I know you saw the same issue with an A0 Iovar but maybe its applying an additional boost even at A0. Yet another example of things not working like they should and/or poorly worded/inaccurate in-game info smdh.
Yeah, the soldiers get the stat bonus (NOT talking about bp but actual stats like atk and hp) from the lords. I don't find it that weird, I didn't know it was a big secret, I just didn't realize it wasn't reflected in the BP numbers that the demon soldiers display after affiliation.
I have thought quick affiliates to not work properly ever. First it ignored some heroes, then after the "fix" i noticed different performances. Couldnt put my finger on it, but i felt odd and off
The issue is we don't know how much 'BP worth' is the lord bonus. We can not effectively decide between normal higher BP and lord lower BP unless you test every single one of those situations Worst is this really lord related, or are there other factors? Will a give the same bonus to all units type? We are in the complete darkness
This is awesome to have confirmed! In the new map rare archers can attack a platform 1 time before they switch to a ground tank. This could be the difference in them 1 shotting the platform or completely failing the run.

I haven't calc'd it but the way I understand it is that lords have a BP bonus (about +3.5% at base and per awakening level up to 10% max at A2) AND give a stat buff to the soldiers similar to how they buff themelves and other units partnered with them..

Have you tested the first slot vs other slots? Maybe it is applying a lord bonus like in other game modes to certain faction heros.
