I had black soot on my floor from a gas water heater repair. OMG! It was an epic disaster. I had no idea how tough black soot was to clean until then. It ruined my old mop. I used all my cleaners, sponges and scour pads; nothing would clean it, Then I remembered I had a box of Magic Erasers I had never opened. It was just crazy!! The floor was glowing in 5 minutes. I hope I can find one of these Eraser mops.
Thank you for this. I ADORE the Magic Eraser and could not exist without it, but wondered how the floor would work? More than the tile, I imagined it might have a problem cleaning the grout without actually applying force since the grout is typically slightly lower than the tile. However... off to Bed Bath I go to give it a shot. Even if it only works once, for just over $11 it's a pretty good deal. Know lots of people with the name Davila - so had to smile. Including my husband's grandmother. :) Ciao!
if you want ur magic eraser (hand held) to last longer make sure it is fully wet and saturated with water first and then you can squeeze out most of the water to use it and it will not rip or break off!
Mr. Clean magic erasers peel like you said and that seems to be the problem with the magic eraser family of products is that they are only good for a couple of times.
The mop is great...until you have to put on a refill. Horrible instructions and even worse customer service. When I finally got a rep on the phone I was read the exact same instructions that came in the box and offered a set of replacement metal screws...ummm yeah, this is going back. $12 for a mop I can only use a few times, horrible. If you want a mop that works and you throw away when the head needs replaced then this is the mop for you lol. Should be called a single use mop and not refillable!!!
Is this a one-use mop? I had no trouble getting Magic Eraser onto my mop but after washing half my small kitchen floor the mop head began peeling! Sorry but this is NOT what I was looking for in a replacement mop-head.
shrubjunky this is something you would use to mop with on a daily basis. If it's peeling bad then you don't have it wet enough or you have a lot on your floor to get up. I used mine 2x before i replaced the top

@@shrubjunky The point of a product is for it to work, so if it cleans anything no matter how dirty it is you shouldn't need to use it more than once or twice. After that it's just up to you etc and how clean it's decided to keep that area clean going forward. Magic Eraser seems to be a product that's used as a last resort necessary for extremely dirty areas and then normal cleaning products and cleaning accessories to keep the area clean that the Magic Eraser has already dealt with. However I do agree products should last longer when they're useful.. I have a magic eraser.. I'll try the mop and maybe it'll be better than others I don't need to mop often but that's me.
DO NOT buy the butterfly mop it fell apart first use and the replacement head has no way for it to stay on. How dare they sell this junk to people who work hard foe their money
This is a real piece of junk. The first use it had bits and pieces of white sponge all over my ceramic tile. I looked at the end of it and it was a tore to hell. Real piece of Sh*t.

I have a mr clean sponge mop and I want to change the heads and don't know how, cannot find any instructions anywhere.

Hi gorgeous, I found this for $8 on sale at staples. These use Melamine Foam I believe which can be bought extremely cheap on ebay.

Where did you buy it in stores? I can't find it anywhere (only online where it's more expensive than you mentioned).

That would be interesting. Let me know how that turns out. If they are textured walls be away the mop may shed a little just like the sponge would.
