I just bought a 2025 HRV EX-L. I had a 2019 HRV EX, but I was hit from behind and it was deemed a total loss. Such an improvement over the first gen. I loved my 2019, but this 2025 is super nice. Thanks for showing some of those tech tools. I was really surprised by the door lock under the driver handle. The only thing I cannot get figured out is the wireless charger.

I have the same vehicle and all you have to do to turn off the day time running lights are turn the light switch to "off" when the vehicle is running. The switch will then go back to the auto position but the light will be off even at night. To turn them back on you then turn the switch to off again and the day time running lights will come back on. Ive never had to hit the parking brake or turn the car off.

Hey Chris, I have a 2022 Honda Pilot and when I turn the car off, the radio will play until I open the drivers side door. I also have the 2025 HR-V elx. When I turn the car off the radio will turn off immediately. Is there an option on the HR-V that will let the radio play until I open the drivers side door?

boss, we bought this car for my wife and recently I bought wireless charger mount for her and we were surprised: we can't find cigarette charger outlet to install that mount. is it because HRVs dain't come with cigarette lighter outlet anymore? a bit embarassed. If I'm wrong can you tell us where is that outlet located?
I haven't tried locking the doors while the vehicle is on and the fob is outside of the vehicle in your hands. Just select lock. I haven't attempted this yet so let us know.

Yes, the EXL trim has the bigger 9-inch color touch-screen with volume knob, customizable settings and smart shortcuts. I didn't have one on the lot at the time of making the video
How about getting the pump from the gas station out of the car? Just got gas for the first time and couldn’t get the pump out, ended up hitting the trigger and pulling, spilling some gas. 😮
Can someone help me with this question ? I have a 2023 HRV SPORT - and just passed 1,300 miles. - I received a notice on the odometer saying that it needed maintenance- (?) Why??? I haven’t even hit 2,000 miles yet. Any suggestions,, help,,,, would be greatly appreciated (before I call the dealership). Thanks all , in advance 👍🏼
Some helpful info, I spoke with the maintenance department of the Honda dealership, and explained to them that after approximately 1300 miles, my “ maintenance is due” light turned on. And I have no idea why, after only 1300 miles. -Keep in mind, I purchased the vehicle last October, so it is less than a year old. That is what confused me. -They said that the computer registers maintenance, by the mileage, or if it has not been in the shop for maintenance within six months. I kind of understand because my situation is not common, it is going to turn a year-old in a few weeks, and has less than 2000 miles --so they explain to me that the car sensors if it has not had any maintenance, it will give a warning light, not taking into account, the low mileage, but the fact that it has been almost a year - I know this isn’t uncommon situation, but maybe it will help others, because there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. It was just a warning light that needed to be reset.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 not trying to be funny, but, there has been times where the vehicle has been turned off for a week, and then turned back on, so that had nothing to do with the maintenance light. But thank you for the suggestion.

Any insight on my new 2023 hrv was running and I was outside of it talking to someone pry about 10 minutes and it auto shut off? Anyway to disable that?
The Remote start does run for 10 minutes and can be extended by repeating the process. Lets say that five minutes past and then you repeated the process, the remote start will run for the total of 15 minutes.

Is the vehicle on when you walk away with the vehicle? If so the vehicle is warning you that it's running and thinking that you forgot to turn it off. If this is the situation there is NO setting to disable the beep.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 I went from a passport elite in 4 years I only had 33 k miles on it, to this 2024 compact i knew about some of the options that I wasn’t getting on the 24 HRV have to say the longer I have this car the more I love this compact car, also I think it attractive , it’s a fabulous car for a compact, i test drove several, the HRV was a clear winner in many categories for me. Also it’s a 5 star crash rating I’m told.

Recording and reporting the vehicle's location, recording and reporting the speed of the car, and a couple others ... there's about 5 of them called out in the terms of service document on the Honda site. @@CrazyHondaChris-H18 Yeah, I finally it last night before I was about to give up. Why is the 12 volt plug at the rear and not on the dashboard? Unfortunately the air compressor that I have isn't long enough to reach the front tires because the volt plug is at the rear. Terrible design choice! I had to use my truck's volt plug to pump air into the hr-v's front tires. Any suggestions to resolve this inconvenience in the future?

You're correct, there's not a 12 volt plug in the second generation HRVs

It's recommended regular unleaded gasoline

You can't close the windows/moonroof from the fob remote.
How do you open the tailgate when the battery is down? How do you fill up the gas tank is the battery is down?
There are levers on the top sides of the rear seats that allow you to fold down the seats to access the rear cargo area. Thanks for watching

Correct, the EXL has a different touch screen but you can change the settings with the same direction.
Is there a way to turn the Daytime running lights off while driving? Also is there a way to not have the headlights come on automatically?
Not while in motion because some state laws require them to be on if they have them while in motion.

Hey Crazy Man... I have a question about the Tachometer... I have a CR-V Hybrid... is there one in all the electronic settings so I can maybe have it in SPORT MODE at least... or does the Hybrid not get one... @@santan546 Turning off the vehicle and waiting a few moments before turning it back on.
Some helpful info, I spoke with the maintenance department of the Honda dealership, and explained to them that after approximately 1300 miles, my “ maintenance is due” light turned on. And I have no idea why, after only 1300 miles.
-Keep in mind, I purchased the vehicle last October, so it is less than a year old. That is what confused me.
-They said that the computer registers maintenance, by the mileage, or if it has not been in the shop for maintenance within six months.
I kind of understand because my situation is not common, it is going to turn a year-old in a few weeks, and has less than 2000 miles --so they explain to me that the car sensors if it has not had any maintenance, it will give a warning light, not taking into account, the low mileage, but the fact that it has been almost a year -
I know this isn’t uncommon situation, but maybe it will help others, because there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. It was just a warning light that needed to be reset.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 not trying to be funny, but, there has been times where the vehicle has been turned off for a week, and then turned back on, so that had nothing to do with the maintenance light. But thank you for the suggestion.

@NYCEMT35 if the fob battery is just weak, have the fob touching the push button start as you push to start the vehicle.

Any insight on my new 2023 hrv was running and I was outside of it talking to someone pry about 10 minutes and it auto shut off? Anyway to disable that?
The Remote start does run for 10 minutes and can be extended by repeating the process. Lets say that five minutes past and then you repeated the process, the remote start will run for the total of 15 minutes.

does hrv 2024 sport unlock trunk with key fob? I see the trunk button on the key fob but it doesnt unlock
Yes you can. There's a button on the fob looks like a hatch is opening but it's just to unlock the hatch while keeping the other doors locked

Hi, I was wondering what the "S" gear is? Is it like a "sport mode" or something else?
"S" Mode does the following on the 2023 Honda HRVs (P.409 Owners Manual)
● Better acceleration.
● Used to increase engine braking.
● Used when going up or down hills.

I would double-check for updates on the phone. Then check if you're using an aftermarket cable. Sometimes, they don't work.

No powered tailgates on the HRV American Honda Market. The tailgate button on the fob is to just unlock it while keeping the doors locked. Thank you for watching

My friend bought a 2024 honda hrv this afternoon.. I was pressing buttons holding buttons on her remote fob and now her remote start isn’t working. What did it do? (I was pressing and holding lock unlock and other buttons…)

It's only helpful if you have a claspable nozzle gas can.. which newer cans are not

Is the vehicle on when you walk away with the vehicle? If so the vehicle is warning you that it's running and thinking that you forgot to turn it off. If this is the situation there is NO setting to disable the beep.

@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 I went from a passport elite in 4 years I only had 33 k miles on it, to this 2024 compact i knew about some of the options that I wasn’t getting on the 24 HRV have to say the longer I have this car the more I love this compact car, also I think it attractive , it’s a fabulous car for a compact, i test drove several, the HRV was a clear winner in many categories for me. Also it’s a 5 star crash rating I’m told.

How do you turn off the opt-in features in a HRV 2024 model? I don't want them turned on as my minute by minute location is none of Honda's business.

Recording and reporting the vehicle's location, recording and reporting the speed of the car, and a couple others ... there's about 5 of them called out in the terms of service document on the Honda site. @@CrazyHondaChris-H18 Yeah, I finally it last night before I was about to give up. Why is the 12 volt plug at the rear and not on the dashboard? Unfortunately the air compressor that I have isn't long enough to reach the front tires because the volt plug is at the rear. Terrible design choice! I had to use my truck's volt plug to pump air into the hr-v's front tires. Any suggestions to resolve this inconvenience in the future?
