en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachymeter_(watch) The outside bezel essentially counts fractions of time within a 3,600 second time frame (3,600 seconds in an hour). Provided you know the instant you've gone one mile, and assuming the tachymeter is properly scaled, you should be able to get your approximate rate of speed (distance traveled/time elapsed) from the outer markings on the watch dial. If you've gone 15 seconds according to the above Daytona in one mile, it reads a constant speed of 240 miles/hr. This equates to 3,600/240 or 15 discrete units of time (seconds).
2:39 why does the minute hand of the chrono move to 1 min about 0.5 sec late? The seconds hand has already passed the 60 mark, and the minutes hand has not fully moved to 1 minute... genuinely asking if thats an issue.
Thanks, easier then I thought. I'll probably still go with the day date double click, just what I'm used to. I'm looking though, considering something different. Also A little more water proof then what I'm used to might be the best feature I could gain
To set the hour subdial on a Rolex Daytona, follow these steps: 1) Unscrew the Crown: If your Daytona has a screw-down crown, gently unscrew it until it pops out to the first position. 2) Pull the Crown Out: Pull the crown out to the second position. This is the position for setting the time. 3) Set the Main Time: Rotate the crown to set the main time. The hour and minute hands will move as you do this. 4) Set the Chronograph: If you want to set the hour subdial for the chronograph, you will need to start the chronograph function (by pressing the top push-button) and then stop it to see where the subdial is pointing. Reset the chronograph by pressing the bottom push-button. 5) Push the Crown Back In: Once you’ve set the time and the subdials as desired, push the crown back in and screw it down if necessary. *** Make sure to refer to the specific manual for your model for any additional features or differences!
What are you talking about man? I have a chronograph and I use the stopwatch on that thing like crazy! It's so helpful for letting me know how much time I waste doing things.
Why doesn't my chronograph second's hand moving? The 6 o'clock chronograph is just staying still. Plus it doesn't reset to 0 after pressing the 4 o'clock button.
You mentioned elapsed minute hand but didn't provide an example of how to read the elapsed minutes or hours. Can you direct me to RUclips video that really shows how to use the chronograph feature? Specifically how to read the elapsed hours and minutes.
It's not, it's a 'flaw' of the rehaut, it's not always going to be centered. You'd only know this if you'd follow the rep scene, people in that community know more about the ins and outs of both gen and rep watches than watch 'experts' themselves, to be fair they are watch experts too, they're able to identify a rep in the shittiest of photos and from the slightest differences too. They spend so much time looking over minute details there's no way you'd call them anything but experts.
The video is good for someone who already knows everything about the functions of Daytona. However, for others, you could have made the video a little longer by speaking more slowly to explain things better. Everyone who came here would still have watched the entire video.

I couldn't understand how to read a chronograph after watching this. Highlighting or pointing out what you're talking about would help.
What did she say?
You are 101% correct

The tachymeter also predicts factory production rates. Eloquently presented with animated diction.

I think one more thing you should point out is that you will NEVER use this function.

On the gold one the serial number isn't centered. I sincerely doubt it is fake but that was weird to see.

A beautiful time piece however not particularly practical. As such, I always have worn my Sub 5513. Ideal for dive profiles and timing anything

The cadence and speed of the presenter sounds like a flight attendant announcing airplane safety instructions. I learned nothing.
I dont like how she pronounces "chronograph" and "tachymetre".
This is all too complicated and most Casio watches can handle this better.
