    It is such a pleasure to hear a lecture that goes beyond the summary of Shakespeare plays. I wish Cantor would lecture on all the Shakespeare plays!

    THE 7 STAGES OF GRIEF-
    R & J - 4.5.49-54
    Nurse's lament over Juliet - she says woe 7 times - she is going through the stages all at once - she is reliving the death of Susan 11 years earlier - Juliet + Susan = duality = 11 - Passage begins @ 49 = 7 (7) - Not dumb poetry - well thought out - R&J revolves around # - Stars-cosmos - Fate

    He said something in the previous lecture to lead the listener to the right path - something to the effect that in a Rom-Com the lovers have to learn to bend, to surrender a part of themselves to the commitment to the other.

    What year written?

      Not really known but apparently around 1594 - 1596. Shakespeare written it around the time he was writing Romeo & Juliet
