My theory: SCP-1265 is actually the result of people's love and obsession with dinosaurs. First clue was that the area had existed for at least 200 years. The first dinosaur discovered, megalosaurus, was discovered in 1819 before receiving its name 5 years later. Second clue were 1265-A instances being dinosaurs that were discovered were docile to humans unless provoked, 1265-a instances are openly hostile and aggressive to humans and 1265-A instances. Up until their bones were finally discovered, they became reclassified as 1265-A. Third clue is the fact the dinosaurs cannot leave SCP-1265, no matter how hard they try, as if a mysterious force or the anomalous properties of the area was designed to be that way. SCP-1265 is an anomaly that is indeed Jurassic Park; resurrected dinosaurs and non-dinosaurs from extinction so that people would come and appreciate the wildlife. Which is why the 1265-A instances are normally docile because they are loved by so many, especially children. The 1265-a instances, however, are aggressive and hostile because they aren't discovered yet and therefore aren't loved, attacking every living creature out of envy... until they do get discovered eventually. There are so many terrifying and disturbing anomalies out in the world and across space-time, that the more explorative and glamorous anomalies that exist for the heart and soul of the appreciative. (Note: I also find it interesting of the "floppy-earred ceratopsid" 1265-a instance, it appears that if evolution, or more accurately when, is given the chance to change this dinosaur family group further, it would have made the frills softer and turn into appendages similar to ears. What purpose would these ears make? Most likely how African Elephants use them, flapping them to radiate excess heat under the harsh African sun. And also communicate with each other, and express either joy or anger. But, because of that meteor, we're never gonna get the chance to see them evolve any further, or more accurately they're not gonna evolve any further. And Microraptor Foundationii, I would've LOVED to see a creature with more than four limbs that isn't a cephalopod or a bug. I would've called it a 4-winged griffin if I saw that thing in real life.) Sorry about this little rant, I've always liked dinosaurs ever since I was a kid. You can't blame a guy for being a dinosaur enthusiast, right?
Mguma-monene is a real leyend. Is supposed to be a living Amargasaurus (but is probably fake) And the Mokele-mbembe is supposed to be a sauropod (probably fake to)
Spinosaurus was actually a species native to modern day Africa and (unless recent finds have proven this false) were never located in America at all. Their fossils have been found in Morocco, where scientists believe used to host a expanse of riverbeds. It also was most definitely crocodilian in appearance and cold blooded, with a spine to maintain body temperature. Of course, chances are that new evidence will arise and may or may not disprove what we thought about it.
The first fossils discovered with imprints of feathers were the Archeopteryx in Germany in the 1860s but neither Kentrosaurus, which is not an American dinosaur, nor Camarasaurus, which is an American dinosaur, were therapods and probably did not have feathers. Also, Spinosaurus was a semi-aquatic therapod from Africa, not the US, but it definitely would not have had feathers since it was not related to the therapods with feathers. However, there were some "feathered" Ornithscians like the Psittacosaurus with imprints of quills on their backs.

I would've called it a 4-winged griffin if I saw that thing in real life.)
Sorry about this little rant, I've always liked dinosaurs ever since I was a kid. You can't blame a guy for being a dinosaur enthusiast, right?
Dinosaurs are still alive
Thinking about all the undiscovered dinosaurs makes me think … there has got to be A lot of 1265-a instances
Spinosaurus though popularised in America is still from Africa namely Egypt and Morocco
11:21 is that a walking with dinosaurs reference
That depiction of Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus is straight up from the 2000s💀
THe scientist had tears when he released the dino ;-;
Give him back the dino

Ark players: "Hey, I've seen this one before".
I wonder..if you killed, cooked and ate a dino, do you think the meat would be removed from your stomach upon crossing the border..?
9:08 yeah, Safe and Clean Planet initiative
0:25
Did that Dino just give a double middle finger? 😆
This SCP: *exists*
Me: uhhhh just gonna steal these documents here, don’t mind me.
Your Kentrosaurus is way off. It should have shoulder spikes and it should have half plates in the front and spikes in the back
Mguma-monene is a real leyend. Is supposed to be a living Amargasaurus (but is probably fake)
And the Mokele-mbembe is supposed to be a sauropod (probably fake to)
The more I listen too these the more I think theres a hint of realism too these
Theres actually not a single hint of realism in any of these
Spinosaurus was actually a species native to modern day Africa and (unless recent finds have proven this false) were never located in America at all.
This sounds like dinosaur fans dream
The first fossils discovered with imprints of feathers were the Archeopteryx in Germany in the 1860s but neither Kentrosaurus, which is not an American dinosaur, nor Camarasaurus, which is an American dinosaur, were therapods and probably did not have feathers. Also, Spinosaurus was a semi-aquatic therapod from Africa, not the US, but it definitely would not have had feathers since it was not related to the therapods with feathers. However, there were some "feathered" Ornithscians like the Psittacosaurus with imprints of quills on their backs.
This is nice. I love this
Lovely! Sounds like a fun one. Just a minor point that piranha don't actually act like that... Usually.
the way they research almost feel like a Jurassic park R&D lab for growing and breeding new dinosaur
I'm a huge fan of Dinosaurs and Jurassic Park franchise, this was an interesting video and SCP.
This is instantly my favorite scp because the Spinosaurus is my favorite dinosaur
10:33 Love this channel, but my gods seeing that made my inner perfectionist whine.
The wings were they arms and legs, not attached above them.
