Wow! Nikki Glaser, I have forever & a day loved you. This podcast has now put you on my hero list! I too struggle with depression and suicidal idealation. The hell of it is my father did that when I was 16! So baffles the world that dare I say or feel as I do sometimes! "How dare me of all people knowing how it feels to the family left behind!" I've never been able to explain it. I've never once heard anyone explain it better & felt every word! Watched with tears flowing because I felt your words! No, I don't choose those thoughts. I fight them & get help; but yes, "like catching a cold". So my Vitamin C for those "flare ups" is EMDR therapy! So helpful! Yes, currently in treatment. Word of caution from years of personal experience, I cannot ever take any kind of pharmaceutical anti-depressant. I have a paradoxical reaction that makes my behavior so opposite of my core--short fused, aggressive, horribly mean & confrontational & say things I would never even think to those I love most--evil! I also get beyond suicidal as in have intent & a plan. So after years of experience making everyone I loved hate me, we've learned...no pharmaceuticals! Seems mine stems from C-PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. Thank you for being a voice & bringing awareness! Much love always!!

I love Nikki, she's one of my favourite comedians. Her honesty and openness talking about her battles really do make you feel like you're not the only one experiencing these problems. Also my uncle has the same kind of OCD as Howie and I know just how awkward and nerve-wracking "normal" situations can be for someone with that condition, so in a strange way it was nice to hear someone be open about it. This was a great podcast, my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner!

Thank You, Great Podcast. I will share once I realized everything were doing is just so we can die someday. Life became a waste of time. My world ended my my Grandma passed away when I was 15 on Christmas Eve. Then I lost my father two days before Christmas. What will be 6 years ago this Christmas. So now at 64 I just go through the motions which I’ve been doing for years. Because of social anxiety I only leave my now cabin I live in to walk up and check mail and pay bills twice a week. Mostly keep my blinds drawn and keep to myself.

I don't know why but I get the feeling that Howie Mandel is kind to people he doesn't need to be which is really cool. I don't get the feeling that the OCD stuff and not having a GED is some public relations stunt to make him seem more relatable. It seems real. Which is just so cool. When I find myself being a judgemental jerk I watch what he does with people that irritate me.

to die in ones sleep, its usually due to old people and sleep paralysis dreams, which scares the shieet out of them literally, and they die in their sleep, its basically "torture literally lol.. Since their heart can't withstand the "scare" of that dream, they wake up with extremely fast heart beats, sweat, hence it killing them in their dreams. Unless you have a weak heart. Sleep paralysis dreams are basically lucid dreams, for people who are "unaware" of them; I have them all the time, every day, quite fun to control them fully, its basically a alternate reality/universe which you have full control over and create to your own whims.
