That beginning and ending breakdown sounded the same on both audios. Now, post live show doing those kind of adjustments could be on how much more clear you can hear the band rather than the crowd, but other than that, they sound identical IMO

There is no inspiration from Slipknot. This is completely original. Their previous album Misery Sermon proved there is no inspiration from Slipknot. Alex and this band do their own thing
@@Limo_wreck if you think any band is not influenced by other bands then you know nothing about music. Literally everything is, to some extent, derivative of artists who came before. This absolutely sounds like slipknot.
The energy output, Alex is infectious I will lose my mind when I see them live! Him jumping all over after that first breakdown is what is called a tone setter for a live show.

I've seen a lot of my favourite bands live before: Parkway, August Burns Red, Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, and others not in the metalcore / deathcore scene.
Slaughter to Prevail is fast becoming one of the bands I most want to see live next

I prefer this over the album version... whoever mixed & mastered this live show deserves a round of applause 👏 nothing against the album version or anything but this just hits waaaaayyyy harder. Hell, for all I know it was done by the same person.
I'll honestly say the breakdowns sound a lot better live than the studio version. Sure the studio version is great. But it seems like it's almost always the live version that makes it better than the studio recorded version.
