I love Fiesole, although it is not unknown to Italians, historians, academics, or authors, as it predates Florence by about a thousand years. And one caveat when catching the number 7 bus, ALWAYS validate you ticket, and always watch for pickpockets clocking the tourists. I've seen so many people shocked by having their pocketbooks and wallets disappear, and seen tourists with unvalidated tickets in their hands being fined (and/or arrested!) by perfectly multilingual transit inspectors. Claiming ignorance of the law and language is never an excuse.

Beautiful! ...but it looks very cold there in March?
Hello 👋 yes, in Florence can be quite cold during winter and also March can be cold compared to average temperatures in Tuscany. When are you planning to go?
@@ItalybyItalians - Not until May 2024. So it should be warmer then, no?
Isn't Dante's home (a very humble stone abode in a side street) in Florence? I think I visited in 1976.
Thank You for this video! Headed to Florence soon. Staying at hotel grand Minerva. Is that where you are standing at the beginning of this video? Gratzie
Hi, thank you! At the beginning of the video I was in front of Santa Maria Novella Church 😉
Have a great trip! How long will you be staying?
Birthplace of the Renaissance and more. Florence is very important.
Thakyou!!!
Thanks a lot for this Giulia! I will soon be visiting Florence and will surely look into your recommendations. As a historian, I am also very interested in the Medici Family and will surely visit Palazzo Medici and 'Villa Medicea di Careggi' where Lorenzo de Medici was born and also had died. Best regards from Malta!
Well Christopher, we have a passion in common: history 😉
Hi, Christopher. Then you HAVE to visit the Palazzo Vecchio! It‘s really stunning and full of the family history. I recommend to you the Medici chapel in San Lorenzo as well. Have fun, it‘s a fantastic place full of history and art.

Appreciate the detailed breakdown! 🧐 Just a small off-topic question: 😅 I only have these words 🤔. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Not sure how to use them, would appreciate help. 🙏
Favorite corner fo Florence? Gelateria Vivoli, which I visit every day that it's open when I visit Florence. After Vivoli, it's a coin toss between San Marco and San Miniato.
Hi, could you please cover St Anthony's feast day in Padua
Thank you!
I loved the video. Also I have that same exact hat! It’s nice to meet a fellow Slytherin 🐍🐍🐍
Yes, hello fellow Slytherin! 💚💚💚
Thank you for info
You're welcome!
Can you tell me the name of the restaurant that she purchased the lampredotto please? It looks delicious.
That was in a food stall at the Saint Ambrogio food market 😋

Nice hi from lreland 😊
Hi Victoria, kisses from Italy 💋💋
Thank you! I'm adding Cappelle Medicee to my itinerary but where to buy online ticket? The "official" website listed on google maps failed to load....
Hi! Sorry about that - you can buy the tickets here: www.getyourguide.it/cappelle-medicee-l5147/firenze-biglietto-d-ingresso-per-le-cappelle-medicee-t61210/?partner_id=2G5RE0Q&
@@ItalybyItalians Hi Gulia, many thanks for the link. Sorry to trouble you, the link is to a 3rd party tour guide selling the Cappelle Medicee ticket at 14.5 euros whereas I understand the official ticket price is 9 euros. Is there anywhere I can buy the original ticket price direct from Cappelle Medicee?
@@aphraelk6214 Hi, whoops, I often use that site because it has free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The official link should be this one: www.ticketsflorence.com/en/museums-tickets-florence-uffizi-accademia/medici-chapels-florence-tickets
@@ItalybyItalians Many thanks for your help! I'll re-think this as this website charges a pre-reservation fee, online booking fee and voucher issue refund fee that makes it more expensive than the 1st website 😅
Lampredotto was amazing. I still have fond daydreams about that sandwich
Hahahahahaha so you agree with Florentines then!
What street is that in Oltrarno?
we are going to florence on 5/7. thank you for the video. let's meet then?
What time of year is this.. it looks crowded
@@bettyz92 actually Florence can be a lot more crowded in the summer! Here it was March
Ti dovrebbe assumere l'Ente del Turismo Italiano, complimenti davvero!!
Magari 🤣🤣😁 Grazie mille!
jULIA, speak english very well. have a particular pronunciation from british english, no american, really nice. Un saludo desde Argentina. Espero estar pronto x alli
Giulia, sorry
Thank you very much for your compliment! Besos desde Italia
Ypi also forgot a great eating place in Oltrano right near the Santa Trinita bridge Olio e Convivium.
Thanks Marguerite! ❤️
How i can go to Crete Senesi from Florence? (I don’t have a car)
