Ultimate Vision & Goals Setting System
I spent 30 years refining this guide to setting goals and envisioning the future of his life. Now I am giving it away to you.
    8 Steps for Goal Setting
    Define Your Categories
Define what you’re going to measure. List everything important to you, rank them on a scale of 1-10, and track these over time.
    Connect Your Mind and Heart
Sit and marinate in your goals. Connect the heart and mind to each category you listed, and think through the timeline to achieve your desires. Every goal needs an emotion tied to it.
    Write Down Your Goals
The best way to achieve a goal is to simply write it down. Update them as you track them throughout the year, and leave copies of them for yourself in different places. You can’t achieve what you don’t remember.
    Go Through Your Data
Whatever your tracking, review the historical data. Then compare those numbers to where they are today, and where you want them later. Determine what needs adjusting as you set realistic, future goals and habits.
    Journal About Your Goals
You don’t have to journal every day about your goals, but you should be journaling about the things holding you back. Write about the challenges you face now and expect to face, and how you expect to overcome them.
    Socialize Your Goals
People should know what you’re working towards. The 5 people you spend the most time with are your greatest source of support. Share your mission, so that they can be there for you on your journey.
Break Goals Into Small Steps (milestones)
Break down your main goals into smaller goals that you can track every day, week, month, etc. Every goal needs milestones that you can walk to success. No shortcuts!
    Having Peer Groups (accountability)
This isn’t socializing, this is about pure accountability. Not friends or family, just people in a peer group who are solely there to watch your progress, and let you know when you’re not making any.
    What To Measure
Here’s what I focus on every year:
    Diet, Water
    Exercise
    DPA (Dollar Productive Activities)
    Love for Work
    Romance
    Children
    Parents, Siblings, etc.
    Friends
    Horizontal Income
    Music & Dance
    Hobbies
    Adventure, Travel
    Risk & Excitement
    Chill Time
    Giving Back
    Future Planning
    Gratitude Thermometer
    LHI AVERAGE (Leading Health Indicators)
    Weight
    Body Fat %
    BMI (Body Mass Index)
    Blood
    Pressure
    Metabolic Age
    5 Goal Traps
In 30 years of practice, I’ve made plenty of mistakes. But you don’t have to make them too. Here are 5 ways to avoid the most common traps on your journey to success.
Set Aside Money & Time For Your Goal
You need resources(time, money, people) to survive, and your goals are no different.
    Having A System
Use a calendar, take notes, document your struggles, and set reminders.
    Conviction & Emotion
Sit down and meditate on your goals. You have to believe in them and yourself.
    Surround Yourself With Open-Minded People
Have trusted people in your life with open mindsets. Positive, curious, and successful people.
An Appropriate Timeframe For Your Goals
Set appropriate timeframes that you can achieve. You underestimate what you can achieve in three years, and overestimate what you can achieve in one year.
    Bonus: Pain & Pleasure
The Pleasure: What do you get if you win? Plan a gift for yourself, your partner, your business, etc. New home, new car, big vacation, anything you realistically want. You need to reward yourself for a job well done. You deserve it!
The Pain: Write a check for an amount of money that would be painful to lose, and put it in an envelope. Include a letter explaining that if you fail at your goals, the enclosed money is to be given away. How’s that for motivation?
Apply this blueprint for success to your vision and build a more successful future. And follow my other channels for even more valuable content that you can actually use.
