    Gdy miałeś już wyjęty alternator, warto zobaczyć w jakim stanie są szczotki alternatora oraz pierścienie ślizgowe na wirniku. 15 lat eksploatacji mocno daje się we znaki osprzętowi silnika.
    Jak zwykle merytorycznie przygotowany film. Dziękuję za twoją pracę.

    Very interesting to see the pulley disassembled, I always assumed they used a one way sprag bearing instead of the preloaded springs. 🇦🇺

    The cylindrical parts that you remove from the alternator are called centering sleeves and Volvo uses these to ensure the correct mounting position of the alternator, if the alternator is not mounted in exactly the correct position, the bearing in the alternator free wheel will be subjected to excessive force due to the axial misalignment and its life will be much shorter than it should be and it will break down.

      I just did this job on my Volvo V50 T5 AwD and the alternator gets centered by just using the bolts. Way easier to work on that.

    8:58. On that little hose, it’s the plastic fitting goes into the block that cracks before the hose goes bad. Mine was shot after 80,000 miles.
    Thanks for pointing out to others.
    I also replaced my lower hose when the AC compressor was off while doing the Serp belt. much easier access then

    Actually very interesting to see inside the flywheel. I also had the alternator flywheel (INA branded from the dealership like you) replaced shortly before 130 000 kms on the D5. The alternator belt was disintegrating & squeaked in winter (that's what caught my attention thankfully) so I went ahead and changed everything).
    But these B6304 & B6324 are more work intensive, for sure! Great DIY!

    Great video! looks like T6 manifold is very easy to take out. Unfortunately for 3.2 the manifold and throttle body are one single piece. I checked many videos all had to unplug all the connectors to the throttle body and manifold then carefully take out. At the same time the fuel pressure sensor was also in the way so taking out and putting back the manifold was tedious for me. I checked my engine again it seems there is some room to change the thermostat without taking the manifold out. I will use this video for my future reference. Thanks again.

    Love these videos has helped me in my journey in my 2008 Volvo V70 with 130,000 miles. However unfortunately the READ drive is starting to go, I have been quoted $3,000-4,000. So have decided to not repair and drive the car as is till it dies.

      @@volvosweden Thank you for your reply. Do you know if it is possible to diagnose the alternator pulley without taking it off? My alternator comes to a dead stop right away when turning off the car. A good pulley and alternator would spinn a few seconds no?
      Btw, used your video on replacing power steering fluid yesterday! Thanks🙌

    Just so some may be aware as I found out, to remove the Pulley from my 2008 XC70 3.2 same part number Alternator as yours you will need the Alternator Decoupler Pulley Socket - CTA 8088 which has a 12 point end, not the 1072. Not really sure why it’s like this.

      Off camera. What I did forget is to reconnect the throttle hose and connector. But realized once engine started and started shaking:(. Reattached and all went smooth.

    Question: I replaced my thermostat, but engine fan keeps running once car is shut off? Could this be the coolant sensor or something else?

      @njstudio_com3927 Thermostat has nothing to do with thermostat. You have to read diagnostic trouble codes. Could be the fan module on the fan assembly.
