I realized that it’s normal to feel that not everything you want in life will happen immediately. Maybe it’s not meant for me, maybe not now, or maybe something better is yet to come. There is an intermittent struggle but it’s life.

I've went through this period for over a year without even knowing. I realized it when I couldn't remember anything from that year. I couldn't remember where and who I was with on New Years eve or Christmas. I couldn't remember where I went on holiday that year, what projects I've worked on and for which customers. I had to get a timeline back going through messages with friends, pictures and invoices send to customers. I never got that scared so far in my life, when I came to that realization! In that period I was focusing only on work, and was pretty successful in every way possible...but never fulfilled or happy. I canceled meetings with friends... for work. Got home late... for work. Avoided my family... for work. I was hard for myself and couldn't feel any emotions. Hey it's normal! Success comes with hard work, right?! Due to personal circumstances I've made a switch to let myself open again, feel emotions and be open to share the good and bad with friends and share my emotions with them.
