gosh that Marklin kit is so well engineered, from the motor replacement to the carefully thought out motherboard and sound. Nicely done!

I always solder the left inductor to the top of the left brushterminal (where the capacitor is connected) and let it point directly to the right (seem from the video's perspective). This way both inductor point to the same direction and not upwards.

Hi there, can you please make a video on "behind the scenes" how your tools, and materials and rolling stock is organized for easy of use. I mean, how you store grasses and people etc - draws? or boxes etc. You seem very organised and I think this information would be helpful to many. thanks.

Just because it's a Demonstrator set of F7's is why I like this video. Can these locomotives be converted to Two Rail?

You did also replace the Feld_spule with the permanent magnet? No tonly the shield I think?
Hope to hear something from Sweden (What are your points?)

Is Loksound more detailer with cylinders, gaspressure etc. And the motor_rpm coordination with speed

I know You run digital on Marklin M-tracks , but some say that M-tracks does not work well digitally , so what is the problem then , since your loco`s run well ?

Hi! There is no problem at all to run digital on M-rail.. It works perfect!

I think they refer to the mass (GND) detection capabilities. That's different from running digital over M-tracks. That just works.
When you divide your layout into sections which are guarded by signals, these sections need to be isolated from the rest of the track. This is often done using mass detection.
Both rails on a track bed are connected to GND. With C-track these can be isolated from each other since the rest of the rail bed is made of plastic. By isolating one of the rails in a block one rail will always be connected to GND but the other will only be connected when both rails are bridged by the wheels of a passing train. The big plus about this system is that everything with metal wheels will be detected.
Isolating is done by clipping the metal connectors under the trackbed. This is what people often refer to when the mention the clipping of C-track.
Since M-track is all metal, everything but the center conductor is GND. That makes mass detection difficult. In these scenarios other methods like the detection of current are possible. Current detection detects whether something passes that uses current. Like a locomotive or a carriage with lights. It will not detect a carriage without lights as it wont use current.
Another method of detection is by reed sensor. This is a sensor in a glas casing and it reacts when a magnet passes. Every train needs a magnet underneath to let this work.
As for me, I'm still not sure whether I want to clip up my nice C-track. So current detection is definitely an option for me...

That is not what an f unit should sound like.

True! 👍😊 The sound decoder came with a general diesel sound. I flashed down F7 sound later, since I didn’t a decoder programmer when I recorded this video.
