Thanks for sharing. Your garden is very nice, and I particularly liked seeing your nice variety of shrubs. I love my oakleaves hydrangeas and other pannicle ones. I might need a dwarf oakleaf now, lol. Btw, I'm a hairstylist too!

Garden looking great.
I love my Oak Leaf Hydrangea. And they truly do not need any care to look beautiful.
My kind of plant! I hate having to baby plants lol. Thx for being here!
These plants are so beautiful. I miss my old hydrangeas I had in California. I had no idea there was another variety that would survive in our crazy weather. I can’t wait to order them. Thanks for another great lesson.
Several varieties do well here. Limelight. Oakleafs, invincible....just put them on drip tubing to survive summer. Thx for commenting!!
Out of all the times I've seen this in you yard I never realized that elongated shape of the flowers. Now I feel like I need one of these too!
Of course you do! Lol.
Mine will de delivered this week, so excited!
You needed it!! Take your time 😊
I always manage to learn something from you Marie. My wife and I really love the standard hydrangeas and we want some blue ones when we do our house landscaping, but, I think my wife would really love the Ruby Slippers. She wants plants that will change color in the fall, so I think she will love that one.
In a couple weeks I’ll do an update video on them with their color change happening. I adore the little ruby slippers.
I love them!! All of them!! I can’t wait for my garden to be as established as yours! You have a beautiful garden!!! I love the ruby slippers especially for fall color.
It’s fun! I’ve been working on this garden for 16 yrs. Always adding. 😊🌸🌷
Salongirl Gardens that’s amazing!! I’ve lived in my house for almost 4 years & will hopefully be selling in the next 2 years! Our next home will be our forever home & I can’t wait to build gardens! 😊😊😊
i have several...they are pretty wild. I really like the flowers.
I do too! They’re so “extra” lol

Thank you!
SO PRETTY!
Aren’t they? And so easy to grow!
Love yours and hope mine that are in the Marie Salongirl nursery Daycare are doing well!
Lol! We need to get these planted!
So glad that you are finding some way to make ends meet. The hydrangeas look amazing. I hope your go at the chocolate vine is better than mine. They have been in the trays a long time and no sprouts. 🤷♂️
I have mine in my grow room right now. Been in 4” pots about 2 weeks now. I soaked mine and then put in soil. I’m hoping soon I’ll have a sprout or 2...yes I’m so thankful my clients also know I’m a garden junkie and have trusted me to redesign their landscapes. It’s turned into a cool side hustle. Hope you’re doing well?
You are awesome. Love it
❤️
Absolutely gorgeous!
I love the blooms. I can’t wait for all of mine to bloom🥰💕
They are so pretty. I’ve been so happy with the oakleafs. Carefree hydrangeas for sure.
Ours are just starting to get little leaves! Aha you and I definitely live in different climates.
Michigan Garden Gal totally! I’m like almost 2 months ahead. It’s crazy to me!!
Your Oakleaf are beautiful! I planted two varieties last summer
Thank you! They’re so carefree and beautiful!
Thanks for sharing!! Your garden looks absolutely beautiful. I’m looking to plant an couple. How close do you have your oakleaf’s planted to each other?
I love Oak leafs. I have them everywhere also.
I do too! They’re such an easy plant for me in Texas. Thanks for being here!
Beautiful plant. I’ll get me one
Yes!!! They’re beautiful! I’m sure you’ll be very happy with them!
Beautiful,,,Thank you
Thank you for watching! 🌸❤️🌸
I just got a Snow Queen. I plan to plant it before a fence. How far out from the fence should i plant it? Thanks greatly enjoyed this video.
Happy Gardening 2022!
You too!!!
Wonderful video! I always learn something from you. Those Ruby Slippers are going to be added to my wish list! Your garden is absolutely gorgeous. ❤❤❤
Thx Christina!! The ruby slippers are fun and petite!
Thank you for this great video! I've been trying to grow an oakleaf hydrangea for several years, ever since I saw one at the Wichita, KS arboretum. It was large like yours, maybe 10 ft high, with the sweetest scent ever! Do all oakleaf hydrangeas have that gorgeous scent?
The first couple I bought wilted, so then I tried some cuttings from a friend's, but none of them survived. I'm on my 4th try now, with a few softwood cuttings in sand and a small sprout with a small root. Thanks!
My tall oakleafs smell sweet. The mini oakleafs don’t have a smell in my garden. I love them!
Hello! Great video. I recently got into gardening as well and planted my first hydrangea a few weeks ago. Out of curiosity, how old is your big Oakleaf that you showed off in the start of the video? Lovely, lovely garden!
Hi! This year is their 3rd year. But they looked full and fluffy last year. I’m in love with them. Great performers and 0 maintenance.
Do have recommendations on other plants to plant it near? Other spiky plants similar to gladiolus?
Why has my red slipper hydrangea blooms turned brown instead od the pink/red fall color? Thank you!
Beautiful garden. Thank you for this video. Makes me hopeful that my new oakleaf hydrangea will be able to thrive here in Alabama.
I think they’ll do great! It’s hot/humid there too right?
@@SalongirlGardens yes definitely! Thanks!
👍🏻
Hi! I’m wondering how much sun your oakleafs get? I have an area that really only gets one to two hours of morning sun and then it’s in shade the rest of the time. So much confusing information on the Internet with places saying that they need at least four hours of sun.🤷♀️
Hi I just ran across your video for the first time and was wondering where in Texas you were? I am in San Antonio and wanted to inquire about a landscaping job for a property we just purchased do you have a website
Hi! I’m in a North texas. Up by McKinney. I don’t have a website, just this RUclips channel.
Hi Gina! I’m
Just a personal gardener 😊
Oakleaf hydrangeas are also native which is why they do better. ❤
Oh my gosh! I nearly flipped when you said you lived in North Texas. I’m from Dallas and I was searching for information on the ‘Ellen Huff’ Oak-leaf Hydrangea. May I ask, did you plant your Oak-leaf hydrangea in part sun, dapple shade, or shade? I’m being gifted a 5 year old specimen and scare to death ill kill it. Thank you in advanced and enjoyed your video🌻🐝🌻
Mine are on the east side of my home. I never water them. They get sun from 12-2 only. You’ll love them! So easy and so showy!
When do you prnthem
We have a bed under a window in the front. The bed is 12 feet long & 4 feet deep. It's 4 feet high to the bottom of the window. This area gets full afternoon sun in KC(zone6) We'd like to fill up the bed with a few of them. What oakleaf would you recommend?
I’d try the ruby slippers oak leaf hydrangea. Mine gets texas sun in the afternoons and it does great. They stay under my window ledge. Hope this is helpful!
@@SalongirlGardens Thanks for your reply! I think we'll give the ruby slippers a try!
@@indkeith enjoy! I love mine!
Would I be able to grow in way down south Texas?
Probably.
Oak leaf hydrangeas are native and attract pollinators where the mop heads do not.
