I must died at least 30 times before I managed to defeat him (barely). Watching you parry and dance with him so gracefully and effortlessly is amazing. It’s extremely gratifying and depressing at the same time 😢
This enemy can teach you so much from parrying to dodging. That’s why I stubbornly refuse to beat him for about 3,000 attempts now. Don’t wanna waste the training opportunity.
This taught me how to parry, I stumbled through my first play-through against them but on my second play-through(Post-Joosh) I was determined to learn to parry and put what I learned from watching Josh play into practice before I dreaded these fights but now I thoroughly enjoy them.
Crucible knights are the single best way to learn parrying in Elden Ring. I've found that learning to parry against them has also made me more confident parrying in other games as well.
This guide allowed me to accomplish what I thought was impossible for a couple of days, namely beating the Crucible Knight. Great video, much appreciated! Instructions were very clear to follow.
(This is my hardest boss currently) I beat this dude after the Bell-Bearing Hunter, I didn't parry because I'd rather learn to dodge. This guy caused me so much trouble (20+ Attempts) and as soon as I upgraded my sword I destroyed him. I'd recommend to get a good sword and learn his attacks to beat him. (Bloodhound's Fang +5) My tips are to roll INTO his shield when he does the attack. Don't panic roll (easier said than done) Get away from him to heal up by simply running Don't be greedy (only attack AFTER his combos are done) Jump attacks are your best friend
Stuck on this boss at the moment, so this guide is a massive help. I know how to roll through his attacks and when it’s safe to strike, so fingers crossed for a victory on my next attempt (or 10)!
I took him out dodging the first time. Once you learn the moves its not too bad. My only issue was the endurance of how long you have to dodge. I'd just mess up once and it would throw me out of sync and die. lol
Excellent lesson for this boss! I’m a strength build, and this is my first Soulsborne game experience, and I beat him last night after dying like 6 times……I use the colossal great sword +6, double handed and Flames Of The Redmane for my Ash Of War…..excellent dodging and precise attacks man!!!
Great video, honestly. Every time time I look this guy up it's a mage cheesing the hell out of him. Finally a mele explanation. Although I have no parry on my shield for my unsheath skill, you still explained his moveset excellent and gave tons of tips to avoid attacks. I keep coming back to this guy when I level up and he beats me like a red headed stepchild every time. Hopefully your tips will help me Finally destroy this paint chip eater Finally. Subscribed. Great video
Very good one! You could do one on how to defeat Malenia (blade of Miquella btw) cuz it seems like people think it's impossible to do it without +10 mimic tear and RoB spam
Has there been some upgrade cause he rarely does the attacks from his right aka my left where I can parry with my left hand and when he does it’s all at diff paces
I keep parrying and either it won't work and he hits me, or it makes the sound like it works and he still hits me but I won't stagger or fall I'll just take damage 😪 this is frustrating

This is the only video on youtube that actually explained how to deal with the second phase tail.
Absolutely loving these tutorials, Joosh! Very detailed and informative!
Thanks kitty! :D
Love these short tutorials

I love the way you talk such clarity and concise
Nice guide dude. I learned a lot watching your streams. Good you’re putting these in short form videos!
Always enjoy watching @theJOSHfeed lay the smack down on Crucible Knights. Best way to get parry down.
Been struggling with this guy! Decided to give parrying a try and after maybe 3 hours I learned how to parry his hits and defeated him. Thank you
Did u parry in 2nd phase or dodge in 2nd phase
@@funfill1985 some of both
I searched many guides for this boss and you are the only one who explains how to dodge the most annoying tail attack! Thanks a lot! Like 👍
Fantastic guide, absolutely trivialised the fight for me

hell of a good tutorial for those wanting to fight the Crucible with more specifics. Lovely! :D
Nice job dude. That was really helpful.
Damn you are skilled at this game

It's definitely an endurance fight early on in the game
This is insane, and very insightful. Will be going up against the Crucible later today, so I'll keep your tips in mind!
This was an excellent tutorial

Notice that the tail swing once from the right 6:10,
and twice if he swing it from the left 6:05.
Crucible knights will only ever tail swing twice immediately after their flying attack
I did not know you could jump over his dive bomb attack. I'm learning new things about this game all the time.

I’ve finally learned to parry. Thanks Joosh!!!!
I'm glad I could help!

That's one the way in the coming days! Sick at the moment so things have slowed down a bit but still working on things here and there.
Awesome content.
I don't have to party him but I will do it anyway because I love it!
Is it possible to teabag the knight between every riposte?
Yes, yes it is. Really brings them down to earth too.
amazing, i always try to cheese these guys
Didnt know the parry thing I just beat him with dual hand greatsword in so many try 😂

Omg ain't no way I'm this type of gamer

The button that ash of war is set to. Parry is an ash of war so the same button applies.

His tail hits WAY to fucking fast i have no time to react in time.
The double tail is easy the singular one is so hard to time right
