When I was 13 we drove our RV from Michigan to the Ft Wilderness Park. During the day my parents and 2 brothers and I would do Disney stuff together. After dinner and if my homework was done, I could go out. I'd take the tram to the park until closing and go on my favorite rides. One night, alone, I rode Space Mountain about 10 times. 😊 You brought back these great memories. Thanks 💖
When you go driving around the campground it’s called “looping” as all the sites are in loops. So the line Kitra said should be “Get in loser, we’re going looping!” 😂 love it!
The Fort is the original magic of Magic Kingdom! You have discovered the secret the rest of us have known for 50 years! It looks like you had a ton of fun! My first experience of WDW was in ‘70s as a child camping at the Fort because it was the only thing my parents with 9 children could afford to do! We drove in a VW bus with a camper from the mid Atlantic region and stayed a week! I loved FW more than Magic Kingdom then because of the freedom running around and swimming in the lake (no pools back then). My mother would sneak me into the Polynesian hotel’s pool when I wanted to swim in a pool and that was extra magical too because of its waterfall! As an adult I stayed in the log cabins and found it so very charming and going “looping” around the Fort every night in the golf cart was extra special! When I retire my dream is to work at the Trading Post every day until I can’t any more! Keep on traveling! 🫶😀
I have many of these same happy memories as I am about to turn 60. We drove down most summers from New Jersey and stayed in our little travel trailer and my happiest times were at FW. Wish River Country was still there -- it was wonderful. So glad the Hoop is still happening. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge in July and did the Hoop, my daughter in law's first time. Still so much fun. This video captured the charm of the Fort!
In 1975 family trip to Disney! We camped at Fort Wilderness! Best memories. Parents purchased a package the included an adventure for everyone. My brothers jet skied on Bey Lake, my sisters , River Country, and myself and mom horseback riding. Back then we got a ticket books, tore off to redeem to ride. Only park MK. Since we were in our teens and preteens, we an experienced the park on our own, my sisters, and I and my brothers doing their own thing, however, our Mom made all of us save a ticket to experience the Hall of Presidents together. We experienced the Hoop-Dee-Doo, my Dads favorite, huge splurge! Jus amazing memories I’m planning a trip next year, fifty years milestone, with my kids and grand babies. Thanks for the video, it brought treasured memories
Looked like so much fun! Every time Chip And Dale was mentioned I kept thinking about the "dancers" which took my by surprise when you guys said "We're just here for the smores....and the chip n dales" 😅
When I was a kid my family road tripped from AZ to FL and camped here. It was the only time we went to Disneyworld when I was a kid and it’s my all time favorite childhood memory. Now I work here at Disneyworld and going to explore at this resort is so nostalgic and fun! I can’t wait to check out the new cabins
WDW Fort Wilderness is my Home Away from Home. It is such a special resort. So much to do and right smack in the middle of the magic. We have stayed there more than 20 times since 1996 and it is the only place I want to stay. I don't stay anywhere else on property. Thanks for showing the new DVC Cabins. Look much more spacious than the originals.
I had my bday there. It was soooo nice to glamp, but also feel old school Americana, camp nostalgia, be outside, almost meant for you to slow down and enjoy your indvidual space. All with a Disney theme, and MK just a hop-skip next door. This video warmed my heart. Thx yall!
I sooo loved this. It's one of my favourite adventures that you've done. I'm so retro this warmed my heart. Love your videos. You're so so warm and genuine. We may never be able to afford to do the trips you do, so we live them through you. ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this video. As a DVC member, I never thought I’d want to stay at Ft. Wilderness, but after watching this video, you’ve happily changed my mind.
I love your content, yall are so genuinely happy and nerd out and appreciate your time in the parks BUT you also provide really premium tier content with awesome music and edits. 🎉thanks for your videos they make me smile ❤❤
Guys, I loved the video and the place, you make me so happy. I truly felt the need to write because I don’t know what you’re doing, but you both look amazing and very happy. Thank you for the incredible content, please don’t stop. You motivate me so much to not quit my horrible office job so that one day I can visit the places you so lovingly show us. 🐿🐿
I absolutely love your videos! They are so fun yet so informational, thanks for this its helping me and my family plan our dream vacation... I am wondering though, what camera do you use? The quality is so great! Thanks 👍🧡
Thanks so much. We use the Sony a7s3 and it’s great but I wouldn’t recommend it for a non video professional because it’s expensive, complicated and heavy
Hi to both I just wanted to say how much I adore watching your videos. I stumbled upon your vlogs only recently, and have watched soooo many. You both are such kind, warm, genuine & appreciative people. You're my latest and favourite comfort watch when I'm feeling down! I'm not even a Disney fan or watch Disney related content but now i'm HOOKED and can't wait for my next trip to the Disney land where I live in HK! Just wanted to share some love & gratitude towards you both, and can't wait to watch your next adventure.
I’m so happy you have found a new place to love! I wish we had a Disney Fort in Northern California, can you imagine how fun it could be😱They could have all kinds of Disneyfied Camping activities. Thanks for the fun video, awesome shots with the stick camera!! 🧡🖤🧡
Aww thank you Kitra and Peter! FW is our favorite campground and we haven't made it back in two years! We miss it so much and you made an amazing video that matches our memory of home!
Love the fort! It's the best. Also fave quote, "im excited to check it out and have a hootin, tootin....rootin, bootin...scootin good time, know what im sayin?" 😂 Kitra, you're the best!
So excited ya’ll got to go to fort wilderness. I’ve been a fan of the camp grounds for years . I love it there . I’m so happy you got to stay there and I could tell you both were really truly enjoying yourself there
Hey, that bread looks fantastic! Could you put the leftovers in the fridge, since you have a fridge? I think the last thing you said, about it should never change, is the problem that many people have with the cabins. It is a foresty, clamping experience, even in the old cabins. When I was in High School and heard about WDW and then the Fort Wilderness campground, I was blown away with the idea (and also the Wilderness Resort). Just like I'll never ride 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, I'll never get to see what Fort Wilderness was originally like. But hey, asi es la vida. This was an enjoyable and interesting video to watch. Well, like 90% of your Disney videos. Thank you again!
I never even really thought about this resort, but after watching this video I am seriously considering booking a trip. Looks so peaceful! And getting the boat to yourself must have been amazing!
As soon as I saw chip and dale everywhere, I knew you guys (especially Kitra) would LOVE this place~ I LOVE smores so this hotel is definitely ideal (and sorry, I LOVE burnt marshmallows 😂)
This looks like such a fun place to stay!! The show looks great too!!! I hope hope hope you guys can go to Dollywood soon. I’d LOVE to see your take on it. 💜❤️🩷🩵💙💚
Definitely go for Christmas! I had wanted to do the Fort at Christmas for a long time. We rented an RV from Mechams and got a golf cart from them with it. We stayed for 2 weeks and decorated the campsite and golf cart. We did so many things even though we only went to each park one day.
A little boy wore a Chip and Dale head headband/mickey ears and gave Chip and Dale two acorns. We played a game where they did a bracket competition of who is the best animal mascot. A British family almost made Chip n Dale lose early but the cast members voted and kept them in the game to ultimately win. Later during the campfire sing a long- Chip n Dale made that little boy their honorary guest. He was thrilled. I couldn’t help but think of Kitra and hope that she had or would visit the chipmunks in all her chipmunk swag. 🐿️🐿️ I am impressed by how light you both pack. 👍
I visited the ranch on my last trip and it was so cool! The new cabins also look very comfortable as well as practical inside. Thanks for showing! Oh and I love chip and dale too 😊
We camp there pretty much every year. We have an rv we bring every time. Might have to try the new cabins at some point. There’s so much to do there without really having to even go to the park for a quick weekend getaway.
Hi Peter and Kitra, I just wanted to share my story from Australia! I listened to Peter on the /film podcast years ago up until Lorcana podcasts took over my time last year 😂 I knew he loved Disney (and Kitra) from that but no idea you guys had a RUclips channel! We travelled the 22hrs to DLP last year and we are now planing a trip next year. The past 2 months we decided we may do a US trip in 2026 or 27 and started following wholesome YouTubbers like Paging Mr Morrow and Mammoth Club. And then we stumbled upon you and immediately felt a bond and had a Leonardo DiCapro pointing at TV meme moment when I heard Peter’s voice! I even pulled up an old /film podcast so my wife could listen. It’s only been a couple of weeks but we love to watch your episodes and will follow onwards!
I get excited seeing you guys get excited! 😂 Those cabins look great. We are trying Animal Kingdom Lodge for the first time this December! Also, we did Hoop Dee Doo in 1982! I was 9 and shy, and one of the actors complimented me on my headband. I remember it all!😂 😂😂
That’s how I grew up going to Disney my whole family staying in fort wilderness. My 1st time I was 8 and now I’m 53 and we are staying in the new cabins in February. My brother bought a travel trailer just for taking there and goes a few times a year. Such great memories at the fort!! 😊
You’ve done it again guys, was having a bad day, but then I watch your videos, and it puts a smile back on my face, love joining you both for your adventures, love all your content ✌🏻
Had to comment again. As a pass holder who's chicken when it comes to most coasters I can attest that the Dollywood cinnamon bread is worth going in and out for. Lolol And the food in general there is so good. 😋 We love Auntie Grammys and this other one that's under a big tent in the Summer I forget the name but it's delicious.
Kitra shares my philosophy on smores! 🏕️ My pro tip for smores is replace the Hershey chocolate with a bougier option, I loooove using a dark chocolate Reeses cup!
@@OrdinaryAdventures I did, but I bit off more than I could chew. 4 parks in 3 days is just not humanly possible. Needed some rest days between parks. It was my first time at DW, but lived next to Disney Land for years. Nobody warns you that at Disney World, its 2000 steps between each ride, and Disney LAND has 200 steps between each ride. Huge difference!
This was a great video! My wife grew up with horses and it was all I could do to keep her from grabbing a credit card and immediately booking a cabin! I asked Disney chat and they say Non DVC members can book these cabins but only after disney "releases" them to the public. ie. once DVC members don't book them. On the other hand, when I went on the website it looked like I could book them freely....
I gotta say I think one of my favorite people in the video was the banjo player that y'all sat next to! He seemed like someone who was really fun to talk to and he was AMAZING on the banjo (and underrated instrument)
Fort Wilderness is my favorite resort as well. Still being Disney without it being overly Disney. The Hoop Dee Doo has been such a joy to attend over the years and when I was feeling down, an excellent pick me up!
My favorite place in WDW. I am happy that you guys got to experience it. And as someone who has hiked and camped here in Florida? I like it a lot!!! Thanks guys!!!!
This has been my family's favorite resort for as long as I can remember. We have seen a few cabin upgrades through the years. It is such a hidden amazing gem of WDW and so awesome to see you both enjoy all that the campgrounds have to offer. You should try to come during holidays and see how people dress up their campers and golf carts. They even do golf carts parades! Fort Wilderness is pretty awesome. ❤
Thank you Peter n Kitra❤❤❤❤ love how you showed us this. I have watched a few others who have been but they didn't show what you guys did n I love how you guys did it. Again thank you.❤😊
What perfect timing, I literally just booked a cabin this morning for my 40th in March. I was excited before but wow now I can't wait, thanks for sharing all the tips.
I went to the Hoop Dee Doo when I a little girl. I loved everything about the show they even called out all the people with birthdays which I was apart of the group made my night special!!
Ft. Wilderness is one of my favorite places to stay at WDW. It’s so much to do and it really feels like an entire cabin getaway away from the hustle & bustle of Disney. Such great food!
Dollywood has so much more than coasters! It has so much for everyone. The train ride is fun, the Christmas musicals are awesome, the mountain views, the shopping, the cinnamon bread, there is just so much beauty to look at!
Oh my god its been so long since I've commented or even watched a video!!! how are you and peter doing Kitra? I vividly remember being addicted to this channel, re watching videos and watching videos that were around before i found this channel!!
Kitra, you are truly amazing how you respond to pretty much every comment on your videos. You remind me of myself, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but we are very kind people and I know we would be friends till the end. I hope I get the chance to meet you and Peter one day. ❤
Thank you so much for this I used to go there with my family in a pop up haven't seen this campground in like 30 years We use to hit the pool after the park at night felt sooo good on your sore body
My family and I took our RV to Disney World in 2010 when I was 15. We stayed at Fort Wilderness for 2 whole amazing weeks! It’s such an underrated resort but going to the parks during the day and sneaking back to the campground in the evening was an incredible experience. My favorite memory was catching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from aboard the ferry between Fort Wilderness and Magic Kingdom.
That artwork above the couch/bed! ❤ that old-school cartoon was one of my favorites as a kid. Anyone remember that one??! Mickey & Donald eating the corn on the cob like a typewriter 😄
Delightful. Man would be sweet of you could also catch a boat down to Epcot (& even AK as well). Occasionally ruminated on the notion of the tent sites but then realize it’s Florida & that it’s likely be miserable (especially after a full day in the parks). PT # TOWELL
Loved this video - love your perspective on the resort. Definitely want to stay in the new cabins they look really nice. which dvc resort is your home resort? would love a video on dvc from you guys you always bring something unique to a video. You are a great couple and fun to watch.
Welp. I’ve always said that whenever I finally make it to Disney World it would have to be Fort Wilderness and y’all just confirmed that it’s a vibe for sure. The food the carts the new cabins, the fireworks! S”mores and Chip N Dale?! I haven’t even made it to Hooptie Doo Reciew part yet but I. Am. Sold. Also that 360 camera work always blows my mind but the golf cart shots are 😮 - another great adventure! Yall are always convincing me to try stuff I’ve never tried before.
Trails End kitchen is used for Hoop Dee Doo as well! It used to be a buffet there and it was so good! It is one of the favorite places to eat for CM when not working.
The first Disney trip I remember as a veeeery small child was to the old cabins at FW and I loved it. That place is definitely special! and the golf carts are so fun! You need to go back at Christmas and see how everyone decorates them!
If you go at Halloween, the camper section decorates for Halloween and I’m pretty sure the camper section also decorates for Christmas as well. 👍❤️ Great Video and so fun.
@@OrdinaryAdventures I learned from watching @kyle Pallo. I was introduced to you through @jojo’s world highlighting you on his vlogs. I watched a few of your videos and subscribed. I came here to say something similar😂
When you go driving around the campground it’s called “looping” as all the sites are in loops. So the line Kitra said should be “Get in loser, we’re going looping!” 😂 love it!

I literally just got back home from a 4 night stay and the Poly, and I cant stop smiling while watching your video.
Hope you had fun
@@OrdinaryAdventures I did, but I bit off more than I could chew. 4 parks in 3 days is just not humanly possible. Needed some rest days between parks. It was my first time at DW, but lived next to Disney Land for years. Nobody warns you that at Disney World, its 2000 steps between each ride, and Disney LAND has 200 steps between each ride. Huge difference!
I'm both impressed and confused at how you guys get around to so many things. Looks like a blast!
We were there for two nights
This was a great video! My wife grew up with horses and it was all I could do to keep her from grabbing a credit card and immediately booking a cabin! I asked Disney chat and they say Non DVC members can book these cabins but only after disney "releases" them to the public. ie. once DVC members don't book them. On the other hand, when I went on the website it looked like I could book them freely....
I’m sure they will become available soon
Omg! Yay! Ft Wilderness is soooo good! So glad yall are having good Disney World Resort experiences! And Hoop Dee Do is fun! Grateful for this video!
So good!
I gotta say I think one of my favorite people in the video was the banjo player that y'all sat next to! He seemed like someone who was really fun to talk to and he was AMAZING on the banjo (and underrated instrument)
🙌 he was great
Fort Wilderness is my favorite resort as well. Still being Disney without it being overly Disney. The Hoop Dee Doo has been such a joy to attend over the years and when I was feeling down, an excellent pick me up!
🙌
My favorite place in WDW. I am happy that you guys got to experience it. And as someone who has hiked and camped here in Florida? I like it a lot!!! Thanks guys!!!!
🙌
This has been my family's favorite resort for as long as I can remember. We have seen a few cabin upgrades through the years. It is such a hidden amazing gem of WDW and so awesome to see you both enjoy all that the campgrounds have to offer. You should try to come during holidays and see how people dress up their campers and golf carts. They even do golf carts parades! Fort Wilderness is pretty awesome. ❤
We definitely want to come back during the holidays
Thank you Peter n Kitra❤❤❤❤ love how you showed us this. I have watched a few others who have been but they didn't show what you guys did n I love how you guys did it. Again thank you.❤😊
🥰 thank you
What perfect timing, I literally just booked a cabin this morning for my 40th in March. I was excited before but wow now I can't wait, thanks for sharing all the tips.
Hope you enjoy it!
I make a breakfast scramble that looks exactly like that each Sunday morning. :) SO Yummy!
Yum
Pic above bed is fishing lures ,bobbins😊❤
👍
@@OrdinaryAdventures btw really loved this video this place looks like great fun!🐿🐿
Great job with the selfie stick shots, Peter! Another great video from OA!
Glad you enjoyed it
I went to the Hoop Dee Doo when I a little girl. I loved everything about the show they even called out all the people with birthdays which I was apart of the group made my night special!!
❤️
Ft. Wilderness is one of my favorite places to stay at WDW. It’s so much to do and it really feels like an entire cabin getaway away from the hustle & bustle of Disney. Such great food!
Totally agree!
Dollywood has so much more than coasters! It has so much for everyone. The train ride is fun, the Christmas musicals are awesome, the mountain views, the shopping, the cinnamon bread, there is just so much beauty to look at!
We definitely want to come for all that
Oh my god its been so long since I've commented or even watched a video!!! how are you and peter doing Kitra? I vividly remember being addicted to this channel, re watching videos and watching videos that were around before i found this channel!!
We are doing good. Hope you’re doing well
@@OrdinaryAdventures Oh man i am doing amazing.
Kitra, you are truly amazing how you respond to pretty much every comment on your videos. You remind me of myself, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but we are very kind people and I know we would be friends till the end. I hope I get the chance to meet you and Peter one day. ❤
Thanks we try. But 90% of the time it’s Peter responding, I’m usually busy editing
Thank you so much for this I used to go there with my family in a pop up haven't seen this campground in like 30 years
We use to hit the pool after the park at night felt sooo good on your sore body
👍
My family and I took our RV to Disney World in 2010 when I was 15. We stayed at Fort Wilderness for 2 whole amazing weeks! It’s such an underrated resort but going to the parks during the day and sneaking back to the campground in the evening was an incredible experience. My favorite memory was catching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from aboard the ferry between Fort Wilderness and Magic Kingdom.
That is awesome!
That artwork above the couch/bed! ❤ that old-school cartoon was one of my favorites as a kid. Anyone remember that one??! Mickey & Donald eating the corn on the cob like a typewriter 😄
I’m gonna have to look it up
Delightful. Man would be sweet of you could also catch a boat down to Epcot (& even AK as well). Occasionally ruminated on the notion of the tent sites but then realize it’s Florida & that it’s likely be miserable (especially after a full day in the parks).
PT # TOWELL
That would be cool
Loved this video - love your perspective on the resort. Definitely want to stay in the new cabins they look really nice. which dvc resort is your home resort? would love a video on dvc from you guys you always bring something unique to a video. You are a great couple and fun to watch.
Aulani is our home resort
🙌
Okay the Hoop de Doo Bob Rootin Tootin Scootin Bootin Review was adorable and looks like a lot of fun. The dude with the banjo is def a hoot.
This is such a cosy and wholesome vid! A nice break from the busy park ☺
Thanks so much! 😊
I am so glad you enjoyed Fort Wilderness ❤ It’s such a special place 💜 I hope to stay in a new cabin soon🎉
So magical
I love vaudeville and old-style musical revues. Hoop-de-doo and Fort Wilderness are for sure at the top of my WDW must-do list.
👍
Trails End kitchen is used for Hoop Dee Doo as well! It used to be a buffet there and it was so good! It is one of the favorite places to eat for CM when not working.
Makes sense
Thankyou for the new update.. I loved Hoop de Doo!
It's so good!
THE SYNTHWAVE RETURNITH!!! One could say I am a connoisseur of Synthwave. Thank you so much guys for the jams during the montages :D
Our pleasure!
Great video! Yall are so wonderful. 😊
Thank you!! 😊
The first Disney trip I remember as a veeeery small child was to the old cabins at FW and I loved it. That place is definitely special! and the golf carts are so fun! You need to go back at Christmas and see how everyone decorates them!
We’d love to
Chip n Dale .. AND Horses!! This is the place for me!!
🙌
If you go at Halloween, the camper section decorates for Halloween and I’m pretty sure the camper section also decorates for Christmas as well. 👍❤️ Great Video and so fun.
So cool we’d love to see it
@@OrdinaryAdventures I learned from watching @kyle Pallo. I was introduced to you through @jojo’s world highlighting you on his vlogs. I watched a few of your videos and subscribed. I think I first became interested when I saw you on a cruise with JoJo. This spring or summer. Possibly may been on the icon of seas ship, but I’m not sure. I’m from WI. My brother and family live in L.A. area. He’s in “the industry” and his wife is teacher . Just loving your videos.catching up older vlogs as well as catching up on new and older videos! Thanks for fun entertainment!👍
Oh my gosh, I wanna do the hokey pokey with Chip & Dale! Time to start planning our camping trip to Fort Wilderness 😊
You should!
Awe, I love the horses and ponies. 🐎
❤️
This might be my favorite vlog ever. ❤
🥰
So excited for this video! Thank you for what you guys do! ❤️
Our pleasure!
Hello Kitra and Peter you are going to Love the new Disney Files magazine
Will look it up
I LOVED seeing that one of the Notorious Banjo Brothers performers at the Campfire Sing a long.
👍
Great adventure. Makes me wish I lived in Florida so I could try these places…oh wait. :)
😂 you could stay there and then go to the Lego store in Disney springs and get a set and then build it in the cabin haha
@@OrdinaryAdventures now there an idea, a Disney LEGO set at that!
