We are definitely sisters in life :) As for the doll I have a Korean doll my maternal grandmother sent me as a little girl and I bought a glass domed display piece, wood base and she sits under the glass dome in my living room.
So glad you are out and about after surgery. Your fair looked like great fun! I'm on a tiny county and our fair is tiny...and it was 100 degrees out, so I didn't go. The blue and yellow fabric and tan fabrics are awesome. One can never have too much fabric! Be well, dear one.
Sounds like your surgery went well. That is great! When I crochet granny square blankets, I don't block before putting them together and I've never had an issue. I love the tan fabric. It is a beautiful, neutral color.

For your afghan - if your blocks are acrylic and you block them via steam then they'll stay blocked after washing. That is known as killing. Do NOT touch your iron to the yarn. If your yarn is a natural fabric (wool, bamboo, etc.) then they need to be blocked after each time it is washed.I don't block them ahead of time since I just make them for use by the family.
