The original is so incredibly stunning, and reaches deep down into your very soul with its perfectly harmonious vibe, production and lyrical excellence, quite a sound! So it's difficult to ever imagine enjoying another version....the Nu Yorican take was just fine, but it's a revelation and a privilege to hear this version! You can feel the heart and love of all contributing singers and players! One love! Solidarity!
Right on!
This is the best live cover I've heard from this song
Omg how am I just now finding this!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤🎉 amazing instruments percussion vocals. Amazing cover!!!!

Love it! The Latin Jazz flavor suits this masterpiece very well!
One of my top 20 favorite songs of all time.
Oh my god you folks have made a huge favor to the humanity , unfortunately this epic piece is not famous
I enjoyed this contemporary arrangement of a psychedelic masterpiece.
A great version of a classic. Thanks
Everyone played their part extremely well! I just discovered this song recently from Rotary Connection while listening to Minnie Riperton and fell in love with the song. I got the jitters listening to this version. Love it!! Will look into more of their covers!! Peace and love!
Everyone’s enjoying it, it’s a win win
verrrry nice. it's so refreshing to hear good music by musicians/artists who obviously honor their craft and gift to touch folks with their special sound. Their voices are angelic, truly touching the heart.
Jheeeze!!! Luv to my bruv in Sevilla for sending me this!
Amazing music not formulated crap like half the charts a true work of modern art
As soon as I heard that Bassline I knew it was Poppin'. I listened and felt this version of Minnie Ripterton's former band performance of this song, very good live remake.
W O W !!!!!!! Tough track to cover but THAT was wonderful !!
Black gold of the sun is such a beautiful song...it's means so much to so many...it's interpretations must be well thought out ..this version is wonderful
Its a message of love and unity in a often white washed world!
1.35 I really enjoyed that cover version. It made me want to two step salsa style!❤
Love it, especially the sax solo!
Superb..... Great things happen when talent comes together, I enjoyed this very much.
Tough cookie to crack, great job, I love when musicians can look back, seems a rare thing these days, there's gold in them hills if 'progression' will allow it, thanks for posting
ps funny how negative or rude comments generally carry no avatar or contribution
"KEWL!" Love the vocals and intro. Edgy, bluesy, and jazzy! "WOW!" Thanks!

goes to show why a million different renditions invoke the same involuntary hair raising reaction as the original! no one messes with it too much and its too precious to bastardised!
Very nice cover, the group has an Incognito sound gonna have to keep an eye on them.

Probably my top tune of all time.....didnt really dig the Bosa Nova beats for this, but other than that a real nice interpretation. Beautiful vocals x 🖤
Same great tune, and you can dance to it? What's not to like?
Zoot on sax.
Needs more Minnie….but still very cool cover!
No es igual al cover pero este le mete batería brasilera como Bosa Nova

Great attempt, love it:-)....vocals started of ok, but was a bit dodgy in the middle...looked like it was a competition goin on! hehee...but nevertheless good job
Here's your free analysis. The piano guy plays the main riff too much, it's not strong enough for that and a little too "peculiar". Mix it up a little bit. Speaking of, the mixing could probably be improved a bit too (I realize it's a live performance). Otherwise: Very groovy, beautiful stuff.
Sorry, but it doesn't convince me. I really miss the rock flavour underlying the original version.
Lovely. Bit of a shame the iconic piano riff has been simplified and sacrificed on the alter of bossa though...
Nice rendition, The percussions at the beginning are excellent.. .(Respectfully ) The performance doesn't have any soul due to the absence of not be able to hear the Kick drum..The sax player was excellent ..I have a great deal of respect, and admiration for the production of this song that is a golden classic, but I just couldn't get into the Latin flavor of this song...
played it to fast
missed the point
still giving you an up vote
Yeah , I like this too but I jam. Wasn't gonna say owt but you triggered.
to fast
the vocalist are singing too much with their nostrils and their throat...Their lungs and diaphragm are not strong enough.
Backup singers are flat
too much reverb on everything, song and performance very good
You all missing the point of this song. It should be played slow, it's a song to calm you down and take you to some peaceful place
