I love visiting "The Fort". I have many good memories. Only stayed once and were going to stay last year, but the hurricane had other plans. One day we'll do it again.

we hit Fort Wildnerness this past weekend..first time in years. I forgot how nice it was. Stayed in a cabin and it was perfect. We used to have a camper and did that whole thing with the kids. Our daughter is in her 20's now and came just for 'old times sake'. A lot of kid stuff doesn't apply to us anymore but it was fun anyway. Watched the fireworks (they are later on nights of the Magic Kingdom Halloween event). I hate seeing them take these cabins out. As always appreciate seeing your cute as a button face and info. (are buttons really that cute?). Oh..it was HOT at MK.
I’ll have to ask my sisters if they remember the train in Fort Wilderness, they were ten and seven when we went there in 1975. I was only four and don’t remember much, which is weird because I’m the one with the best memory in the family! 🤷♀️ I do remember that the road in was all forest, it wasn’t built up like it is now!

You HAVE to spend more than a night ar the Cabins. My late wife and I have spent numerous nights at the Campground. During the Holidays we loved renting a Cabin and Cart and seeing what the "Loops" produced!!!

My family and I stayed at the cabins last week! I’ve gotta say… if I were to do it again, I would make it a resort only stay. We had to shorten our trip and didn’t have time to soak in and experience everything at Fort Wilderness. The space was nice to have. So much storage! Great video! Love your positivity!

The only benefit to the new modern cabins is hopefully it will be more space and newer updated materials. Other than that this theme is so much better than what they are going to be doing.
I can explain most things disney. the food the need for everyone to play in a safe space. why people stay up to cheer a chain fence with old holiday lights is something you just have to believe in. What an OG day.
Once you’ve driven a golf cart, the car you’ve driven for years suddenly feels huge and noisy 😜 The cabin looks incredible! Love the mason jars. I think “cozy” is exactly the word for it - the cabins may not be the most luxurious accommodations on Disney property, but they’re arguably the most nostalgic. Also… 24:18 so far, this is our favorite moment in any Super Enthused vlog ever. 😂 It’s a shame to think that all of these rustic log cabins are basically going to be trendy shipping containers in a few months’ time 🥲 Glad you two were able to book a proper stay before progress runs the place over. when i was younger my family randomly picked up a disneyworld tourism guide from a travel agent. it had individual sections about each hotel, and this is the one i've always wanted to stay at! i remember staring at the pages, thinking about how cool the cabins looked :-)) super awesome video
I remember doing the canoe trip to the beach there in the early 80's. At that time they had the electric light parade on the water. We had a competition to see who could get the most marshmallows in their mouth. I won... a bag of marshmallows. LOL

I've only ever seen videos of the fancy fort wilderness cabins. I'm guessing those are the DVC ones maybe?? Anyway I didn't know these basic styles exist. The new design is an er, interesting aesthetic choice but we all know mock ups can change and maybe those will. Looks like a fun time nonetheless.

Stayed at a cabin during Halloween last year. First time. Absolutely loved it. Very comfortable accommodations and SPACE!!! Price is ridiculous, and I can’t imagine how much more they’re going to charge in the months ahead.
I love the cabins. I stayed there a decade ago. I especially liked the boat ride to the wilderness lodge. You can enjoy this area with no park visits at all

Fort wilderness! It’s been a while since we’ve been …( the 90s 😅) but the memories. The golf carts look like the way to go and so fun! 🙌 I love seeing the campsite decorations people put out. What a fun video. 🩷✨
My husband and I stayed at the contemporary in June for our 20 year anniversary. We were just relaxing on the beach and didn’t even know about the water parade. It was such a pleasant surprise! So retro 😂
I tent camped at Fort Wilderness and my first night I heard the music for the water parade, and had no idea what it was or where it was coming from. I kind of shouted, gently, at my camping neighbor "Where is that music coming from!?" And they had no clue either. Lol. When I finally figured it out, I watched it from Clementine Beach and it was fun.
My family always stays at Fort Wilderness. We never did the cabins but we would camp there and had decades of memories. Nice calm place to come after busy park days.
I will be watching this at least 5 times. 😅 You perfectly captured all of The Fort (as we Fort Wilderness lovers call it). And yes a golf cart is a must! I've already watched it on our big screen twice. Thank you! ❤️
Loved this video Jackie!! Fort Wilderness lodge is a beautiful resort!! The new updates on the cabin will look so cool and modern! Wow I had no idea but the wood cabin was actually mobile home would not have guessed that it was!! I love the light show at night, so awesome they played the music to The Little Mermaid!! I love it!! so glad you and Sam got to have a great time there before the remodel!! ❤️😊😊😊
We have been staying in the cabins the last few years and love it. We switch each year to either do the Halloween or the Christmas seasons . The decorations by the RV campers is worth the trip in a golf cart to see then all.
Only real ones love the electrical water pageant ! Lol that used to me my best friends and I favorite thing when we’d step out of MK after the fireworks

Thank you so much for documenting this! In my line of work, I frequently need to travel to Orlando for extended periods so I've gone through many of Disney's resorts. Fort Wilderness is by far my favorite because it felt more like a home in a community than a room in a hotel.

I am very impressed. Thank you so much for filming and sharing. I know it's a fake in-the-woods but seems that it could be quite unique for being at Disney World. It would be so nice with younger children as well. Almost like being in the woods, and seems quite Disney fun. I love the campsites and area. It was funny to see how much food you cooked. I actually like the exiting mobile homes that look like log cabins, compared to the modern ones. Thank you again.

Years ago when things were much cheaper, on one of our non park days, we resort hopped to Ft. Wilderness and rented a golf cart. It was around $30 for an hour a think. We rode everywhere. It was great. We weren't staying there, just went and rented the cart as a walk up. This was way back in the early 2000s. I loved Trails End when it was a buffet. It only cost for an adult back then around $8. The food was awesome. I really hate to see things how they have changed so much there at Disney. The old classic Disney days seem to be gone. Maybe one day some of them will come back. I really would like to feel the "magic" again.
I wanted to stay at those cabins so bad, but never made it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to stay at the new ones. Thank you for taking us on your adventure.
We've stayed at the cabins twice now...love it here at Fort Wilderness...there's also a couple Facebook groups that are dedicated to scavenger hunting here
I didn’t know the cabins were being changed to dvc. We always wanted to stay there but it never seemed to work out. Thank you for taking us along. You guys are adorable.

That was so fun! We did the cabins in 1993 (yes we’re old lol) and we tent camped one fall. We’re DVC owners so we can’t wait for the new cabins!!!

Thank you so much for documenting this! In my line of work, I frequently need to travel to Orlando for extended periods so I've gone through many of Disney's resorts. Fort Wilderness is by far my favorite because it felt more like a home in a community than a room in a hotel.

I am very impressed. Thank you so much for filming and sharing. I know it's a fake in-the-woods but seems that it could be quite unique for being at Disney World. It would be so nice with younger children as well. Almost like being in the woods, and seems quite Disney fun. I love the campsites and area. It was funny to see how much food you cooked. I actually like the exiting mobile homes that look like log cabins, compared to the modern ones. Thank you again.

Y'all seemed to enjoy greatly 😊 Sam seemed to love grilling😊 Fun relaxing stacation 😊 Fort Wilderness is on our bucket list of places we want to see and stay at in future😊 Although my hometown town here in TN is surrounded by woods and cow pastures, I still would like a Fort Wilderness vacation 😅😊 It looks like a great vacation place. Be there with my sister and brother-in-law in early Nov. hoping the X-Mas monorail crawl has started then.
Years ago when things were much cheaper, on one of our non park days, we resort hopped to Ft. Wilderness and rented a golf cart. It was around $30 for an hour a think. We rode everywhere. It was great. We weren't staying there, just went and rented the cart as a walk up. This was way back in the early 2000s. I loved Trails End when it was a buffet. It only cost for an adult back then around $8. The food was awesome. I really hate to see things how they have changed so much there at Disney. The old classic Disney days seem to be gone. Maybe one day some of them will come back. I really would like to feel the "magic" again.

I love the cabins but if you have a very little one its hard to go back from the parks when they need a nap
I wanted to stay at those cabins so bad, but never made it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to stay at the new ones. Thank you for taking us on your adventure.

We've stayed at the cabins twice now...love it here at Fort Wilderness...there's also a couple Facebook groups that are dedicated to scavenger hunting here
I didn’t know the cabins were being changed to dvc. We always wanted to stay there but it never seemed to work out. Thank you for taking us along. You guys are adorable.
