Very much like my intuos pro L. This is good for a large monitor setup which I use my intuos for a 34 inch monitor. Great expanse of canvas compared with the iPad and Cintiq 16. Rediscovered your channel again and great reviews as always!

Hey Paul. Thanks for the comment. Yeah, feels a lot like that Intous 4 L.
I agree there... I'd rather have the bigger monitor and a large screenless tablet, considering the price tag on pen displays in that size range, haha. Though I am curious to see what it would be like to work on one of the biggest Cintiqs set up in similar way to a traditional canvas and easel where I can stand and move around more while painting.

I should probably get this to replace my Wacom intuos 4 large, I hate that wacom stopped driver support for it 2 years ago

Yeah, really is unfortunate that they've stopped supporting those. Has yours stopped working, or any specific need to replace yet?

Nice work! This tablet is pretty big but id figure they should have had at least 2 more buttons for shortcut keys for this size.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I agree. For the size, it could definitely use some additional options for customisation. Compared with my Intuos 4 Large, I'd probably prefer that because if the touch ring AND that they give an on-screen radial menu.
Huion does have the Inspiroy Dial 2 that brings it a little closer to my preference without the separate controller.

Hey! Nice video! Have you experienced any weird behavior when pressing really light? I just bought it to replace my intuos 4 large and everything looks pretty nice except for the fact that whenever I am pressing really light, it doesn’t register properly and some lines gets cut. Any thoughts?

I have uploaded a video of that too if you want to check out.

Hey. Thanks for the comment. I didn't experience any issue like this while I was using it. Both wired and wireless seemed to deliver equally good performance without any noticeable lag or gaps in my lines, so it's a bummer to see that you are experiencing this. I'm not sure what might be causing it, perhaps some bluetooth interference if you're using it wirelessly?
Have you reached out to Huion to ask?

How is the latency? I mean some tablets use a lot of hardware filtering, smoothing etc. Can you say anything about that? And also the hover distance - is it adjustable and consistent? I'm particularly looking for a pen tablet for gaming, and I'm not really impressed by the Wacom I've tried so far when it comes to hover distance. I've heard a lot of bad things about Huion and latency because of lots of hw filtering instead of adjusting that yourself from software (opentabletdriver for example).

Latency on both the newer Huion and Wacom devices has never been a problem to my eyes. Both are pretty responsive. Report rate on the Giano is 300PPS whereas the Intuos Pro (slightly older) is 200PPS which is generally standard. Difficult to really comment here because gaming and that sort of rapid movement is the last thing I'd be testing out here XD.
Hover distance is not adjustable in the standard driver application, but that's the case with most brands own drivers.

How does it perform compare to Wacom Intuous 2018 Medium ? I am considering buying either this or Wacom Intous. (anything other than obvious side difference)

Hi there. Good question. So I haven't tested the Intuos Medium so it's difficult for me to give a proper comparison.
I will ty to get my hands on one of those Intuos models in a couple of months because it would probably be good to have that on the list here for baseline comparisons.
One thing to keep in mind is the space on the desk. The Giano is bigger, so I'd recommend actually mapping out on your desk with tap or paper cut-and-stuck together to match the tablet size so that you can properly feel it out. The Intuos might be easier to have to the side of your keyboard/laptop in place of your mouse whereas the Giano is a bit too big for that layout in my opinion. But mapping out on your desk based on your configuration of things will help figure that out.
Going from the Intuos Pro Medium (2013) though, that offers a bit more customizability than you get from the Giano if you prefer using the express keys on the tablet. Like I think I mentioned in the video, a separate controller to the side with the Giano is worth considering. In terms of the pen and drawing feel, both feel great to me.

I do have limited space in my desk. So I might go for Wacom Intuos instead. Only thing stopping me is it was released in 2018, which is already 5 years old. So kind of a old technology thing.
what do you think, is it old already in 2023 or is it still very great tablet.
Huion also cost half the price wacom cost.
And thanks for getting back. @@EyekooDrawsStuff

Not sure why you nor the wesite itself mentions this, but can you continue drawing while charging the device?

If it's plugged into your computer to charge, yes..
