Hello Guys Welcome Our RUclips Channel David Mahilange
1. This well was dug in Chhattisgarh and it took 10 people to find this well.
2. During the excavation of this well water started coming from 10 feet and after digging 20 feet so much water came that it could not be dug further.

This is more than digging, this are architects at work. the skills of planing, calculation implementation and organization all included and not one of them is above the age of 30. One love.
I dug ditches when I was very young. It is the worst back breaking work you can imagine. This looks like quite a bit of clay in with the soil. That makes the work even harder. I salute these people. This sort of labor is a do or die situation.
Roots are a bitch aren't they?in through the soil.youd be fit from it though I'd say if you were at it the whole time

some may wonder why do it the hard way when you can just simply use machines to do it? well maybe to the eyes of wealthy city kids it certainly look tiring and a dumb way in their modern world but for country folks like us this is nothing but our everyday way of life ✌️✌️✌️
India is a very poor country and people here are given this employment by the government for them to fulfill their life needs.
@@Devidmahilange I have to say, that this is very ambitious. Great job! As a concrete contractor I have had my share of digging the earth with shovels and pickaxes for the last 37 years! I can appreciate the amount of blood sweat and tears it takes to do this!! Well done!
its may be a reason..But you ever think of wage distribution among them..??? I would say by using Machine, the fund would go to one Pocket..!! I
next, it May be coming under a scheme of Rural employment... or under a grama Panchayat...
So benificiary in both ways must be villagers...ok??
@@Devidmahilange i disagree. If it had been by machinary, one person would have benefited and would have taken 5 days to complete the work.
Here rural people were employed and they have been getting wages for 20 days which is enough to make thier daily living.
Also local people will maintain it because of their effort.
For your info India is not poor country. Our below poverty rate has impoved a lot. It may take 10 years or so to completely eradicate poverty.
I have seen in the USA how so called developed nation having so many people homeless, living on the platform. This is in the middle of well developed sofisticated city called Los Angeles.

Holy crap, us westerners have a lot to learn about cooperation, stamina and perseverance. When I look at the work that went into this I can only say that I am UTTERLY impressed.
They didn't go to the moon right? We can also work together and achieve wonders in this part of the world... We don't need to compare all the time. This is great by itself, not because of others.

Just to be a dick, as a heavy equipment operator a hole that size would take me about 6 hours with a cat 345 trackhoe

yes but often they do without planning in the sense anybody can just fall into that well during the nighttime first someone should think about security and other dangers before just going ahead and digging a hole not thinking. How many times do we hear kids falling into open borewells? Not sure why people only think about just doing it half the work

I have done this work when I was in 8th grade , 9th grade and 10th grade for 3 years in summer vacation. I have contributed to about 50 wells. they are not round but square shaped.

your pumps are very important. protect them from pumping dirt as much as you can. I suggest you put them in some stone or wrap in coarse fabric to filter some dirt out before it gets into the pump. I usually dig hole into water, use pipe wrapped in fabric and put pipe in hole and put stone around pipe. Then pump. All of you did a very impressive job!

wow. very nice and hard work. and a little suggestion. more than 50% of energy was wasted in lefting the weight of the workers' own bodies. so i would suggest using a pulley system and let the workers move only on the top ground. an electric Winch would be evern better.

It would have been nice to see the finished project. Did they line the walls with stone, brick, or something else? Why did they need the water? For agriculture, irrigation, drinking and cooking, to fill a pond? Did the ramp remain part of the well, or was it walled off and filled in? Great example of teamwork!
Most wells I've seen in India have been brick lined. For smaller wells they seem to use brick rings ( rings made of of clay and fired ) stacked on top of each other.
Though judging by the size, this is certainly for agriculture, in which case they probably leave it as it is , since the water doesn't need to be as clear and a little cloudy/muddy is fine.
It will be stone walled else will collapse during rainy season
