I think part of the overreaction with Dolphins is just because people thought they were so safe and friendly, that learning they can actually be very dangerous was pretty shocking. Its similar to why so many trashy videos in the 2010s used cartoonish visuals or knockoff cartoon characters in violent situations to farm extra shock value.
Tarantulas tend to rely more on the power of their bite and size of their fangs to kill prey rather than a super potent venom. They're absolute menaces to creatures closer to their size, but are effectively harmless to humans.

Not sure about _that_ either, but 17:48 If you like cows, well you'd like hyenas "happy" vocalizations (everyone thinks that hyenas laughing is a sound of happiness but ironically, it's actually the _REVERSE_ : they only make that sound when angered, afraid, or just excited and agitated, such as when you dangle food in front of them but they can't reach it because of the fencing... it's more like nervous or neurotic laughter than genuine joy)... which sounds like cows bellowing. I even lined up some links to provide evidence.

Can confirm rats make great pets. You can even teach them tricks. Boys get super chill and cuddly when they grow up and girls typically stay playful. You can even take them in the shower with you to make sure they're bathed and fresh.
Biggest drawback is the life span since they typically last only 4-5 years. 6-7 at most. Never use cedar bedding since that's one of the biggest causes of cancerous tumors.
They can get along with cats in the right environment and will typically grab and nip cat tails that get near the cage as a sort of defense mechanism. I wouldn't leave them alone together unless they are good friends, but they can snuggle together supervised.
There are documentaries about how they love to get tickled and laugh/giggle at a pitch humans typically can't hear.

On the subject of lesser-known animal facts, I learned this about rats while working pest control:
Sometimes, you'll find a glue-board with just a paw and some fur stuck to it. We used to tell our customers "yeah, the rat will chew his own leg off to escape."
That... Is not what was happening. Turns out the reason there's a leg stuck to the board is because that's all that was left after the other rats _ate them_ .

Sufficiently intelligent animals are like young human children when it comes to morality what they enjoy is good, what they do not is bad, and they lack the context, or even capability to understand and empathize with other creatures for example, to orcas batting a seal back-and-forth like a beach ball until it literally falls apart is contextually no different than a toddler below a certain age,, pulling the legs off of a cockroach and then getting upset when it stops moving. They are doing something they find enjoyable and are in capable of forming the empathy that would be required for them to put themselves in the shoes of the animal they are hurting. Essentially, they operate under orange and blue morality. The difference is most animals never escape, orange and blue morality, where a human children eventually grow up to be able to form black and white morality as we call it.

    - They are more cat than dog (They are part of the same group as cats, the Feliniform or cat like carnivores although probably the most distant in the group
    - They help keep carrion in check so less diseases
    - They help raise each others young
    - They are a instance of Female dominance in Carnivores , Female Hyenas get bigger than the males, they also tend to be more aggressive , they are also way more social than the males and in a animal that relies on its clan its prob the biggest reason why females dominate the males

Spiders should have been number one. Not only are the vast majority of them harmless to: humans, pets, our stuff, and plants, but they are actually a benefit to have around. Your house would be overrun within hours if they went away. Also, they are by far the least terrifying type of arachnid compared to mites, tics, scorpions, and other just mean invertebrates.
Most of you reading this comment won't see a spider all day, but are probably being watched by one right now. Which goes to show you just how polite these tiny predators are.

A few rammed it and sent me half way in the water as I was holding on to the wood 1 ram me hard and almost a bit I pulled out the water then crawl as fast I could and then run so far from the water I drop on the road and thank my luck stars I was not fish food. Found out later that most of the fish took shelter under the floating dock at my buddies place I told him I'm not going on the dock even if you fixed the issue plus pay me with a blank check I'm done with the murky ocean.

9:15 Same reason why I hate it when people after for instance a tiger attack are going insane and scream "tHe TiGeR wEnT cRaZy!!"... Noooo.. the tiger went tiger. An animal rarely attacks without reason, and if you've managed to get certain animals to attack you then that's on you. Not the animal, you. Another example: shark attacks on divers. Sharks practically never attack unprovoked (a few records of it, but I think it's called "unprovoked" simply because we did not discover the real reason in those incidents). Usually they're either curious (exploratory bite as their mouth is basically the only thing they can use for testing), or feel threatened. In case of feeling threatened, the shark surely has displayed several signs that tell you to back off (snout up and curved back e.g.).
Also, oddly enough there are no records (to my knowledge) of a wild orca attacking humans. They go after boats (forgot why, but there is a reason), but if you're in the water they won't harm you (on purpose) physically.
Worst part about sharks being killed for their fins... the fins literally have no value to it other than a fancy name "shark fin soup". It's basically just a slab of cartilage and you might as well put your own ears in some hot water.

omg yesss I'm so happy to see this video~
Nothing gets me as excited as hyenas and sharks. We used to have some hyenas at the zoo that we'd go visit almost weekly. They were so cute, just running around the field playing!
Then we got a new Aquarium when I was like 10 and one of it's big thinks was a shark tank you can pet the sharks in. This was when it like only started taking off, so everyone was nervous, but I just sat there for 4 hours until closing time petting all the cute sharks~
