      There are certain people (entertainers, musicians, writers, political figures etc.) that we gravitate to and will always remember. Jack Lemon, John Lennon, JFK etc.
      Robin was one of them. I saw him live at the Laugh Stop in Newport Beach in 1977 before he made it on TV or the Big Screen. I told him he reminded me of Danny Kaye- after seeing his Hamlet with a Check or Soviet twist. He shrugged his shoulders and really didn't reply. But onstage he KILLED. He will never be forgotten and he is / will be missed. MO

    I've been watching Robin Williams interviews from the 70s/80s for the 3/4 hours and I haven't laughed this hard ever. Laughed so hard I've cried about 8 times. Most comedians you have to be willing to have a laugh to find them funny but he is such an insane genius, feels like 100 jokes a minute and some of them are seriously brilliant. He is head and shoulders above anyone else in that way. His flame burned so blindingly bright, we should be very thankful to have had him for as long as we did.

      EVERYONE DESERVES TO KNOW WHAT IS KILLING THEM. WHAT A CRUEL WAY TO END A LIFE HE WAS DYING FOR YEARS THROUGH THAT HORRIBLE DISEASE AND NO ONE INCLUDING MR WILLIAMS HAD ANY IDEA HE WAS DYING AND APPARENTLY NOTHING COULD EVER BE DONE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH DEPRESSION OR MENAL HEATH BUT ALOT TO DO WITH MEDICAL INCOMPENCE. IF THE WHOLE WORLD KNEW EACH DAY THIS DISEASE WAS TEARING HIS BRAIN APART WHO WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY BY THEIR WHITE COAT AND SHAKE THEM UP. WE CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT THEM BUT THIS WORLD IS SO MESSED UP EVERY PERSON NEEDED HIS REMARKBLE HUMOR. IF ONLY GOR A FEW SECONDS. WE AS THE WORLD COULD STAND BEING WITHOUT A FEW SORRY DOCTORS BUT WHO CAN AFFORD TO REPLACE A TRUE GENIUS OF HIS STATUE.

    And he did.

    There have been lots of amazing comic geniuses on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson over its 30 year run. However, no two guys could turn Johnny into a laughing pile of mush better then Robin Williams and Jonathan Winters. You could tell Johnny was just as excited to see them and see what they'd do as the rest of us at home. Just wonderful television.... unlike today's garbage talk shows.

      I agree with everything you said...except "today's garbage talk shows". Turn off the "biggies" and you can find brilliance. James Corden, before him Craig Ferguson, Trevor Noah, all very talented. One thing they all have in common? Not American. Why is that?

    • @alaboutfood2326
      @alaboutfood2326 5 лет назад +3

      BJ Stone Sorry but when Corden 1st started he was great-funny for the sake of funny, now it is obviously staged hate like Colbert Seth Meyers, Trevor and the rest. Back in the days some may include Leno and Letterman picked on both parties (Clinton, Bush43, even little on Obama-- even if they personally hated the then POTUS they kept it more professional). I dont agree with many of what our President says but nowadays even Corden sounds like, no matter the channel, it is every second of nearly every show about vicious hate. Watch the DeNiro on Colbert for proof. If people are still crying how he won in 2016, they can blame themselves for putting Hillary on their podium. I am very much for a woman for President but she most certainly needs to stay out of the limelight. Sadly, elections have been a "lesser of two evils" for a long time.

    • @alaboutfood2326

      Rich Little too. Rich doing his Carson on Carson's show was classic. Johnny watching Rich doing Johnny's voice with all the over-the-top tie adjusting and face twiches and looking side to side made Johnny bust up all the more with true self-reflection and you knew Johnny respected him and others like Robin for their well honed craft. Sad that many of them are no longer alive even more sad HOW some decided to go.
