In Mexico, tens of thousands rallied to denounce violence against women - as well as sexism, inequality and discrimination.

A 2011 National Survey in Mexico found that around 13.4% of men had experienced intimate partner violence in the past year. This suggests one in seven men have been victims of domestic violence.

Women don't start wars ☮️ - Men do 🪖
But they vote for people who do, and are exempt from the consequences. Ukrainian and Russian men are not allowed to leave the country, they have their bank accounts frozen, and they are drafted against their will, and forced to fight a war, while the women are free to leave. Those men didn't start a war. 0.00001% of men start wars. And plenty of queens throughout history waged war, and only sent men to die in it. Gender equality.

And in doing so they displayed violence. I’m in Guadalajara, Mexico, and they caused property damage by violently smashing businesses’ windows and painting graffiti everywhere. What a way to protest violence!
Some women did that in our countries. But they majority of women rallying didn´t engage in violence as it was not necessary.
Yesterday police and the navy were deployed to shoot tear gas and punch women and children protesting in several cities in Mexico. The oppresed must adopt the language of the oppresor. We've been (and continue to) peacefully protesting for years and we've ignored, nothing changes. And how are you gonna tell the parents of a missing 14 year old girl that they shouldn't graffiti? When they're burning with rage and they have no justice? Is property more important than a human life to you?
