I sold my white 1M earlier this year (#154 of 220 for Canada). It was not an easy sell but it had 86k miles and it was during COVID. I enjoyed my time with it and it was capable at autox. I had so much fun driving it sideways and the low end torque is addicting. The brakes were weak on track so I added AP brakes all around along with front camber plates so the front tires lasted longer. The brakes are on a friends E90 M3 now. I didn’t love the car enough to overlook the cost of BMW maintenance and issues I had such as going into limp mode twice at autox. I traded my 1M for an Integra Type R and cash. I enjoy the Type R a lot more. The 1M is a great weekend street car.
i love the switch in intro, hence i watch this video on all of my four gmail youtube account. very informative video as always. your m1 is beautiful and is in beautiful condition
thanks for the update video Glenn, been following on your ownership of this beauty for a few years now. I'm looking to buy a fun manual car, here in Taiwan a really nice manual E46 M3 costs around half of a decent 1M, which one would you recommend for twisty roads? E46 M3 or the 1M? I cant seem to make up my mind...
Love the 1m. Don't think these are worth quite what they were couple years ago, you can find one mid to high 40s now. But this color with only 19k miles is a gem.
@J B think I agree with touringteg, too many options to choose from now. At the height of the 1M price there was only OG M2. Now with the competition, the cs, the new 2series dropping in 2 years, and 1Ms racking up more miles I think the ones that command prices in the 70s will be very rare.
@@GlennsCarCollection Oh I forgot they also gave out a small concept car sketch and some posters. I think that once the Clarkson review dropped and the interest rose, the swag doth flowed.
I have BMW 1 series 118i 06 modell for 1 year now very great car so smooth too drive and this looks so amazing too and rare now and its very fast for sure;) BMW have amazing egine like a machine;)
Gosh I fkn love this car! Australia only got around 300 in the whole country and they are almost extinct over here.. Do NOT sell this car Glen this car is just amazing!
Glenn, I love your 1M! The color is gorgeous and the car has a very aggressive stance, especially from the back. I prefer this to your E46 M3 which is also an awesome car. I was wondering what your preference is?
You’re always going to get a ‘like’ from me with the 1M, love this car but then I’m biased! 😉 Do you think increasing engine bhp - lbs/ft by chipping it could be harmful to the engine/transmission?
@@GlennsCarCollection ah makes sense; however, I don't think I could deal with not having immediate access or having to commute to take them for a spin (particularly from a time perspective). Have you thought about doing a Hoovies Garage type facility setup? Multiple lifts, multiple roll up doors, area rug, etc. You certainly have the inventory for it.
I'll take it Glenn. (Subliminally spoken Yoda speak) "Sell it to him Glenn you must. The dark side is strong with the 1 series M it is. Sell it to him Glenn."🤣😂🤣😂

Great comment. Congrats on the ITR
I've owned mine for 4 years, and would not trade or sell it, just so much fun.
I agree 100%

I prefer the 1M but the E46 M3 is a bargain if you can get it for half a 1M
One of your best cars, hang on to it
Thanks

Yes the hype has calmed down especially since the release of multiple M2 editions
Thank you

Beautiful color and great car. The paint is sooooo much better in person.
It really is!
Glenn, I purchased my 1M 8 months ago, absolutely love it.
Also have a 2013 E92 M3, one of the best sounding V8’s. Keep up the great content 👍
Thanks, will do!
Great review and just further drives the point that I need one. But how come you’ve since sold it if I may ask?
I loved my car, had it 7 years and it appreciated in value. the only reason I sold it was because I wanted an Audi R8 V10 with a manual transmission.
I have got to say, this car looks amazing. Wow. Maybe the best car ever made. The 1m is such a drivers car!!!
Thank you, it sure is
The 1M side profile is the best looking M.....even 10 yrs later
I agree. I like the rear as well, very agressive
I really miss mine even though it was an n54 135 but fbo custom tune
Cool !
Got my AW brand new in 2011. No mark-up. Still own it and still love it. Did you know BMW gave each owner a customizable polo shirt with each car?
Wow, I didn't know that. Cool

Couldn't agree more!
Amazing car
Oh yeah
Thanks for sharing Glenn!
My pleasure!!
What ever you do, don’t get rid of it
don't worry, I wont
Thumbs up for the video. Do you still have s2000? if not, any plan to buy one?
Unfortunately I had to sell the S2000 when I lost my job. I hope to buy another one sooner or later but prices are going crazy

Thanks Pete. I agree
Rare car does it come with a n54 or n55

The 1M is my favorite
Glenns Car Collection , I love it too! Thanks
Glenn what is the exhaust you have ?
Borla
Would you consider it the modern e46 m3?
Hmm, great question. I consider it the modern version of the E30 M3 with modern performance.
My dad still has his afyer 8 years the 2012
Nice !

Do you think increasing engine bhp - lbs/ft by chipping it could be harmful to the engine/transmission?
it depends on how much power you add. I would probably be most concerned with the clutch
J B - Thanks for your detailed reply. Stage 2+ that’s a serious increase.. must have a big push in the back feel.
Love the 6MT 👍
Me too
Hey Glenn, where do you keep all your vehicles, it didn’t seem like you had 6-car garage. Also, have you ever leased or do you only purchase?
I store them in a climate controlled warehouse. Yes, my Jeep and M340i are leased

I just traded my 2020 M2CS for a white one!
Awesome ! Which do you like better? I prefer the 1M over the M2CS

LOL
is this a joke? 6 years and you only did 19k miles??? lol
I have 8 other cars so the mileage is split between them all
