No you can literally say it’s normally always chemistry. Think of how many teams have underperformed after creating a “super team” in the offseason. Most of the time they underperform.
I still believe to this day that the exchange was much more heated than what Billy O is saying here. Tom was frustrated at Tiquan Underwood for not catching the ball which resulted in a turnover. It was a very close game but the ineptitude of the Redskins and Rex Grossman is what allowed the Pats to win. I still remember thinking “Billy O better STFU or he won’t have a job next year.” Billy O resigned from the Pats right before the post season started and Josh McDaniels returned as OC for the Pats. This wasn’t a BS argument whatsoever.
Resigned is an interesting way of putting it. He got a Head Coaching gig so it's not like he was pushed out. These guys in the Parcells/Belichick coaching tree get into it with players all the time. The players are taught to have thick skin. I think they moved on the next day from this and were fine.
I was at that game. Deion wasn't hurt! And the offense was clicking. Gronk had the greatest game of his career that day. Defense couldn't stop Rex Grossman to save their lives, and that would be touchdown to Tiquan would've sealed it! Almost lost because of that turnover.

Bill OBrien may be the most unluckiest coach of all time. The Patriots won 6 SB’s in an 18 year span between ‘01-‘18 and somehow he managed to not win a single one, being on both the teams that lost to the Giants in the SB in ‘07 and ‘11. Then Saban goes and wins 6 at Alabama during his tenure over a solid 15 years, I know he wasn’t there long but he never managed to win one there either. For both organizations right after he leaves they end up finally reaching the mountain top again lmao Add in he was the first HC for Penn State after Joe Paterno gets fired and having to deal with all of that and also being arguably a Top 3 worst GM’s in NFL history when he did that for about 2 years with the Texans, trading away Hopkins who at the time was a top 2-3 receiver in the league for essentially nothing because as he admitted they butted heads often in the locker room. Now the Texans are a solid team better than they ever were under OBrien. I don’t hate the guy by any means and he was actually a very good coach for Houston his first 4-5 years and he still is a solid OC but again, this guy is hella unlucky lol
