As a Sport Mode Player that’s new to Blade and Sorcery, I can confirm that in Sport Mode, we grab the enemies and rotate at least 583 degrees before letting go.
@ashreid2143 As an owner of bonelab, I personally wouldn't get it. It feels like kinda clunky, at least to me. It's also kinda boring, as the mods at the moment are just skins and like 10 guns. I'm sure, after a couple of years, that we will have awesome mods later, but it's just not worth the price tag at the moment unless on sale. The campaign was a bit fun, though, I will add! Just overwhelmingly short.
i feel like physically turning is better, not only is it more immersive, but it also prevents accidentally turning from stick drift (whoevers idea it was to add an option to disable stick turning thank you)
"How to play BnS like brutality" Throw all your weapons at the enemy, and if that doesn't work, grab them by the face or arm and beat/stab them. There, I saved you from watching the video
When using bladed weapons, you really have to pay attention to the curve of your blades. I tend to see new players swinging randomly and hitting the enemy with the side of their blade and not the edge. It’s a logic that most starting players tend to overlook. Dodge and weave, and like said by brutality, only fight one enemy at a time, keep mobile as it will prevent other enemies from attacking you. Use sounds, and ALWAYS, make sure you keep track of the amount of enemies on screen, for example, I play on the Oculus so B&S Nomad. A max of three enemies always spawn, after I kill one or two enemy, I always look around to make sure I know exactly where the next ones spawned so I don’t get stabbed in the back. Like the game actually states, don’t overswing, the weapons have weights obviously and if you swing too fast, the attacker is weaker or may deflect off entirely. This more applies to heavy weapons like two handed axe rather then shortswords. Finally, stabs are OP, stab really fast as if you’re actually tryna kill someone irl, from my experience in Nomad. 99% of the time, the AI won’t be able to react in time to a 400ms boar spear stab to their chest since they dodge by the relative distance from the weapon rather then actually, looking at your stance, reading your intentions and dodge.. because they aren’t deep-learning AI obviously. It’s very basic but it is some of what I call foundation skills to have when playing B&S, the stuff shown here are neat-tricks you learn along the way.
Going along with tip 10, throwing rocks and pots at the enemy (mainly rocks, has a better effect imo) staggers them for a while. It gives you time to absolutely violate the enemy lmao Edit: With u12 and breakable objects out, throwing environmental objects (like, as I said before, pots) is absolutely OP
As someone who loves learning sword stances I find that going for the neck tends to be the main option I have not watched the hole video yet but I recommend with sword and rapier go for there right swing to your left and aim for the neck this is good against shelds
I use tip 6 a lot, using a rapier for it makes it feel a bit more elegant till you mess it up a bit and then repeatedly start slamming the blade into their neck till they fall, the other main weapons I use are either too short (dagger) or cut the head clean off
Cool trick I picked up on, if an enemy is using an ax or a mace, you can grab the handle with one hand and forcefully disarm them with the other, leading to some cinematic looking counter kills.
It's cool that you have your own style in this game, I usually try to do what I learned from HEMA channels but it's a lot harder when it requires movement in real life for a lot of the moves
@@bupkis72 more of i'm surprised at the space he has for vr, honestly i dislike a lot of how he does stuff but due to him moving in real life he's much faster and can get away with it
The game is great, but it kinda sucks for hema stuff. I've been doing hema for 6 years and a lot of stuff doesn't work properly. For a start you can't use footwork, second of all, two handed weapons are super clunky and you can't do most guards properly. The only swords I've had luck with is sabre and smallsword. Sabre is my favourite weapon to use in the game. All the guards and parries work pretty much perfectly. You can kinda simulate the lunge and recover footwork too. The enemies just get too close
@@0612rex I definitely agree with that, but unless we could get a warehouse, a treadmill, or go full dive vr then I think blade and sorcery is the best sword fighting game currently. Not that it doesn't have it's issues mind you, without mods it's weapon selection is limited and striking people with the "wrong" part of the weapon tends to do nothing but push them around, but let me tell you it's a lot better than hellsplit arena where everything feels like a five pound mace regardless of it's weight distribution
@@ragedgrunt hitting with the flat doing nothing is realistic. It trains good edge alignment. The one thing I do find annoying is leather armour is completely resistant to cuts. Might as well be steel plate. There used to be a mod to fix that but it's outdated
Even though I already knew like half of these, this really made me realize how much B&S mimics aspects of real combat, such as positioning yourself so you fight a lot of 1v1 battles instead of a 1v3. Of course, my point is undercut when “positioning” refers to tossing a fully grown man with one arm straight at another and stabbing the third to death
hey Brute, you ever try to use Sectory when you're playing? I combined it with the realistic bleeding, and i use the weapons modpack you use (i forget the name) and it gets pretty brutal, knockin' people out and so forth.

Another tip! Use the axe weapons (small ones recommended) to lock the enemy weapon between the blade and handle to gain full control over where their weapon is!
You should try this with sectory, it makes it so that they don't die from one stab and allows you to do brutal things like beat people to death with their own arms after slicing off that same arm
one of my favorite moves i’ve come up with is slicing at the leg while running then depending on your weapon go for the head or back once you’ve passed them
U think u could make a list of all the mods u use? I'm talking every single one? Only if you wan't to lol. Love the content btw, keep up the good work.

3:38 RP in general helps convey what you are doing to the viewers as they can’t see your whole body when dodging. Helps make content more enjoyable rather than an arms down back dodge which looks weird on video.
I love utilizing kicking, I'd do the same first tip but I'd instead kick them to the ground, grab my sword in both hands and stab them leaving them pinned to the ground, I'd then disarm them and drive the blade deeper killing them.
The last one is so satisfying to do, just grabbing an enemy by the neck, punching them 3 times and then uppercutting them while letting go of their neck is perfection.
That's my problem. I can't move too much, or I end up hurting myself on obstacles like my TV. Still having fun, though, love grab their legs and smashing their heads into stuff.
