Good quick summary- but I’d like to know what kind of wire that is- obviously strong but very thin. Also, a few comments: I always recommend pulling a length of pull string along with the cat6 and tying it off at both ends to make it easy to pull another wire through if your needs change in the future. Also, anywhere anyone may encounter that pex along its route I recommend marking it clearly “data cable- DO NOT CUT” - easy to do, could save you a mess of work in the future if some repair person or contractor is doing work in a rush. Finally, on the “receiving end” you could attach a short length of clear tubing which goes into the vac and have a young helper watch it and turn off the vac as soon as he/she sees the payload is delivered- get the whole family involved! I’ve used extra CPVC pipe to protect data cable runs through my house, but Pex is a good option, too.
Good tips. The wire was just some hookup wire I had on hand. Any stranded single conductor wire could work. It forms a good seal in the cap of the tee.
