This is good news for our country. We have been suffering from this brain drain, as our more gifted citizens have left to serve other countries. This is timely because more jobs are opening in the Phil. We have to understand too that the presence of our workers in other countries have led to their own citizens to be jobless.

You are right. The Philippines is the oldest democracy in the region yet it has been left behind. The Philippine government MUST stop looking abroad for jobs for their people. Progress comes from within. Jobs must be created in the provinces to encourage people to remain there instead of clogging the streets of Manila living in shanties which make the country look disgustingly poor, YET it has a lot to offer if the government and the people work harder to improve where they are instead of dreaming of life abroad. The OFWs have a hard life abroad too trying to provide for their families. The Filipinos must also change and get in their heads that corruption is not a way of life. The people MUST change instead of being slaves to their own corrupt officials. But I guess, it is easier said than done. Sorry, I am ranting. I have lived longer abroad than in the Philippines and I get so angry when all I see are the ugly shanties in the city and people talking how the country is sooooo poor and third world. Wake up Philippines, what are you going to do when all your people get sent home? Do you have jobs for them??

We respect and appreciate those who work in our country, including doctors, nurses, technicians and all fields who work and above all they are the best workers in our country... And I am sorry to say this now that the one who stopped the Filipino workers is not the Kuwaiti government but those responsible for the Filipino workers from the Philippines and this is a fact and you can verify it... I say do not deprive people from seeking a livelihood, they need to work abroad to help their families and children. I hope you understand the situation in some countries, including Kuwait. I doubt Filipino being very loyal. Just look at the politicians who cross floors depending on who can provide them with unprogrammed funds and intelligence funds. It's not only the office of the vice president who receives intelligence funds, but even the office of the president does. And the senate and congress have as well. It's just one simple basic example of Filipinos' questionable loyalty. They don't even know personal, economic, social principles for general welfare. Whatever serves their personal agenda and selfishness it is there where their loyalty goes.

Not welcome? do you mean those countries are against Filipinos? The best here we all welcome anyone who would like to be here. we Filipinos are respectful to all countries. I cant believe this crap South Korea Filipino's are not welcome? If its not because of the Filipinos there will be no South Korea now. when a 1000 Filipino's fought with 40,000 North Koreans and Chinese in the Korean war. so please don't make up stories just to have a content.

Whoever created this blog is not familiar with the culture dedication to work and duty by Filipinos. Filipino nurses, maids and other care providers are preferred by other nations. Remember the carer in Israel who stayed with and died because she did not want to leave the old woman who was under her care when the Hamas terrorists attacked? South Koreans are studying in the Philippines because it is cheaper to stay and acquire the same basic knowledge in the Philippines. As far Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, let the hire people from other country and mistreat them like they did with Filipino workers. Philippine workers are better off in safer countries like Canada, US, England, Germany… England’s Prince’s William and Harry, Prince Diana’s sons had a Filipina Nanny who took care of them when they were young.

The countries mentioned here already have plenty of Filipino workers. They cannot deny the help that Filipino workers brought to them throughout the years. Now, if they no longer want the services from Filipino workers, it’s their prerogative but don’t expect they would receive the same level of quality work that Filipinos bring which is the best of the best. And maybe, it is time for the word-class Filipino workers to finally just stay in their home country and serve their own country and stay with their family and friends happily ever after. There’s no place like home 😢🇵🇭
