I’m not asking for muscle car power but that acceleration test was absolutely putrid. Thanks for showing that, IMO you need enough power to merge onto the freeway safely.

I wanted a 23 Accord EX last year. I had 8200 equity in my trade. I called my insurance carrier and in Texas my insurance in the 6 months period would go up 445. A Civic was 440 more. The lowest insurance hike of 235 was the 24 HRV EXL. I had test driven the Civic hatch and Accord. Between the 2 the Accord was much better drive quality. I refused to pay 300 a month for insurance on the Accord EX. I bought the last 24 HRV EXL blind spot the dealer had in Milano Red for the lower insurance. My payment is 342. I paid 29,000. Financed 20,500. I’m at 10,762 paying extra principal. My insurance is 229. Check the insurance before you buy. Have a couple of car options. Trust me you’ll end up sacrificing the car you want like me for lower costs.

My one and only gripe with my new 2025 Honda HR-V is there is no Engine Temp Gauge on the instrument cluster. I noticed that after 2,500 miles, the car is finally teaching me to settle down and not give a crap about an engine temperature gauge. Then I remembered my old 2015 CR-v taught me not to care about the oil pressure gauge delete. But that stuff is still important. I would rather have the sensors on the motor hooked up to a gauge that give me a reading than an "Idiot Light." Which by the way, is a good name for it. Reviewers seem to be remiss in point out important stuff buyers need to know they will cost them a lot of money later on. I never see reviewers discuss if this motor has a timing chain or a timing belt. They never discuss if the Fuel Injection System on the Honda HR-V is Direct Injection, Port Injection or both like Toyota has. I heard only one reviewer say the HR-V has "Multi-Port Injection" but the guy never explained what that was, and how it worked. Wait till you try to look what Honda's Muilt-port Injection system is on the Internet. You'll be more clueless about that then you are about how hot or cold your Honda is running because you don't have a temperature gauge. But so far my new 2025 HR-V car is great. But it would be so sweet if I fooled around with the vehicle setting and I discovered there was a real gauge cluster hiding in there.

Hi! I am considering buying the 2025 Honda crv sport. Do you own the sport model? Something I am concerned about is the uncomfortable seats. Do you feel like yours have gotten better with time as they’ve gotten broken in? Thank you!!

Thanks for the review. One thing I think Honda mastered better than others is CVT transmission. It feels good.

Honda's CVT is one of the best transmissions in terms of reliability and smoothness, the only downside is power deliver process, is not going to be excited. As a car enthusiast you're not likely to love it, but if you just a normal person that want a car with smooth ride, Honda's CVT is one of the best out there.

it's a mystery why Honda hasn't put a hybrid in this model. It has tons of space under the hood and would give the HRV the torque and boost this vehicle needs to be a first choice. The HRV falls behind due to the sluggish engine and meh MPGs. Honda needs to up their game with this vehicle

This is a big improvement over my 2020 HRV sport especially the Civic like interior. But the powertrain is still anemic even though they upgraded to the Civic engine. Needs the 1.5 Turbo or a Hybrid powertrain to be competitive.

I only have a couple complaints about my 24 HRV. For an advertised "technology" vehicle this vehicle lacks features you get in sub 25K vehicles such as power point in the front of the vehicle, USB system is not a hub system but more so low voltage power points, the cup holders over the shift humps have zero lighting to find them at night and lastly the TPM system does not show individual tire pressures and is annoying after a rotation. My first oil change required a rear differential oil change which is not covered under the two years free maintenance and my dealer charged 129 dollars for. Other than that once you get used to the vehicle it drives really well, road noise is OK but is very noticeable, you get better fuel economy on the highway in Normal mode as opposed to Eco mode. I am getting 34 MPG on the highway with a 17% city to 83% highway mix. Around 350 - 390 per tank of fuel.

Unfortunately the HR V is sluggish with that CVT, it (maybe) reliable transmission and solid resale/trade in values and the infotainment is small screen size in mid 2024. Solid review........

Yet another great review! As to the vehicle itself: NO REAR AIR VENTS! Come on HONDA, THIS is for flat fact THE, the one and only but THE REASON we are putting our money down on a 2025 Corolla Cross! Our Pilot has 335k VERY reliable miles. But to stay in budget and buying a new vehicle, economy has pushed us down into the small crossover SUV market. -_- Would loved loved loved to stay in the Honda family as there has been one Honda or another in our family since 1996. But, no more I guess -_-

Interior of HR-V looks better than Corrola Cross. Not only looks better but some instrument buttons don't even compare to HR-V. Interior of HR-V is kinda Civic. We have bth vehicles in family but 2024 Civic Sport Hatchback CVT is my nephew’s vehicle . I picked that out.
Then his mother wanted something newer. She has high mileage on 2007 Ridgeline 235,000. Something smaller as daily driver and use truck now for truck things.
But since I'm Honda guy I started looking at HR-V for 68yr old sister.
      I picked out 2024 HR-V EX-L AWD.
Interior/exterior just looks good to me over other competitors.
The Interior room was also another reason it checked the boxes.

I have the 2023 Honda Hrv Sport in tge Milano red color and my only complaint besides fuel economy and horsepower is the rattling sound that these make when idling at a light in drive and in reverse after driving around for a little while. I took it to my local Honda dealer and they told me that it’s normal. Can anyone tell me what it can be please? My local Honda dealer told me that it happens on all of the Honda vehicles and that it’s due to the High pressure fuel pump but wouldn’t explain why. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know why the High pressure fuel pumps are sooo loud that it comes into the cabin at certain times?
