    God led me to good people that were extremely helpful for my mental health. The Lord went as far as having me thrown in jail once I finally prayed to be delivered from the hell of drugs and homelessness. Glory to God it worked. That gave me the jump off point for full recovery.

    I know what it is like all too well to deal with and fight depression, loneliness, discouragement, addiction as a former 15 year long porn and masturbation addict quitting last year since I was 12 (now 28 and clean for a year), anxiety, etc. Ultimately those things God allowed to bring em the closest I ages ever been to Him and back to Him making me aware of my need for Him.

    I'm not sure if anyone else here has seen the movie Cabrini and maybe it's just me but I was exhausted just by watching it. That woman seemed to have limitless energy and it made me feel lazy and guilty because I know that in a hundred lifetimes I could never do an atomic fraction of what she did in one.

      Deepen or increase your humility by means of humble confident prayer to God. The more humble you are, the more you will do greater things for God and to your neighbors and the more souls you will save because as your humility increases in all areas of your life, all your virtues will increase as well in those areas. BUT there are saintly souls whose good works will not immediately produce good fruits but only later or only after their death as willed by God as in the case of St. Therese of Lisieux. During her life on earth, she had done nothing great in the eyes of many people for she was too hidden from the world and she had done only very common duties and seemingly insignificant chores. Almost no one knew that she converted even one sinner . Only very few souls knew her great virtues. But when she died, only then did the world discover her great holiness and how many souls she has saved!
      "Offer to God your sacrifices of your good works bearing no good fruits. In God's time, they will bear good fruits.". - St. Therese of Lisieux
      "I am very much on guard against advancing God's hour." - St. Therese of Lisieux

    Hello! I found on the Catechism paragraph 61 the answer for my friend's questions. They were inquiring me why we don't consider old testament people as Saints. You answered me that they are considered as such. I decided to surche more, and I found it on the 61 paragraph. Every time someone question me I find the right answer. God has been so good for me.

    Go to the Sacraments of healing namely: Confession and Eucharist and sacramentals like the Rosary etc. These Sacraments and sacramentals of the Catholic Church have great power to heal us not only spiritually but emotionally, physically and mentally as well. ..... BUT many catholics DON'T feel or feel much the efficacy of the healing power of these Sacraments and sacramentals of the Church. WHY? BECAUSE the degree of healing that we get from the Sacraments and sacramentals depends ONLY on the level of our true contrition for our sins and our good disposition in receiving them.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +2

      That is why we need to pray every single day for the grace of perfect TRUE contrition for our sins and the grace of perfect self-knowledge or the grace to know all our sins so that these 2 graces will keep increasing in us until we reach their perfect level or 100% or completeness.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +3

      The higher the level of our TRUE contrition for our sins, the more efficacious are the Sacraments and sacramentals of the Church to us.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +2

      The lower the level of our true contrition for our sins, the less effective are the Sacraments and sacramentals to us. If we have zero true contrition for our sins, the Sacraments and sacramentals of the Church have also zero or no healing power on us.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +2

      FIND the areas in your life where you have zero contrition or only little contrition for your sins and keep praying to God to give you the grace of PERFECT TRUE contrition for those sins of yours. How can you do that or how can you discover FULLY the areas or your sins for which you have zero or only have little contrition? The answer is you need the grace of perfect self-knowledge or the grace of knowing ALL your sins.

      👏 Exactly!
      Regular Mass attendance, The Rosary and simply allowing the Holy Spirit to take over has given me a peace like non other.
      Sure.. is there negative thoughts or distractions? 💯 but my trust in God overcomes these attacks from the evil one.
      Will trials with moments of difficulty arise? Absolutely!!💯
      The goal for the enemy is to take away Christ’s peace within you away.
      Christ’s peace is the only thing blocking him from bringing me back to depression,anxiety,no confidence in God,fear etc.. the demons want to be in control but aren’t able to get thru,not when I’m being consistent with my prayer life, sacraments and avoiding sin.
      Spreading joy and kindness helps one mental state in a major way because you’re spreading it onto others.
      Another reason why joyful devout Holy Spirit filled faithful get attacked frequently by demons because people are being impacted by your example.

We have to clean our FAITH from all useless and false things that the world introduced in our minds! Educate yourself and help educate others, ignorance is the reason and root of the stigma. I've always talked openly about my own diagnoses, trying to help my family and friends understand better so it's not so scary for them. My biggest struggle was if I see a counselor or therapist, then I'm lacking faith. Then a couple of things happened, actually a few years after I was in therapy, a preacher told me, if you have heart problems you go to the heart doctor, if you have mind/brain problems, you go to that type of doctor for help. God showed me on His Word, King David, and many other kings, had counselors, also Joseph of Arimathaea was also a counselor. God gave us counselors/therapists just as He gave us medical doctors and I'm very thankful for that. God bless you as you continue to share, to reach out, and to help others!

      Pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you in your decision-making so that your decision will be in accord with Gods will. If your decision is in accord with Gods will, your decision is right and will be for your own good and you will not regret your decision.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +1

      There are times when it is right to stay but there are times also when it is right to separate. My favorite catholic evangelist Bo Sanchez advises women who experience marital esuba (reverse the letters) to separate from their dnabsuh (reverse) and don't live with him until he changes for good. As I said, the best thing to do is follow God's inspiration to you because there is advice that is good and applicable to others but not good and not applicable to other people.

    • @marietav7342
      @marietav7342 7 месяцев назад +2

      My stance on this issue is this: .... IF an desuba (reverse) wife is not yet spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically strong and the sesuba (reverse) that she experiences make her even weaker and weaker spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically as the days go by, then, it's good for her to leave, to be away from her abusv hsbnd. St. Monica (mother of St. Augustine) and St. Rita of Cascia had both suffered from their abusv hsbnds but they had not left them. Eventually, by the grace of God, they converted their husband. These saintly women were very strong spiritually due to their great holiness and great faith in God. God willed for both of them to stay in the abusv relationship because God used their sufferings to obtain the conversion of their husbands. Again, follow God's inspiration to you because there is good advice that is good and applicable only to other people but not good and not applicable to others.

      I wish I had the spiritual strength of St Monica and St Rita. My illness is possibly making this cross more difficult to bear. I grew up with a narcissist father, watching my mother suffer and eventually die at 59. I'm 44 now. Autoimmune issues and inflammatory illnesses run in the family. Many have died before 60 with others suffering at least one major acute event (heart attack) in their lifetime. I'm really struggling with prayer. Illness and bad marriages are a generational problem in my family. Makes me wonder about generational spirits creating chaos. Maybe God is calling me to be a better person. I'm sure the saints had their days of feeling down too.

    Hello! The Catholic understanding is that marriage is a permanent institution. I've already seen the answer to a text on Matthew that Jesus seems like to allow an exception in the Catholic Answers, and I found it very interesting. But I read 1 Crinthian 7:15, and there is a part that seems to allow remarriage when an unbeliver leaves you, and it says that you are not bound to it anymore. What is the explanation for that?
