In the bustling city of Port-au-Prince, a routine patrol turned into a chaotic gunfight on Tuesday afternoon when Kenyan police officers, part of the Multinational Security and Support (MSS) mission, confronted armed gang members attempting to rob a rice shipment. The gangsters, caught in the act, engaged in a fierce exchange of gunfire with the patrol team. Tragically, the truck driver was killed, and a Kenyan officer was wounded in the left shoulder.
Despite his injury, the officer remains in stable condition, reflecting the resilience and determination of the MSS mission. The high command reported that the gangs, suffering serious injuries, fled and took refuge in the tall buildings from which they had been shooting. This incident marks the first time a Kenyan officer has fallen victim to gang violence since their deployment in June.

They joined the military and worked for the UN. They are doing a job and are soldiers. They are sending money back home to their kids and they should know their fathers are soldiers. What is an American soldier doing overseas? They are protecting the US interests and are in the army. Your comment doesn't make sense and you have soldiers from around the world in Africa. They are doing the same thing on the continent and are preventing you from k*ll*ng each other like in Haiti. What are they doing there? Their countries have nothing to do with Africa and are far away. I don't want to say too much to you and am trying to control myself. A European, or an Asian would never have made such a comment, and soldiers from around the world have traveled to Ukraine to help. Some of them are former military men and are just volunteering.
