play Alabama and got beat. Alabama was asked to travel to play OU and got beat in 2014....De La Salle is not all that great. Its 50 teams that would beat them. Mater Dei & Bosco are the best teams in the nation not taking that from them but I want to see them travel. Go to Texas, Go to South Florida, go to DC. I would put my money up saying they don't win.....If we want a true national champion the top ranks schools need to forfeit state playoffs and compete in a national playoff.

Yall dickriders act like MD beat IMG by 40. It was a 4 point game. MD is easily the best team in the county or in the top 3. But I don't think they win on a cross county travel trip. Just like I don't think SJB, IMG, STA, Allen or any other school travels that far and wins. The only way to have a true national champion is to have a national playoff. BASICALLY SAYING TRAVEL MATTERS.....You want to be the best go on the road and beat the best. IMG wanted to go to Cali and play MD they lost. We can't call them the best.

I hate and can't stand Mater Dei, I feel De La Salle beat themselves way more than MD beat them, because almost every turnover DLS committed, resulted in a TD for MD, I was more pissed when MD beat St. John Bosco in the CIF title game in November, because that was Bosco's best chance to finish the season number 1 in the Nation in almost every computer poll, I get the feeling they won't have another opportunity like that ever again, at least not for a while, for now, Bosco has to settle with the 2013 team being the best Bosco team ever, not necessarily a Bosco fan, just root for MD to lose.

The PI on number 5 was a fine call because he did push with this off hand, MD had guys firing off the ball at different times and were holding on almost every play, 2 BLATANT holding calls were missed on two crucial DLS passing plays, and most importantly ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS SPIT IN AN OPPONENTS FACE AND DIDN'T GET EJECTED!!! DLS doesn't get a lot of penalties because they are discipline and play the game with respect. Even after the game Coach Alumbaugh commemorated Shakobe Garret even after his vile actions because DLS has class and it isn't just about football its about creating men not disrespectful POS that cry whenever something doesn't go their way. Where was MD the last 10 years?? That's right they sucked and they're only good now because you recruit. As soon as another powerhouse emerges in SoCal they'll funnel out and you'll suck again for another 20 years.
Yo they did so good and they honestly deserve that win
It was a good game great good job Mater Dei
They need to play allen that would be a good match
bosco already did this year
I want to see East St Louis versus a de la salle that would be awesome
Da La Salle well forever have the best dynasty in football
Lol
@@rustygriner I mean they did go on that 100 game winning streak in the movie when the game stands tall
But it's in the past but this years team was there best in years
They still have that cif section title streak going. 27 straight years. 7-6 in the state finals.
More like one of the most scary acting dynastys😂

So north and south California meet up for a finals?

@@crisreyes5216 no not always.they incorporated north vs south divisional champions maybe 7-10 years ago
yeah pretty much. divisional champions from the north and south meet up.
Yes, and EVERY state should do it the way CA does: Have the two best teams in the state (regardless of division) play in the open final. CA is one of the few (only?) states to have a true state #1.
@@BJ-if7yh no because no state is as big as California
Show me a DLS loss in the last 30 years where they didnt fumble at least 3x. That is their kryptonite
I wouldn't be surprised if mater dei plays Rutgers University and beat them lol
Thanks, I will check them out
Hey Clay Helton (USC Football Coach) can you please ask Coach Rollinson for some tips on how to recruit better football players to your program? Obviously Bruce has the secret to recruiting success...
Damn #80 is a grown grown man. ion want smoke with him
And he going to UCLA. 8 clap!!!
De La Salle has tons of Samoans n Mater Dei too
MD is the boss right now, but deep down Rollo knows Lad schooled him back in the day.
These present day Mater Dei teams are ridiculously talented. De La Salle will not be able to compete
@@averyr18 DLS could compete, but they'd have to actively start recruiting the Bay and Sac. I don't think it's that type of party for their coaching staff.
@@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 let's say they did recruit, they would have a hard time finding the same caliber talent as found in So Cal.
@@averyr18 Nah. Norcal has some major talent. For example...Raleek Brown. I think Mater Dei would still have the advantage in depth, however. I think first string DLS would be fine but there would be a big dropoff after that.
@@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 it's not even close from a talent perspective.
So Cal clearly has better athletes.

LOVE THE SCOREBOARD
I was hoping for a good game til I saw the DLS fans with their pompous hoodies declaring their "Conquest Of California" then I was like go Mater Dei blow them out!
This was one thing that Coach Lad didn't go for. Seeing DLS do hakas and TD celebrations these days is surreal.
Whers the SJMH & Tular game??
Does Harper have any offers yet
I think Arizona, ASU, CAL and Boston College showing interest. He is something special. I think colleges are sleeping on him..
De La Salle wish list:
1. Need athletes!
2. Due away that " veer" shit!
3. Schedule MD , SJB and Cen10 reg season.
4. Highly recruit....maybe?
ngl i go there and your right. class of 22 athletes are really good especially if you put us all in the spread. The veer only limits two good athletes (possibly 3) to have the ball only
Why they championship games be at random places instead of the local biggest college field to play at ?
Not enough fans only 5,000 showed up here
Mater Dei players should be looking at Fresno State. Best college football team in Cali same colors.
Unstoppable 💯💯
Number 19 coming up on people
No Elias Rick?
Same
Held out for disciplinary reasons. Something about social media after beating SJB.
In all honesty, I like these videos, but you need to use the eider angle more. You cant tell half of whats happening in the highlights.. was it a TFL or a gain, cant tell. Use the field angles less. Just my opinion but it would improve the viewing experience
9:10 Assist to the ref on that TD.
Why did they put mater dei vs st John bosco I thought they were the top. Two teams
Monte' Mason because it’s Norcals best team vs Socal best team. De la Salle best in north and Mater dei was best in the south.
Why do they have 1st MarDiv as a patch??
Why isnt this played in a legit stadium?
Doesn't attack the big crowds only 5,000 people here..
Simply the best football players MONEY can buy,,, in private schools
Del Mar High School ( San Jose CA ) is slowly on the map.
Del Mar is NOT ready for a Mater Dei or a De La Salle are you kidding me?? 6-5 last year buddy..
they not even ranked
Who’s #80? And #12
Damn that’s crazy
Must be nice to recruit
Am I missing something here? This is a big championship game and there aren't many fans.
Yup not sure why.. Maybe people getting tired of Mater Dei.. lol Bosco usually brings in the BIG crowds since they right down the street from here.
Cool! I live in south western Ohio and high school football always draws big crowds. Especially playoff games. Ohio is a HS football state but recently we dont quite have the football teams like California has.Crazy talent out there man. Dang. Our division 1 champion from up north, Lakewood St.Edward or our division 2 school champion Archbishop Hoban from Akron who has won 3 years in a row might be able to compete with the Cali teams but I doubt it.
@@generationofbmx But they are good! I was on the trip when Bosco went up to Ohio and beat St. Xavier 34-0 in cincy in 2016.. My family are from Dayton so i made the trip! lol The only school i really follow is St. Ignatius, Mentor, Edwards and Trotwood-Madison which i think they are the top school in Ohio IMO.. Pickerington Central looks good to!
looks good to..
Yeah, don't forget Colerain and Moeller. I just found this. Kurt Herbstreit put on a Ohio vs USA H.S football event back in the early 2000's and I dont think we did too bad. Looks like Colerain did the best. You can click this link and scroll down a few post to see the scores for each year. Ohio didnt do too bad. Colerain lost to Pickerington in the playoffs last year but beat them this year in the Semis before losing at state to St.Edwards. Also, Archbishop Hoban from Akron who is division 2 has won state 3 years in a row and beat Ignatius during the season. They are dope. Cool man. Good to see you got ties here in the Dayton area. The Jenks Trojans from Jenks Oklahoma. Once a 3A team back in the late 80's. And now they are a 6A power house nationwide. Mater Dei is a great team! One of the nations best for the past 10 years plus!! And Jenks is another! I would so love to see this matchup!!!!

And we're here.
Why doesn't Duncanville wanna come play Mater Dei?
The Monarchs are the #1 team.
Mater Dei 45, Duncanville 3
They did and y’all lost
@@darrylpadgett9066 lol ok name some school you would like Mater Dei to go kick ass since they ALREADY beat the best across the nation.. Go ahead.. lol I'm not a Mater Dei fan but lets be real with this travel shit! Nobody is going to beat them no matter where they're are! You think if this De La Salle game was in northern calif there would be a difference? Obviously you don't know much and Mater Dei has just PROVEN to YOU and the REST of the dummies they are the best. Corona Centennial, IMG, Bosco, De La Salle and going through the toughest league (trinity League) in the nation !! What you going to say oh lets see Mater Dei vs Allen in Texas right?? Nobody cares about USC and Alabama this is not the talk here.. LMAOOOO Not going to respond after this because i'm wasting my time..
@@sandiego1936 Didn't I just say De La Salle isnt all that great.....& I named the teams in the first comment. Im not going back & forth with people who never played college ball. Go day sir
@I Hallucinate Never said that nor did I take anything away from MD. For the stupid people in back I said if they traveled for a game across the county I wouldn't put my money on them to win.

Right there’s literally no one there
Because they need to move the game back to southern cslifornia
christopher Burks MD still got more people and it was played in DLS territory damn
That red team look like they got away with lots of holding and pass interface
