How many people were holding their breath, as Su's note went higher and higher, and waiting for the beat to drop?... I didn't start breathing again until the instruments kicked back in. Seriously, i think Babymetal has been taking lessons from edm tracks on when to drop the beat.... not that many bands, especially metal, is so good at building up that anticipation before dropping the beat, no one does it as well as Babymetal. Wished Moa's vocal bit was a bit more though, it sound so good. Love how these new songs all are giving Su a lot opportunity to flex her vocal skills...😄😄😄🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction. This is definitely a song that leans a long way towards the pop end of the BABYMETAL sliding scale, further than most I'd say, not that that is a bad thing - variety and changing things up is what they have always done. It took me a few listens for this one to grow on me ... I could not avoid disco music when I was a lot younger, it was everywhere and I really did not like it at all ... and that opening beat was pure disco. I'm over it now and I can appreciate this song and especially their performance - also I'm sure the live version will have more of the Kami Band's instrumentals and I know to never make my mind up before hearing the live version.
Nice reaction. Call it edm dub step or whatever. But for me this song had a super strong Disco feel to it. And if you don't know what I'm talking about listen to a Donna Summers album or two and you will see what I mean. The song "Turn the Beat Around" comes to mind too. Mixing genres is what Babymetal does. And this is another great song by them. All about the way opposites love each other. And You can't have one without the other as they say. Babymetal have done a couple of songs on a more romantic higher level of love theme. Babymetal have always been on a higher plane of existence then the rest of us. They're just cool like that.
So this album is THE OTER ONE BABYMETAL that has lived in a different world than the BABYMETAL we know. I am looking forward to seeing which BABYMETAL we will see in April 😁.
METALIZM, Believing and ... maybe... MAYA, will be the heaviest ones. MAYA for sure is gonna be the most "WTF" one, in the best way possible 😅. L&D is definitely on the pop side, makes sense, it comes after Monochrome, we definitely need this one to be cheerful. BTW the lyrics are not light at all, pretty much keep the mood of the album, pretty dark, yet always positive. 🤘🏻🦊⚡

This song is more on the popier side for sure but I like those EDM-style drums. Su’s vocals are incredible as always and Moa got some lines too ❤ I still hope we get another first take video this week :) and the new album is only 9 days away 🤘🦊🔥
