I really love this trailer music because it conveys hope and with how Sonic The Hedgehog 2 used it, it made it sound like Sonic is the only one that stands in the way of Eggman/Robotnik. He went toe to toe with Knuckles and how he's always trying to keep Tails from getting hurt. He's still a kid too and he has the world's fate in his hands
The stakes of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 were far higher than the first one and this was the first time Sonic was up against a threat he couldn’t stop on his own.
