Only thing I'd change bout a character I have strong feelings for being teen gohan, I'd actually scream if they made his down special, the masendan beat superdash, I've had it so many times where I lost the game because I couldn't react enough with kicks in the air to catch superdash after tryin to lay down a bombing run of masendans, would that be too broken?
id say at top level thatd be way too much lol. at lower or mid levels i can see why thatd make him easier to play but he already has some of the best grounded neutral, a dp, high damage, potent mixups, awesome blockstrings... improving his neutral even more would be way too much. in terms of balancing for the higher level players id say ur just gonna have to be more careful with the masendans even though i def understand theyre a kinda crap move for anything except combos
not entirely true. his dp doesnt hit certain small characters crouching after a vanish which is a somewhat niche scenario so i dont think its a huge problem, but fixing that as a qol change isnt a bad thing either. i tried to keep this to things the character absolutely needs the other thing is that coolers L divekick is both faster than trunks' L sword slash and jails into vanish which makes it plus, both of which are attributes that force it to be balanced by being anti airable. you can also just use the move with an assist to both make it harder to see and impossible to 2H
Cooler medium and heavy dive kicks are already plus on block but that shit is so reactable and punishable, plus if you miss time your mash you will get outmashed plus you dont get anything off of it except a super so his 236h instead of drop kicking again he will do some sort of other animation where he launches opponent for super dash follow up. His 236H and 214L instead of jumping should make him vanish into air and then go down to make it less reactable as well trick people into thinking its vanish, give him more plus frames. 3h recovery is obnoxious, requires sd as a follow up and doesnt go full screen, also gets punished by 5h or get hit with a fucking 2m, give it a super armor and let you jump for a follow up maybe let it go faster + full screen. His frame data on normals is ass. 236s is a slow as fuck beam, 5s and doesnt go full screen, has obnoxious recovery as well j5s. Give him 2s that is an eye beam with same angle like ui goku 2s, it beats super dash after hitting opponent with it they will fall instantly and cooler quickly dashes above them firing a beam that gives skd. His lvl 3 should beat grabs and projectiles because it costs 3 bars and it isnt guranteed to hit yet jiren does same thing for free and it beats anything (ik u can vanish but still) also his lvl 3 is vanisheable if its hit with a projectile or assist, shouldnt be a thing

Cooler needs 236L being impossible to 2H him, I mean, why Trunks can have a 236L with no fear and not Cooler, btw his DP dont hit small characters.
