This is literally your demo workflow with 100% midi instruments and it sounds better than fully produced commercial tracks I see all over the place. What in the fuck ahaha.
How do you make your guitar sound so instantly badass? Do you use preset channel strips for each instrument, or what's your setup like? I'm using Studio One and your guide to reroute GGD drums was a huge help. However, I'm still unsure how to set up my projects by default, especially when it comes to guitar (Odin III or Shreddage) and bass (Eurobass via Kontakt). Since you're all about workflow and efficiency, I figured you might have some tips on default setups for these instruments. By the way, your tutorials are absolutely killer!
yoo coming from an EDM background but in my teen years I was making music like this. Hella cool message here and really like the idea of using midi for this type of music. You gained a sub!
@@Phctn dude that’s awesome, thank you!! I actually first started writing edm inside of Ableton, then once I realized I could write rock and metal, I never turned back! Haha
Hi Chris, did you manually put the VST Keyswitches in the piano roll? Or is there a way to have them kind of automatically filled in? Thanks in advance - keep going ,-)
There is quite a bit processing on my end. this is the result of using and constantly mixing PV, to the point where i know its quirks and overtones and such.
Ok, so the way you can see each piece of the drum kit on the midi programming. What is that called? I've been trying to figure out how to do that in Logic but it's a difficult thing to search for without getting mixed results.
You can edit the name of each note on the midi map by clicking each note on the left, not sure how works on logic but it’s right click twice on the daw that I use. Hope this helps
@@EONSOFFICIAL. It actually does. I can probably figure out by just familiarizing myself more with the MIDI portion. I'm currently in the daw doing that :)
I’ve been going off of this video to help me try and figure it out. Apparently logic is more of a pain in the ass than the other daws. ruclips.net/video/jyLyhoKrbw0/видео.htmlsi=nE1AA-LHftiLAdgZ
@@chrisbedan Ha, I posted that as I was watching the video. Then right after posting, you got to it right at the end. But I figured "fuck it, my point still stands, probably should've opened with it too." 😂 Great video though, I really enjoy how you focus on the creative aspect & moving fast and not just discussing them after the fact.

hahah thanks soo much, man! i honestly chalk it up to having frequency OCD and wanting to hear what my songs sound like in "finished" form!
@@chrisbedan I'm exactly the same way. Just impressed as hell, this is *the* progressive metalcore tone.
This deserves so many more views. The talent and your ear is really impressive. Subbed, really glad I found you on Instagram > RUclips. +1 fan

Same here dude!! glad to have you, thanks for checking it out!
This 'Make songs fast' series has been so helpful on so many levels! Big appreciation

Which libraries are you using for the synths? Sounds really cool! 😊
