I have just discovered ur videos recently. You are very thorough and a delight to watch! New sub here! Wondering where you found the pattern for the bottoms? Did you create it?
What material do you use for the lining and can you make a video on how to create a pattern for dance briefs and tops? I love your channel and am gett8ng into sewing dance costumes for my 7yo.
I'm trying desperately to find a pattern for pole shorts, specifically for a size 18. They need to have a high waste and crotch coverage. Your videos are awesome would love one on making my own pattern for pole shorts. Thank you.
@@scarletandstitch thanks I just ordered some. I love sewing a lot and my kid also does pole. So making things for her. This will make the process a lot faster than basting everything..
Another fantastic video! Quick question, do you use the minus 20% rule for all stretch fabrics? Or is there a formula that alters depending on the fabric’s stretch percentage? Also, do you ever elasticate your waistbands? I normally do and hadn't considered not doing it (less work sounds good). 🌈❤️😍✨
I pretty much abide by the 20% rule for all lycra but that changes depending on fabric (velvet for example). I never elasticate the waistband to avoid too much squeezing and it works just fine and I only elasticate under the chest if the client has a larger chest or requests it.
thank you for sharing this video :) I just subscribed to your channel. Just a quick question about the adhesive spray. I use the same one, but I have had it stain the fabric, and even when I washed it, it did not come out! It was very thin lycra, so even though I sprayed the wrong side, it went through it and showed on the right side :( Has that ever happened to you? How wold you avoid that?
I've 100% had this happen and it can definitely be frustrating. I try to make sure I hold the spray a good distance away from the fabric to get a nice light coating but also make sure the spray nozzle is perfectly clean before using, I find the spray creates those clumpy bits that seep through the fabric when the nozle is congested.
@@scarletandstitch Thank you for your answer :) I will be more careful next time I am using the spray and spray from further away... I appreciate your help!
You’re amazing for making this tysm
I learned so much I never knew thank you!! The finishing line!! Genius!! Bravo!!

Please make a video of all your patterns!!
Hi! I really like your video. What kind of spray do you use for adhesing the fabric to the lining. That would save me a bunch of time :D
Thank you! In this video I used 505 spray but you can really use any basting spray you want :)

It definitely will!! I used to baste everything as well, the spray makes the process so much quicker!

What is the spray called ? Also what sort of lining did you use on this project? Thx.
it is called (505 spray) they sell it at hobby lobby.
Do you reduce the length of the leg elastic? If so, by how much? Thanks!
