I love Brightlingsea .. It is my forever home.. the only place i feel at peace.. and i try to go back often.. lived there once .. for almost 3 years.. hope to go back to live there one day.. It is in my Heart and soul... Its part of me... x x
It's hard to explain the appeal of Brightlingsea. It's pretty, but not pretty enough that it has been spoilt by mass tourism and second home owners. There's a certain rough bleakness about it which seems to add to its charm.

My late husband's birthplace. He took me to visit when we travelled there from Australia. It is a beautiful place and he grew to be a wonderful man.
